Type 1: The render is looking from a downward perspective so you can focus on the background moving up.
Type 2: Chief is slightly turning so you can use that to guide your flow as well
Next time look closely at the render.
2nd Tip: Use a layer mode for your text and make use of the blending options on your text. (Maybe overlay with a 1px black stroke)
Also I suggest you work on text placement and get some better fonts

Just use some smudge settings, put em on lighten and put some displacements on linair dodge. after that you'd use some photofilters and gradientmaps, if thats not working, use some underpainting, that'll give a final touch.
