A Guide For New/Old Players Seeking Knowledge and Information - All Written By me
Spoiler!
Traveling around the world
Spoiler!
You can click 'N' to access the main map while not in a danger zone. it looks something like this;
https://puu.sh/wziJD/6426c25808.PNG
as you can see the map is divided into several main areas connected by lines, these are cities. Cities which are available to go to are marked as blue circles, and those that arent available to go to are marked by a lock. dont worry if your map doesnt look the same as in the screenshot; the more you level up, every 5 levels to be exact, you unlock a new city which u can go to.
You can see the preview of a city by clicking on it and looking on the right side. this is a map that would be seen on the top right of your screen once you are actually in the city.
Every city has its own connections to other cities, 1 danger zone highway, and several key npcs which i will write about later.
you can fast travel around cities by clicking a distant city and spending 1000 gold.
If youre in a city you will be able to walk to different unlocked cities which are marked with blue portals;
https://puu.sh/wziSG/4edf49ea89.PNG
And other cities which are marked with black portals and are not yet available to go to, at your current level;
https://puu.sh/wziUn/ec6d3ea8c2.PNG
Quest system
Spoiler!The main system that guides you through which danger zones to do. Unaccepted quests are marked with an exclamation mark above a person's head in different colors, these can be green/purple/yellow, its the same concept. it looks like this;
https://puu.sh/wzi8W/1efbabf983.png
once you talk to the person by clicking F while in the circle around them, which is also the way to interact with any NPC, and you accept his quest, it will be on the right side of your screen and the mark above the NPC's head will turn into a gray question mark which looks abit like that;
https://puu.sh/wzide/821139e41c.png
and then you are to do what the NPC's quest asked for.
MOST of the quests which are either contributing to the storyline and are imperative to always do (purple exclamation mark) or regular exp ones (yellow), although the purple ones do give exp aswell, most of these are about entering a danger zone highway, which is found in EVERY CITY. those are marked in the real world as yellow circular portals which look like this;
https://puu.sh/wzipM/1e0963b35a.png
OR marked on the map as Danger Zone Highway (hard to miss, just look for these three words in every city map).
Once you enter the portal you will see a list of available danger zone dungeons which you can enter, with a difficulty rating easy to insane.
Once you hover over every dungeon above it will display if any quests require you to complete something in the dungeon, which is quite useful, in order to know which dungeons the quests you just accepted are needed to be done.
Friendlist System
Spoiler!The friendlist is an important in-game system that allows you to gift 5 free gifts to 5 different friends every day. If you click '[' you can see the main UI window for the friendlist. this will by default show the store in which you can buy things with 'heart' currencies, called friend points. using these friend points you can get various items:
https://puu.sh/wzhXa/1bd771d9bc.PNG
So how do you get these friend points?
You are able to collect as many friend points as you want every day, however there are only 2 ways;
- Send gifts to a friend
- Recieve gifts/collect them from a friend who sent them to you
This is possible when you go the actual friendlist, in which you will see on the right of each friend 2 buttons;
https://puu.sh/wzhQa/1bd75883d1.PNG
whenever you gift someone a friend points gift, both you and him will be rewarded 200 friend points. as such, using this method will give you 1000 friend points a day.
receiving friend points however, you can receive from more than 5 people, so the friend points limitation is basically not there and you can collect as many as you want (until you reach the maximum amount of friend points you can hold which is 100k).
The NPC System
Spoiler!Every city has 2ish kinds of NPCs.
One kind is those that are special for the city, And the other is constant npcs that are more or less in every city in the kritika online world.
I dont have much to say about the special-for-city npcs, you just get quests from them sometimes as they are often unique and important to the story based questline.
Here however, is a description of every every-city NPCs you will come across. Note that some of the early cities may lack them, dont be bothered by it tho.
Blacksmith
"big weapons, big improvements, big things"
Your go to NPC for crafting gear.
Looks like this;
https://puu.sh/wzjKr/214a5321fc.PNG
Every Blacksmith in every city is different from one another. Not in the outside look or the name, but craftable gear. to craft low level gear, you will need to go to low level cities. to craft stronger weapons, you will need to go to higher level cities.
The blacksmith does however have a set list of items craftable in every city; the kritium and the consumables;
https://puu.sh/wzjUR/aa0a0ac42f.PNG
the consumables are potions and the enhancement item known as inferior whetstone which will be better explained when i get to the enhancing anvil, another npc.
the kiritum section is for core materials for crafting gear. note that u can turn pieces obtained from the salvager, another npc which i will talk about later, to cores, and cores back to pieces.
now for weapons and gear.
under these 2 sections, there is a level-specified weapons and gear you can craft depending on the city youre in and those have different strengths.
click on an item you wish to craft, and it will display gold requirement, core material requirement, and several other materials. i will explain about the other materials in a different section.
Enhancing anvil
"i'm actually the only npc who makes no sound"
Your go to NPC for empowering your armor and weapons.
looks abit like this;
https://puu.sh/wzknz/3c12b3c596.PNG
Interact with it using F to reveal 2 options. enhancement and enhancement transfer.
enhancement;
https://puu.sh/wzksa/90c221310f.PNG
as you can see there are a few slots. once you right click an item in your inventory it will go to the enhancing anvil, which will make a popup asking for which kind of whetstone you would like to use.
Simply choose a whetstone and it will go to the appropriate slot.
there are 3 requirements to enhancing your items;
- Have whetstones for it
- The cost of gold (displayed at the bottom)
- The equipment is enhance-able.
with these 3 requirements met, you can enhance your equipment. every successful enhance the yellow tube will rise and stay there and your item's stats will increase dramatically, adding +1 to x in the x/max enhancements possible.
once you rise it becomes harder to enhance things as the chances of failure rise.
enhancement transfer; transfer enhancements between 2 items of the same type (weapon-weapon, shirt-shirt, etc).
there is a cost of several items and gold and the enhancement level drops by 1 when you transfer. it can be undone however with real life money.
