[Debate] Report section

Freestylers,

In my opinion the report section is kind of being abused. There have already been several threads made about it as well.

I think that having the ability to reporting someone isn't a bad thing, though some of us are abusing that. To many people whine and moan a little bit to fast, 9 out of 10 times the report gets handled like its supposed to but sometimes, in my opinion, people get warned for literally nothing.

What also happens with reporting is that the community gets worse and worse, people get reported and start to reporting those who report them. People start provoking and luring people to flame etc.

My suggestion is that reporting to much for nothing should be punishable, this will lower the amount of useless threads and improve the community. So basically if people report to much for no reason they should get a warning, not an in-game warning or a forum warning, simply a PM with some reasonable words explaining that the person should take things less seriously.

Agreed, I've also noticed that the community is getting worse. As example : @ Chatbox you see a lot of people talking about LoL, or threads about it. It looks like it is a LoL Forum and not a Gunz one. (Nothing against LoL though) Also, ingame you see a lot of people egoing/flaming eachother. And to be honest I don't even see GM's in game, NONE at all in the past few days. Maybe it's me, but ohwell something should change here in our community. It's not really fun anymore to play, IMO.

What I suggest is :
- New gms
- Something about the LoL talking/thread.
- Player chats like the past ( Right under in the corner ) If you know what I mean. There they can talk about LoL or something.

I strongly agree with Yuul. As far as New GM's go, Evils_Master still goes ingame, He was ingame yesterday + he did an event, I see Kirai ingame sometimes, and Rash was on yesterday too. But new GM's would be a good idea since Hit and Stunned are no longer GM's.

Alot of people have been talking about LoL atm since it's getting popular, and I think something should be done about that, mabye a new section idk.

Also those player private chats in the bottom right corner were really good, and I think they should be brought back also.

Also the total members being online went down a lot past weeks/months. I remember when there were around 100+ members, now the average total of members is around 60~80.
Not only in game, on forums aswell. If you have noticed.

Different subject over there.
We just need some changes in our community to be still alive.

just make a system where players can create tickets about things such as offenses, hacking, etc

If they abuse it
they get warned

simple

Exactly. The reporting issue is out of hand.
It used to be about people hacking or glitching that gives them an advantage which is unfair of course.
Nowadays, it's about for example:" He called me a ****head. I'M GOING TO REPORT YOU." Some people need to learn that there are disrespectful people in the world and you're going to have to deal with them.

For those liars out there who were like "I'm going to start playing with V7." There are the same amount of people from the last client to now.

But some people don't even give a flying duck, if someone harrasses him/her. They just want the other getting warned/infracted/banned.
Example : an anonymous person that calls me a **** and such. And I don't give a flying duck about what he said. Yet I still report him/her and fake that I do give a duck.
These kind of reports are lame as duck.

Let the community know if its already punishable.

For example, if there is a forum / ingame report simply answer with a response: "You have been warned for useless report" or something.

How come that this thread is blindly ignored by the staff? How come the league threads are more important to mods ?

Is it really a bigger concern to punish those who talk about a different game you don't like then reading this and replying? At least giving your opinion or actually doing something with it? I guess.

We already do warn/infract for useless threads, but it's up to the Game Master's to report in-game useless reports to me so I can take care of them accordingly, otherwise I'll let the In-Game reports be, and just take care of the Forum.

Imo, this is the most active GM and yet he doesn't knows about it.

Why did they denied you for being a Forum moderator?

I've had 24 infractions. most of them happened few years ago.

We do. At the very least for Forum reports. I've relaxed a bit because it's not a huge deal, but obviously stupid reports get users infracted. Like I said. It's up to the GM's to report the stupid Hacker reports to me, otherwise they aren't even viewed by me.

Well, i've seen a lot of useless reports such as provoking the other one. Yet the person self that provokes, doesn't get warned. Or what I have said in my previous replies, people can just fake that they're hurt/offended and just want the other person getting warned/infracted/banned.

My point is that the GM's should warn the players, you are a forum mod and it concerns in game material, not forum material.

The moderators are not the blame, we get hired to deal with these issues of those who go against the rules.

Well, it's not really something they could or should essentially be banned for lol. I mean they are making stupid reports on the Forums, not In-Game, otherwise I'd agree :P.
