block ip sniffing through anti hack if possible ~_~

so basically what the title says, we have 2 (might be a third, havent confirmed it) retards right now sniffing ip's like no tomorrow of me, and 4 of my friends, every time we go to cw/tdm/duel they call out where we live and sometimes whisper us with our igns, can anything be done about it?

use /forcenat easy solution.

Nothing can be done about it aside from you using a VPN and us issuing warnings and bans. GunZ is based on P2P (peer to peer, machine to machine, your PC to his PC, direct connection) which means that in a game, it's relatively easy to figure out which IP belongs to who, especially if there are only 2-3 total players in-game. Having NAT makes it much harder because your traffic is routed through the FGunZ server and you wont have a direct connection with the players anymore.

Even if they don't say it out loud, they can still figure it out and just not tell you.

That's not possible because you don't even have to use third party tools to inspect network traffic. You can do this in Windows itself or even on your router.

just disable ability to alt+tab during gunz but that would suck and ruin alot of stuff like changing music etc

only realistic solution but no1 wants that so you just have to get over it and get a vpn

And, if not living close to the location of the servers, makes your ping higher to players who live near you.

There's really nothing else you can do though, it's the nature of the internet. P2P = faster, NAT = slower

there are a few programs that can sniff, can you block them like how you blocked xspeed?

There's no point because it's extremely easy to do in Windows itself, doesn't require third party applications.

are vpn's bannable now and need to be whitelisted or are they fine to use?

You can use a VPN without permission now, they aren't blacklisted anymore.