Merchant
"You wont regret buying from me"
Your go-to person for buying health and mana potions using gold.
The strength of the potions depends on the level of the town youre in - high level towns -> more hp and mana per potion, lower level towns -> less hp and mana per potion.
Salvage machine
"DRRRRRRRBRRRRR"
your go-to machine/NPC for making the best out of useless armor.
you might have noticed that gear only sells for 1 gold coin each, thus making it not worth it to sell to a normal merchant.
this is where the salvage machine comes in, in which you are able to put any item ranked inferior to legendary, and it will salvage it for the fee of 1 gold coin per piece to obtain random amounts of different types of kritium pieces. i wont go as to which rank items drop which items, but ill just say that Epic rated items (purple) drop the purple pieces and legendary items drop gold pieces.
Soul gem processor
used to carve sockets for soul gems, combine 5 soul gems of the same type into the next level one, or fuse 2 soul gems to get a random different one, all for the price of gold.
Valut manager
Your go to person for storing things you dont wish to have on your inventory aswell as store things that can be seen by other characters on your account (account-shared storage). expandable using EMP.
Elixer mixer
Your go to person for purchasing elixers that temporarily boost different stats using gold, for example increase atk by 5% for 10 minutes.
Weapon merchant
Your go-to person for buying relatively good weapons relatively cheap using boss souls which are obtained by killing bosses at non-insane mode. the mega boss soul which is obtainable from killing insane dungeon bosses can be traded for 9 boss souls at the material collection agent (look under)
Material collection agent
your go to person for exchanging boss souls and mega boss souls for various goodies.
Event assistant
Gives you daily quests to do different activities revolving around other players, for example "do 3 pvp matches".
"Trigger Intrusion" Option
Spoiler!Available for danger zone highways from level 30 and above (at the fountain square town and up) and for every dungeon that has a mask sign above the insane option in the difficulty select screen. if you double click and enable trigger intrusion, once you enter the dungeon it will consume 10 "certain challenge letters" and will guarantee that you will come across an intruder. these are VERY hard boss types that will appear on a certain area which u can see on the map as you go through the dungeon. it is highly recommended you get atleast 2 people to kill those. they drop very good loot including gold kritium pieces.
You can initiate the option to trigger intrusion by double clicking a selected dungeon in the select screen and then tick the box that says trigger intrusion, or if youve finished a dungeon you wish to add a trigger intrusion to and you can, you can simply tick the checkbox that says trigger intrusion on the right side of the restart dungeon with f4 once youve killed the dungeon boss.
Bosses
Spoiler!Bosses are special type mobs that appear in the end of every danger zone dungeon. They drop the main loot for the dungeon, and are way harder to kill than the mobs.
Most of the bosses can be knocked down at any time, except when they have a yellow forcefield around their body. thats when they are preparing an attack and thus cannot be knocked down mid way, unless you use some freezing/stunning skills.
Now. if you've played the game for abit, you might have noticed certain bosses are way harder to do than others. These bosses CANNOT be frozen, stunned, be knocked down, whatever youd like. these bosses are unstoppable and will attack regardless of what you do. sounds kinda scary doesnt it...
Anyways, these bosses are distinguishable from other bosses because they have a purple forcefield curving around their body.
you may have also noticed these bosses have a second line of health - that has a shield pic on the left most side. thats how protected the boss is and it shows the health of the purple forcefield.
whenever you attack the boss, the line will slowly go down. all of this you have to do while the boss is unstoppable and can hit you regardless of what you do. after the entire purple forcefield meter went all the way down, it will turn green, the shield picture will turn to one of a broken shield, and the green line will slowly rise back up.
thats your opportunity to blast it with all youve got. once its back up; the process goes all over again.
GEAR IMPROVEMENT
Spoiler!ill be going over every 'special trait', which there are 5 of, that can be used to empower almost any piece of gear (excluding the ones on the bottom most line of your equipment list (which are all locked until level 60));
https://puu.sh/wF0lU/e11504fef2.png
as you can see, this piece of gear has 5 different empowering traits:
- Special Properties
- Appraised stats
- Charming
- Soul Gem
- Enhancing
All 5 of these are available in every weapon, however gear rated blue and under have no special properties, and your piece might not look the same if some of these arent for example used, as in 2/2 for soul gem, which will display in gray.
Special Properties
Spoiler!For every piece of equipment above blue (superior) rating, there will be a special property. these enhance your piece of equipment in different ways and in end-game they provide important buffs such as summoning a boss that gives you and your team a dmg buff for 30 seconds, then disappears.
these are all passive skills, which means there is no hotkey for them and they will be applied automatically once you attack or do whatever it is the special property requires.
some special properties can just enhance accuracy for example by 100 permanently.
You generally wish to avoid bad special properties such as one that has 1% chance to completely freeze you or the enemy.
Special properties cannot be rerolled in this version of the game as the item to do so isnt out yet.
Appraised stats
Spoiler!The number of different appraised stats varies between the rating of the piece of equipment. legendaries have the most, which is 5 appraised stats, purple has 4, blue has 3, green has 2, and white has none.
these are randomly selected traits with random values, selected from a different list of possible outcomes depending on the piece of gear, for example a shirt cannot receive extra attack and a weapon cannot receive extra defense. You can press CTRL to show the appraised stats your weapon has however to get them in the first place you must first identify the item. The values can be altered, resetted, and have their values changed using reappraisal and recalculation scrolls which i will talk about in the future.
stats you want to have on your individual pieces of gear, keep in mind some pieces do not have 5 appraisal stats available but i will write every good stat anyways, keep in mind some arent even 5 stats so the rest dont matter:
Ring
- Bonus damage +x%
- Crit damage +x%
- Attack speed +x%
- Attack +x
- Element of choice +x (dark/ice/fire/lightning/poison)
Earring, Weapon, and Necklace
- Bonus damage +x%
- Crit damage +x%
- Attack speed +x%
- Attack +x
- Element of choice +x (dark/ice/fire/lightning/poison)
- Critical +x
Note that these are 6 stats, which means you have to give up on one. Attack speed +x% is the least important.
