You can only relate and notice how a certain change affects you I would drastically notice the different as I am a dstyler and I use the technique D-Machine a lot, as does hellsguards. Whom is the best dstyler, yet his style conflicts with things here as well. However, it is not about just helping the people that complain about things. I see that the lower delay conflicts with melee, with moving in, but it also aids people that like to shoot more at further distances, there are a lot of pros and cons about lower delay. I just aim to remove the cons and keep the pros. So I suggested multiple different variations of shotguns that have distinguished variations.
EDIT: So basically, just having 1000 delay sure adds more variety in gameplay, but it forces people to play a certain way and forces them to change in a certain way they might not like, which I would not want to happen, as helping some people for others is not a good trade off. If there was a shotgun that had a lot larger of a clip, the players that do not like to resort to sword hero wouldn't feel like they have to in some instances, as they would not have to reload too early compared to their opponent if they were using 1k delay shotguns. People that like a little bit of melee, or don't mind it, can choose to use 1k delay (slightly more damage) and people that just love melee, like gladiators that want to gun as well, can use weapons like avengers. It's all about catering to many other types of playstyles without hindering any other at the same time.
EDIT 2, May 17th, 6 : 53 GMT-5: So yea, going from 850 delay to 1000 makes a big difference. RS = two quick shots. So 2 RS = 4 quick shots. Shoot reload - shoot reload - then - shoot reload - shoot reload. Delay 850 on gun 1. You shoot, delay activates - now u cannot shoot again with gun 1 for a certain time period. The recoil animation stopping you from switching weapons without canceling it with reload is not the delay on the gun shot, and switching weapons then switching back to gun 1 still does not allow you to shoot right away with gun 1, the delay still persists no matter if you item switched or not. So, you continue RS, switching to gun 2 for and shooting with it for a second shot. Now what? You can switch back to gun 1 and attempt shooting with it, and the lower the delay is, the earlier you can start another RS, starting with gun 1, as you have just ended a previous RS using gun 2, you have to use gun 1 to start another. So if delays are too low, you can RS earlier after previously doing one. with 1000 delay, the time period of not being able to RS after previously doing one matches the time it takes to dash. So, this makes choosing movement after just RSing over RSing again, a valid option. This means doing a slash shot after previously RSing instead of doing another RS does not cut your damage down since you could not RS soon enough anyway, and the time it takes to slash shot matches gun delay at around 1000. This itself, is the extreme difference. Because if you are more free to do movements and other things other than just shooting more often, and it is just as valid, since you cannot RS right away anyway, then yes, more freedom, yes there is a big difference. So, that is the answer to your question, Stephan.
