problem with the font
hi,
i just downloaded the game, it's running fine
i'm experiencing a few problems with the in game fonts tho.
all text in game is blurred and looks like some kind of asian language.
i'm running on a mac via crossover, so this could be a missing font.
is there any way to manually change the game font, or add the right font to my install?
thanks in advance,
Kevinsane

Could you make a screenshot of the issue?
-
because of this crossover thing i can only make a screenshot if it would run in windowed mode.
only problem i have, i can't find a config.xml file...
ingame the options screen isn't readable
-
Well I never heard of Crossover so I'm not sure about the compatibility.
Might want to check the mlog.txt file for errors regarding the font.
The config.xml file will be created once a setting is changed at the options.
-
i tried to change an option a few times, every time i try to save my new setting the game crashes...
the mlog.txt didn't show any errors regarding the font :/
it did show an error regarding the config.xml file. so i'll try with an old ijji config.xml i found.
i noticed my fonts folder in the windows folder was empty, so i'm currently trying to fill it up with the standard windows fonts.
i'll report back when i have some screens etc.
EDIT: got some screens:

EDIT2: adding all basic windows fonts didn't solve the issue above :/

Crossover is a horrible program at Virtualization and I know by experience, that crossover opens programs in a sandbox (by themselves) and Gunz needs to use other programs so it will work. Surprised you didn't get any DirectX issues. An obvious solution is to get Bootcamp and install windows alongside Mac. Other virtual machine softwares like Parallels won't work (haven't tried VMware to) it gives you a message saying "you can't play in a virtual machine" (question to Dave. Why did you limit that?) OT: a suggestion, try and download a newer version of Crossover and reinstall fgunz on "other" as the software preference. Another suggestion is downloading "Crossover Games" (discontinued but worth a try!).
Wish you good luck on your troubles. And next time, please post your system version, because maybe just upgrading your system or installing fonts that are preinstalled on windows would also solve your problems.