Helmet
- Critical +x
- Accuracy +x
- Element of choice +x (dark/ice/fire/lightning/poison)
Shirt and Legs
- Critical Damage +x%
- Element of choice +x (dark/ice/fire/lightning/poison)
Gloves
- Attack speed +x%
- Element of choice +x (dark/ice/fire/lightning/poison)
Shoes
- Element of choice +x (dark/ice/fire/lightning/poison)
I will give more information about elements in the future.
Charming
Spoiler!Using charms to give different effects to weapons.
You need to find the best charm on which you can right click and apply to a piece of equipment if the charms description contains the type of the gear in its description.
What are charms?
Charms are special items found in your consumables tab that each has a special property and applies different stats or behavioral changes on weapons for example.
The main way to obtain charms is to first get to level 65. Not that it is impossible beforehand, but it is both unnecessary and ineffective in lower levels and every charm level I you get can basically be trashed with no worries.
Once a charm has been applied to a piece of weapon, it is not retrieveable and you may only apply new charms to the piece of gear if you wish to change your mind or got a better charm.
How do you get charms?
In level 65 you get access to the last town known as starhenge in which the bosses drop violet boss souls or just purple ones as i like to call them. Inside the shop marked with a single sword on the map you are able to buy either a random charm box for 8 purple boss souls or one which you can decide on the outcome of.
It is generally better to buy the random one as both kinds give charm level IIIs however the random one can also give IV and V ones and the one where you can choose has more limited quantity and choices than the random one, however with the same price.
Once you have your charm box opened with your charm you are able to do one of 2 things:
- Combine 2 charms to earn a random one of the same level aswell as a relatively small but reasonable chance to get the next level one, for example 2 III charms can be combined into either getting a random III charm or a small chance to get an IV one. Combining requires using a charm melder which can be crafted by the NPC that looks like a gachapon machine and has a smiley symbol on the map. Note the different charm melder levels and items required vary because melding 2 Charms of level III is cheaper than 2 level IVs. This is because you need a different kind of charm melder, a higher tier one.
It is important to mention that in order to craft your charm melders you are highly recommended to go to a basic town which isnt keskyu outpost, xanadu nor starhenge as the prices in order to craft charm melders there are higher than prices in the rest of the towns.
- Use the charm on a piece of gear to apply its properties and consume the charm. Keep in mind the charms description tells you which charms can be used on different pieces of equipment. You cannot retrieve the charm after using it on a piece of gear.
There are 2 kinds of charms which ill call normal charms and elemental charms;
Normal Charms
These are your normal charms that are circular shaped and are applied to all pieces of gear.
Elemental Charms
Known as charms which inflict elements instead of stats. Those are not circular shaped, and are applied to weapons specifically and apply a certain element effect to it so all your attacks become under the effect of the element. Note that there are other, normal charms, that apply element effects however these are not for weapon, the bonus damage you get from the element only comes into effect when either your skills are of a certain element or you put an elemental charm on your weapon.
Soul Gems
Spoiler!Each and every piece of gear besides the lowest row as usual (all 4 items in which are locked until level 60) can have 2 soul gems put onto it.
How does one get Soul Gems?
Soul gems, also known as Rubies, found in the soul gem tab in your inventory, are obtained from doing a daily dungeon called training camp 5 times every day.
These daily dungeons are found in most cities, but the hardest one is found in the town Deeprock Mine.
Once you have unlocked the dungeon, unlike other dungeons, you will not be able to get immediate access to insane mode. instead you will start from easy, and each victory in the previous difficulty will unlock the next difficulty, until u get to insane.
These dungeons take a minute at most to finish, and are relatively easy and straight forward. you just kill some mobs, and then you kill a pretty weak boss. at the end you are able to gain some drops from the boss (never from the mobs on the way to the boss though, to save you some time), and things from the RNG card system like you have in normal dungeons. you can get random soul gem boxes that provide you with a random soul gem for the corresponding level (random chest II gives II soul gems and so on), and the III soul gem chest which is the rarest contains soul gems that you can choose. you also get other useful items from these dungeons such as items that can be used to combine 2 soul gems and reappraisal and recalculation scrolls on which i will write later.
Once you have enough soul gems you would want to focus on 4 types.
- Accuracy (x6 Soul gems at the highest level possible)
- Element (ice/fire/lightning/poison/dark) (x6 Soul gems at the highest level possible)
- Either Attack x6 or Crit damage % x6 (at the highest level possible)
there are very little differences between the last 2 I've written so its really up to personal preference. The Soul gems have different names from the stats they give so here they are:
- Accuracy - Precise Sapphire (level)
- Element - (element) Topaz (level)
- Attack - Irresistible Ruby (level)
- Crit Dmg % - Fell Ruby (level)
note the order i put the soul gems in at the start (
), these are separated into which pieces of gear they can be put on. each type has 3 pieces of gear to go to, and there are 9 pieces of gear in total, so it works out.Quote:
- Accuracy (x6 Soul gems at the highest level possible)
- Element (ice/fire/lightning/poison/dark) (x6 Soul gems at the highest level possible)
- Either Attack x6 or Crit damage % x6 (at the highest level possible)
you need 6 of each because they can be put on 3 pieces of gear, 2 times per piece of gear.
What do I do with them/How do I use them?
In order to be able to put soul gems on your equipment you will need to first create a socket for them in the machine that's called soul gem processor found in every town, shaped like a diamond on the minimap.
once youre there you have 3 options;
- socket a piece of gear and place soul gems onto it (default option when u speak to the npc)
- craft 5 types of the same soul gem to create the next level one (5 II's -> 1 III)
- fuse 2 soul gems to obtain a random one, with the option of choosing which one you want for the cost of a soul gem fuser which is obtained from the dungeons i spoke of above
all of these actions cost gold, and removing soul gems from equipment is also possible for a small amount of gold.
Enhancing
Spoiler!done using the anvil marked as an anvil on the minimap.
You can find more information about how enhancing works and is done by looking at the part of my guide which is about the Enhancing anvil (NPC List)
Enhancing can increase attack or defense depending on the type of equipment;
Attack - Weapon, Ring, Earring, Pendant
Defense - Shoes, Gloves, Shirt, Hat, Pants
Enhancing limit and current level can be seen by the x/y values just under the name of the item once you hover over it.
Higher level items have higher enhancing limits and as you enhance further you can get passive effects, for example +500 attack for reaching 9 enhancements on a weapon.
You can see which enhanced items give which passive effects by clicking ctrl and scrolling down as much as u can while hovering over the item. This will also say how much the next enhancement will increase the corresponding stat of your item (defense or attack).
After you enhance for awhile you might have noticed you are running out of stability. once its below the necessary amount to perform an enhancement, whether it succeeds or not you will have to add more stability using fix-it hammers or the weaker, 3-7 stability (rng) hammers eventually.
Note: enhancing artifacts which unlock at level 65 past level 3 has a chance to destroy them and it costs artifact stones instead of whetstones.
Elements
Spoiler!A very important part of making your character stronger.
It is recommended you ignore this part until you are level 65 because that's when using elements is the best and can provide the best results.
Elements are effects that you may have already found on some pieces of your gear through appraising (identifying) your gear. for example; Dark bonus +10.
What the above appraising stat means is that your total Dark stat will increase by 10. you can view how much of every element you have by clicking the arrow on the left of the character preview screen when you open your inventory and scrolling all the way down.
Every additional element bonus will provide an extra 0.3% Damage, which makes it really important.
Note however, that some classes have certain elements bound to their skills which is why you should look at your skill description to see if where there's piercing/crushing/invincible/break/ultra break/passive/active effects, there may also be an element. this means you do not need to put a charm for element effect on your weapon as ive stated in the guide for charms and all of your attacks will do dark damage by default. so on top of all of your attack, you will have 0.3% damage increase for every element point you add depending on which you need to add. Some classes, like vamp for example, are element neutral, which means they have to put a charm for the type of element they choose on their weapon.
So which element should I choose?
If youre an element neutral class and you wish to choose an element for your class, choosing might be hard. the only difference is not the % dmg increase per element bonus, but instead, the passive skills that take place when you reach a certain level of element. you get a passive skill at every multiplication of 30 up until 90, so in total, 3 passive skills.
you can view what passive skills you get for each element by hovering over a relevant element charm, and look at its description. a dark charm for example, not necessarily for your weapon but for ring/earring/necklace, will display what passive skills take place when you reach a certain level of the corresponding element type the charm you hovered over is.
Note that element charms can only be put on weapon/necklace/ear/earring where weapon has its own type of elemental charm.
Scrolls (Recalculation, Reappraisal)
Spoiler!Used to change around the appraising bonuses you got after identifying your equipment. You can right click each scroll to enter a UI that uses the scrolls on different pieces of gear by simply right clicking or dragging gear into the available slot.
Reappraisal Scrolls
used to completely reroll the appraised stats you got on your piece of gear. you can click the left of a stat to lock it, something that will require more reappraisal scrolls to use once you decide to reroll the rest besides the one you locked, keep in mind you can lock several and locking 4 stats leaving the 5th one to roll alone will cost 600 scrolls on a legendary.
after you reroll the appraised stats you have an option to keep rerolling or apply the new changes.
Reappraisal scrolls are obtained in bulk by the sword shop mark on the minimap at normal towns (150 reappraisal a day using boss souls) or if youre level 65 you can buy an extra 300 a day for the violet boss souls.
Recalculation Scrolls
used to randomly reselect the values given to each type of stat on your appraised stats. this means it does not change what the stat does, it just changes how good it does it.
once you put your item in it will lock little lines to what the old stat used to be compared to what it is after you click recalculate.
like reappraisal scrolls, you have the option to continue recalculating or apply the outcome to the piece of gear. this allows you to perfect the stats you got on your piece of equipment initially.
Recalculation scrolls are rarer than reappraised scrolls, as you can not buy them from the shops, you can only get them from the daily training ground dungeon or from the daily 2 dungeons. If you get a chance to choose whether u want recalculation or reappraisal, i highly recommend to always choose recalculation.
Power Cores
Spoiler!Special items exclusive for level 60+ found in your most bottom-middle slot of your equipment as you can see here;
https://puu.sh/wGL4o/780d890acf.png
these items are different, they are items have durability and once equipped you can see how much durability they have by looking at the bottom UI where there used to be chains on a single slot here;
https://puu.sh/wGLaj/f5dd27eb7c.png
the light blue shows a percentage of the fullness of the core, which is also shown as a number directly on the core, and the light blue line slowly declines with the declining of the durability.
Cores's main purpose is to give additional attack. inferior cores give 1000 extra attack, superior 1250, rare 1500, and legendary - 2000. the difference between the cores is also the maximum durability you get while charged, the rare ones for example, are enough for 2-3 days of playing.
some cores can have additional stats such as bonus for a certain element, dmg reduction, dmg to bosses, etc.
If you go to your skill tab, every skill's description says something about core power. this shows how much durability from your core a single skill will take.
Once you get a new core, it will be locked and will be required to be 'activated' or 'charged' using some pure kritium pieces, about 400 of them. once you run out of durability on a core however, you cannot recharge it, and it has to be replaced. there are several ways to get cores:
- Random drops from level 60-64 dungeons in both keskyu outpost and in xanadu (rated inferior, superior or rare)
- Purchasable for 10 core pieces, core pieces are another random drop from the above dungeons, by the material collection agent in keskyu outpost or xanadu (rated superior or rare, and have random bonuses besides attack)
- Purchasable by a level 6 guild's item shop (rated inferior, superior, rare or legendary (!) ) once per day for contribution points
Note: Core pieces can also be obtained by salvaging used up cores or ones useless to you.
Artifacts
Spoiler!The second 'special' item which is exclusive for level 60 and above, however actually farming them in bulk and unlocking the slot to wear them is only possible from level 65. these items have many different stats and can be combined by artifact fusers found in the same gachapon machine i talked about in the charm fusion, in the second page of crafting inside the gachapon machine. like charms, there is a random chance combining 2 same-level artifacts will yield the next tier artifact. you can also buy artifacts from the auction house for kred.
Artifacts are enhanceable, even if they say 0/0 when you get them. simply put the artifacts in the enhancer's anvil and enhance. this however costs artifact's whetstones which are only obtainable by salvaging artifacts.
You can get a decent amount of artifacts by simply doing the PVE arena every day, these however are 95% of the time inferior artifacts, so are basically just a way to farm free artifact whetstones.
At level 65 you are able to buy a random artifact rated superior (only!) from the sword marked NPC in starhenge for 5 violet boss souls. these can also be salvaged for artifact whetstones.
note that unlike other types of equipment, these artifacts have a chance to be destroyed and disappear after the third enhancement's success, so consider yourself warned.
my personal artifact of choice:
https://puu.sh/wGLRx/ba08bb05fc.png
The devotion system
Spoiler!https://puu.sh/wHvCu/529abc2638.png
Devotion is a system which enhances your entire account when a certain character has reached level 65. the screenshot above has a good explanation about it.
I will also list a screenshot of the daily RP expenditure below. These apply to your entire account, and reset at the end of each day:
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/Br...Hj8h8cVYQ=s650
EX Skills and Awakening Points
Spoiler!A system of enhanced active/passive skills unlocked at level 50. this can be seen in the skills tab (K) when you scroll down. these skills, unlike normal skills which use up mana/blood(as a vamp), these skills use up the EX gauge found in the bottom left of your screen:

The EX gauge fills up as you kill monsters and bosses. each active EX skill activated will cost 1 square out of the 3 to activate, and it will shine on where the normal skill is in your hotkeys, in a yellow outline. note that having pressed tab to activate the mode for ex skills, your line of ex gauge on the left of the 3 squares will drain relatively quickly. this is because youve activated EX mode and you want to use an ex skill as soon as possible or else both your gauge and the saved 3 squares of ex-"energy" will be depleted, and the ex skills that were outlined will be no longer available.
Note: From my knowledge, you get 1 point known as awakening point to upgrade an ex skill of choice every level, either passive or active. note that ex skills which are passive for certain other skills such as increasing the damage output of skills, will require the original skills to be of a certain level. you can click the ex skill and if it is not available it will mark off the parent-skill you must upgrade first to unlock the ability to enhance it. the max enhancing of ex skills is level 5. these awakening points are reset when you reset your skill distribution aswell as the normal skill points.
Auto-attack system & auto targeting
Spoiler!The auto attack is an option which you can enable by going to skill tab -> options -> auto attack. what this helps in doing is mainly allow you to hold down a skill that does a certain combo, for example a skill that attacks 5 times but would normally require you to spam it 5 times, will instead just be held down and attack as fast as it can. this is also enabling holding down a skill key and if its not on cooldown it will continuously attack once its cooldown runs out.
The auto targeting is an option you generally want to avoid unless youre a class like gunmage who needs the bullets/pellets to go directly to the enemies, disablign auto targeting is an individual option for every one of your skills. simply click a skill of choice and disable the box that says 'auto target'. you generally speaking dont want to shift directions because an enemy has run besides you and want a full control over your headings, incase you wanna dodge for example, or attack a group of enemies when one of them might be to your side so itll just target him instead of everyone in the skill's path.
as a vamp i disabled every skill possible from auto-targeting.
Costumes (EMP shop)
Spoiler!You might think these are purely cosmetics because you initially thought these are only for players who pay for the game, but its very much possible to get kred yourself by selling legendaries you get from dungeons. i for example, have made over 10k kred just selling legendaries. every costume piece costs 125 with the exception of face type costumes and weapons. every other type of costume like head, shirt, pants, has 3 available special stats which you can choose when you first them. the model and design is purely for looks, as the possible stats dont vary between same-type equipment. once you choose one of the 3 possible bonus stats, it will be unchanged permanently, or until you get a new piece of gear of the same time, which is when youll be able to re-choose your desired bonus stat.
https://puu.sh/wHwfE/ffa6c12bb7.png
as you can see, there is a large variety of possible purchasable costumes. each one gives bonus stats besides weapons.
in order to see your list of cosmetic items, its here;

PVP System
Spoiler!This system is actually somewhat alike to Gunz's. to enter a lobby for pvp click P (this unlocks at level 15 i believe). you will then enter a lobby in which you can see different rooms other players have made;
https://puu.sh/wHwmj/66b824d840.PNG
there is only 1 room available at the time the screenshot was taken, but when creating a new pvp room you are able to choose between different settings such as adding a password aswell as 4 different game modes;
- 1v1
- TDM
- CTF
- Avatar Battle
i wont really go into much detail about each of these because theyre mostly self explanatory plus the fact ive only ever played 1v1 as the game's mainly concentrated on PVE content, aswell as PVP being too buggy for me at the moment.
Pets
Spoiler!pets are an optional feature, that saves you from needing to click 'f' to pick up items.
pets are purchasable for ~1k kred in the EMP shop (f12).
you can get a free pet once you get to level 30 and finish the event lady's quest to do a daily dungeon.
if we look at the pet interface (inventory -> pet tab), the pet has 2 lines, 1 for experience and 1 for stamina, you can get information about what each does by simply hovering above the line.
From my experience and some complaints ive read on the forums, i wouldnt recommend getting a pet at the moment. this is because to restore stamina to your pet you need to get pet food which is only obtainable by the event lady for 100 green kritium pieces per food, or from the material collection agent for 5 normal boss souls per food. each piece of pet food only recovers 13 stamina to your pet, making it so that if you do like 10 dungeons, youll already be burning through 8 pet foods. as it stands, pet food is too hard to obtain in large quantities, so if you got your 3-day pet, keep it and use it as much as you can, but i wouldnt recommend getting the pets for 1k kred because they are really hard to sustain.
Kred
Spoiler!Alot of people have been asking me questions like, how to get kred, and where should you spend it.
Lets start off from what kred is.
Kred is an important currency, like gold, which isnt obtained directly from danger zones like gold is, instead it is a tradable, much rarer currency that is only obtained in certain ways:
How to get Kred
- paying players can purchase with EMP, which is bought using real life money, in a 1:1 ratio (1 EMP=1 Kred). 100 EMP is 1$.
- you get 30 kred daily if youre an ELITE member. Ill write about ELITE status after this part of the guide
- selling items that have an AH value of Kred and not gold. you can see different items in the game that are sellable using either gold or kred, in their description.
Generally speaking unless youre a paying player, the best way is the third way. however it highly depends on luck -- you cannot get kred selling items worth kred, if you cannot obtain them in the first place. low-worth kred items are obtained by farming different things, like artifacts for example, but to get the more worth items, you need to get lucky and have legendaries drop for you in dungeons. legendaries level 1-60 range between 20 kred and 300 kred, while the level 65 legendaries, the most rare ones which you can do 1000 starhenge runs and get none of, are sold for thousands of kred, ranging between 3 thousand and 10 thousand kred.
Where to spend Kred
so whats this so-called important currency even used for?
you can spend kred in many different places, for example;
- be the buyer of the people selling items for kred. this means you can buy yourself those legendary 65 items for thousands of kred if you wish, to save yourself the need to craft them in starhenge which can take a week.
- buy costumes. these are not only cosmetics, as ive covered in the costumes section of the guide, and they have stats. i recommend buying the bundles instead of single items, as it can save you 150 kred or so with the same price youd use to buy the items individually. you can see the bundles in the EMP shop (f12) at the bundles section. note that weapons have no stat bonuses on them.
- buy ELITE status. this costs on average 1.2k kred for a 30 day voucher of elite as the current status of the auction house stands. if youre wondering how people got those 30 day vouchers, you can get 6 vouchers from the founder's pack.
- keep the same level of enhancement transfer when you transfer enhancements. if you decide to transfer enhancements from an old piece of equipment to a newer one, besides the chaos kritium youll need, you will transfer 1 less total levels from the old weapon. so if it had 7, the new weapon will have 6 after transfer. you can use kred to keep it at 7, and the cost increases as the level is higher. at level 13, it costs 1k kred to keep the same level.
- buy pets from the EMP shop (f12). this costs ~1k kred. for more information about what pets do, read the part of the guide about pets.
- you can also buy other kinds of items from the EMP shop, however there isnt anything worth mentioning as i cant really see anything worth your kred.
Daily level 65 quests
Spoiler!So youve reached max level. whats your plan now? you can't level up, however you have gained access to the last town, starhenge. this town has some extreme-rated bosses (recommended 70k combat rating and party or 4), however i wouldnt really listen to the recommendation at the starting of a dungeon there, as i could pretty much solo any insane with dying once at most, or none at times. this is me at 46k combat rating soloing.
if youve reached level 65, the main goal is to get stronger. new level 70 content will be coming soon so its best that you get ready for it, and trust me, it takes time. here's a list of things you would want to do when you reach level 65;
first things first, when you enter starhenge you receive 4 quests that tell you that you should finish each one of the 4 dungeons available at starhenge at easy mode or higher. easy mode is the only mode available when you just get there, so if you wanna skip right to insane simply do the dungeon with someone else who already has extreme mode unlocked (its called extreme in starhenge, not insane).
once youve done these 4 quests, 9 new quests by 4 different npcs in starhenge will appear, among other quests such as supplementary quests and title quests. these 9 quests are daily quests and require you to finish each one of the 4 dungeons twice every day, to earn an important reward which is known as keystone fragments. i highly recommend you do these dailies every day atleast on easy mode (although extreme is best), if you want to get stronger and actually be able to craft legendary gear.
hero's keystones are the main ingredient you will lack of in terms of crafting any legendary gear by the blacksmith in starhenge, which is the best legendary item crafter in the game as of now. each hero's keystone costs 30 keystone fragments to make, and each daily quest gives 8 keystone fragments. keystone fragments however, are still a common drop from farming danger zones in starhenge. i recommend belladona manor, as it can be completed fast with a good party and is generally the most chosen dungeon for farming. consider that farming is only when you have RP, because at 0 RP, you reach a point where you get a keystone fragment every 5 runs of belladona on average, which is only if youre lucky. note that while you have RP or even if you dont, there is always a slim chance to get superior legendaries that will make a ding sound when dropped from bosses. these items, like the hux legendary level 65 chest, if you noticed, are shining on the ground and very hard to miss. these items are worth ALOT of kred, 3k on the minimum at the current state of the auction house.
crafting a single legendary weapon can take 5 days to a week, if grinding the most out of your RP every day, with hero's keystones being the limiting factor.
ontop of the dailies and farming you are recommended to do every day, there is also another very important part for enhancing those legendaries youll end up getting from farming. these include several things:
Using purple boss souls
once you do a few dungeons in starhenge, youll notice youll be getting these violet boss souls. these are the strongest boss souls obtainable at the moment, and are used at the sword-marked shop that you can see on the minimap. youll notice some items in that shop are purchased with a daily limit, so youll want to buy pretty much everything you can that has a daily limit, with less importance on progressive whetstones, unless you have the boss souls to buy them. hammers for example, are going to be a wall stopping your enhancing on weapons and top-rated gear as you can no longer add stability to it. it is also important you buy from the material collection agent from any town that isnt starhenge, again, all the daily limited items.
Ontop of the daily items you are highly recommended to buy, you will also want to buy the legendary-rated charm boxes, for 8 boss souls each. you can click ctrl+LMB to find out what possible drops are from those boxes. you also have artifact boxes you can buy, to get every possible superior-rated artifacts, which can be either salvaged for artifact whetstones that are used to craft the item to fuse 2 artifacts together to obtain a random one with a small chance of getting the next tier, or used to enhance your artifact. note that artifacts that are useless to you can be sold for quite a bit of kred.
Daily PVE Arena
pretty self explanatory, simply do the PVE arena with 10 boss matches 3 times a day on the highest difficulty based on your CR that you can. ranking top 100 in 60k+ ranking is pretty easy, which allows you to get a costume-wings that have very nice stats.
2/Day Dungeons
unless its a day where you can do any dungeon youd like (saturday/sunday), just do the one thats available. i highly recommend however, on saturdays and sundays that you do the one that gives you either 30 recalculation or 30 reappraisal scrolls box, choosing the recalculation ones ofcourse as those are hard to get. to put things into perspective, you can get 450 reappraisal scrolls buying daily things from the violet boss souls shop and from the material collection agent in every town.
these dungeons are accessible in any danger zone highway in any town, just click the daily dungeons option on the bottom of the screen when you enter the danger zone highway.
Dominion Training Grounds
as a level 65, you would want to do the dominion training grounds that has the bugged quest to kill petra 5 times a day, as it gives the most rewards and highest chance to get better rewards. these give you the soul gems ive written a guide on earlier, which are very important for strengthening your gear. once you got all your gear with full III soul gems, start collecting 4 of each one and then taking one off your equipment to combine 5 to get the IV ones, and so on for V, VI, VII, VIII.
Challenge letters
If you have any challenge letters, find someone OP (like me hehe) to help you do skyship invasions for 30 letters/run that give the best invader chests in the game, the level 65 hux chests. these give plenty of rewards like;
- fix-it hammers
- respawn stones
- gold and black kritium pieces
- 30% hp/mp potions
- other stuff that are of less importance
if you have run out of challenge letters or out of RP, you can chill in xanadu waiting for someone needing help with challenge letters and farm some hux chests. note that these invaders have 730 health bars so, get good before you go there helping others. there is also a small chance to get a 0/15 legendaries dropped from these invaders.
NOTE: You want to do the following before you spend all your RP on farming belladona manor or any dungeon that burns through RP:
- 9 Dailies from starhenge NPCS
- 3 PVE Arena runs
- 2 Daily dungeons
- 5 Dominion Training Ground runs
Starhenge Bosses
Spoiler!If you've already reached level 65, you are most likely struggling finishing some bosses in starhenge. ill be going over the attacks and different things you should do against each one of the 4 possible stages including the final boss in them to the best of my ability.
Memory of War (MoW)
A pretty self explanatory playthrough until you reach the boss. just kill everything you stumble upon.
- The first map is easy, 2 mini bosses and some mobs.
- The second map contains Galt, a miniboss that has 2 phases.
The first phase is relatively easy, just dodge left/right if you see a red laser beam coming from him as he will rush and deal quite a bit of damage.
The second phase, that occurs when you kill the first phase has alot more attacks, and he's invulnerable at first so dont give all youve got immediately. wait for him to explode in a yellow explosion that deals no damage, after which he will take damage like normal.
The main attack you would like to avoid is when he jumps into the air and drops explosions in circles around him. at first he will drop bombs close to where his body is, then pretty much immediately a bigger circle, with the danger lines marked in red overlapping the smaller circle, until he reaches the boundries of the map. i recommend you run forward towards him after you see the attack has begun.
The second attack you want to worry about is not to be too close to him. he might initiate an attack which is very fast so looking at the ground for red marks will be too slow to dodge. he will basically turn into a laser shooting upwards and anyone in his close proximity will take alot of damage.
- The third stage will first contain some random robot mobs that can be easily killed. after that there will be 4 stages of those same mobs, with 1 which has alot more hp and another suicidal, much bigger robot. this robot cannot be killed, and you have to let him get close to you if he's after you if you want to get him dead.
once he's close to you he will have a countdown, after which he will explode damaging everyone in the parameter of the red circle marker on the floor.
- The boss:
ill be only going over his main attacks that you should worry about, the rest you can just wait for him to attack and see, as those are ordinary attacks.
If you see the boss charge a purple ball in his left hand, you need to jump, and fast.
If you attack the boss for abit, as the attack itself wont happen when the boss is full, you will notice 2 special attacks:
1) The boss will make purple circles on his left-right plane appear and he will freeze in place invulnerable. at this stage you want to run behind him as fast as you can because if you dont, purple swords will come out of these purple circles fast and you are pretty much guaranteed to die.
2) The boss will say something about honor, and will then freeze after summoning lots of platforms in different heights on the map. you need to parkour your way up in 5 seconds, and reach the green platforms. failing to do so, will cause you to die. just get on a green platform, and stay there till they all disappear and then you can start attacking him again.
Memory of Annihilation (MoA)
Also known as the Abelard fight, its the second dungeon on the list.
- First stage: Pretty straight forward, kill the mobs. once youve done that, a boss will spawn, aswell as 2 blue circles in each side of the map. the boss shoots out first an attack that will follow you pretty quickly and wherever it lands near you, will form a giant circle of fire. you want to get out of there as soon as possible as it burns you. she will then move on to doing some other flame attacks that burn you. your best friends are the 2 blue circles. whenever you are taking damage from fire, just step in them. not only do they remove the fire effect, but they also heal you.
- Second stage: this is a mini-boss stage. the boss here is quite hard, once he starts getting hits on you, so try to kill it as soon as you can. his first attack will always be 3 blades rushing towards you, and then start following you, but still going forwards so they cant come back once you pass them. he will then do a very strong pull skill that pulls everyone towards you, so use whatever you can to stay away from him. once he pulled everyone in, he will 'explode' in a yellow laser beam shooting to the sky for a few seconds, dealing massive damage.
he also has an attack that summons 3 static swords, if you havent killed him by then, do everything to kill all 3 of these swords or else they summon very hard-to-dodge attacks that deal massive amounts of damage, even in easy mode.
- Third stage: just like first stage, you kill some mobs and face a mini-boss. theres nothing special going on about this boss, he has normal attacks that you can easily dodge with some common sense.
- The dead end stage is pretty easy, nothing special about the boss there. stay on the move cause he has lots of following skills.
- Boss stage:
This is where youll be fighting Abelard. if you noticed, when he spawns he will have a purple sphere protecting him, negating pretty much 99% of damage.
its really ineffective to hit him at that point. he will first summon red balls that follow you and deal explosive damage when they get to you, but they can also be killed, just like any other kind of ball the boss will summon.
you want to wait until he summons blue circles. these blue circles are ones that explode when they get to you too, however, if the boss is in the proximity of the explosion, his shield will go down.
this is where you want to release everything youve got to kill him, as his shield comes back pretty quickly.
I dont have much else to say, his attacks are pretty darn dangerous and crazy, but stay on the move and youll likely wont be hit by anything. stay as far as you can from a lightning that he can summon that follows you, because if it reaches you, it deals massive damage until it goes away. the attack happens when he flies up in the air and a red circle appears on where you used to be.
If you see a charging line over his head, you want to get away from him.
Belladona Manor
This is a faster, simpler danger zone, consisting of 3 maps in total including the boss room, all 3 of which are simple boss fights.
- The first boss: has 2 adds when she spawns, can summon more as time goes by if you dont kill her fast enough. at the start of the battle, you have 3-4 seconds to either stun her or do whatever you can to prevent her from moving, or else she will teleport to the center of the map and do some attacks. at any point she is vulnerable to damage, so just keep bursting at her with the hope that you dont die from her attacks as they are quite hard to dodge.
- The second boss: has a bear helping her. killing the bear isnt your main goal, because after you kill her the bear disappears too. she has pretty standard attacks, except for when she starts floating in the air, thats when you want to be under her and follow her into the circle that will spawn in the center, anywhere else will get you killed as the center circle makes you invulnerable for a few seconds. this includes damage from the bear.
- The last boss: Spawns after her broom does a spin, goes into a portal and comes back with her with another spin, she will start attacking you like normal bosses would unless you stun her. when her health lines are between 50 and 70, she has 2 attacks she WILL do if you dont drop her below that line fast enough, both of which are when she runs to the center and becomes invulnerable.
1) after she got to the center, she will mumble something like 'five, ten ten' or something of the sorts (cant quite understand it), and after that a countdown starting from 3 will appear over your head. you ahve 3 seconds to get to a 'pool' colored orange in each corner of the map. there would be a pool in each corner, if no1 else has taken any (you can take it at any time and it WILL disappear), and if there are 4 people in the team. if there are 3 - 3 pools, 2 - 2 pools, and 1 will also have 2 pools. this is because of her second attack.
VERY IMPORTANT: you shouldnt attack her after the 3 2 1 cooldown while she's dancing with hearts around her else she takes all damage you do as healing. you need to stop hitting her until the hearts go away or she stops making these uhm......'intimate' sounds
2) if she does this attack first, she will follow it through with the first attack. this attack is one where she will go to the center and a hurricane will start around her, with quite a weak pulling force but it also makes you slower and poisoned. if you dont take a pool after the hurricane attack has been completed, you will take massive damage from poison that can only be undone if you go into a pool. this kills you in like 4 seconds. after that she will be vulnerable for 2-3 seconds, and do her first attack that ive written about above.
Once she's below 20 lines of health, if she can, she will then again, do the second attack, always first. followed by the first attack. she will do it once, and during the 2-3 second gap you want to kill her incase youve run out of pools to go into.
Note: if you have skills that temporarily make you invincible, these are an option to use too when theres a countdown over your head, as its not an insta-death, but more of insane damage that cannot be survived through unless you become invincible. this is, in practice, what the pools do. they make you invincible for 5 seconds upon taking.
The rest of her attacks are pretty standard, just use common sense.
Perumagion Pathway
this is probably the easiest of all 4 of them, pretty standard kill the mobs and progress to the last stage. i will however give information about the second stage and the boss.
- The second stage: a monkey-like boss will be summoned. his attacks are pretty standard, he has adds surrounding him. if he does however manage to get a few attacks in, you might notice warning red circles stacking ontop of eachother. this is when you want to hurry the **** up to the boss and jump on top of him, as he turns into stone basically, and you want to get above all these red circles. if you dont- insta death.
- The last boss is a giant stone, this makes him very slow and his attacks are close range and easy to dodge. his first attack however, is when he will jump at you.
After you deal some damage, the game may write "Gathering power" at the top of your screen. you want to burst damage as much as you can at this stage, however if you don't manage to kill him before he finishes gathering power, you better have all the rest of the monsters that do the lightning attacks at you as youre trying to fight it dead, because the number of 1 hit attacks he will do is according to the number of these monsters alive+1 attack. if you kill all of them however, he will still do 1 1-hit kill attack, so youll need to use an iframe (invincibility attack) to dodge it.
to be the safest about it, just kill all of them before even starting to engage at the boss.
