As far as I know these rules never changed, and after a search I found little about conducting yourself on the forums.
Everyone, Including me, have been in violation of the rules and as of late the enforcement of said rules seem rather lax.

There are sections for spam, off-topic and the like. However threads with people asking legitimate questions and asking for help do not need to be trolled or spammed with off topic nonsense. These posts should be kept to the spam sections.

Those sections are there for that reason. To keep things in line. However the line has been fudged and most people violating the rules seem to be let go.

Can we go back to the old days where I can actually read posts in a topic in order to understand whats going on, without having to go and skip literally PAGES of spam about pictures of trolls or the like?

I'm pushing for some reform and more enforcement of rules on the forums.

Please keep the topic serious. I will request that Mods keep this thread clear of spam so we can have a legitimate discussion about this. It needs to be addressed.


If you look in that thread I was arguing against such strict ruling, I am still against that. But we still need SOME rules, and all of them seem to have go to the wayside.

I still have the right to bring up what I want to bring up and look for change in what I want. Even against large opposition.

I agree that trolls should be dealt with if there are any. (Personally don't know any as I'm not as active as I was)
I do not agree with Bunny's crack down on wordplay though :( tatz all

I think its almost impossible to start that since a big part of the community behaves inappropriate...
The offensive posts deserve to get removed, and a warning given to the poster if it was offensive enough. I think that'll be a good start though I seriously doubt it because, even 2 years ago, it was so hard to get banned (taking myself as an example right now), and now its even harder.

It may be hard for the community to accept but if the mods and admins believe that the forums are getting out of control they have the power to fix it.

I know Jaka has it in him to enforce the rules as he once did, Not sure of the other mods outlook.

Anyways, if I've told you once, I've told ya a million times bro. That decision is up to McSic. If you want to make some headway message him. Like I said, if he wants me to crack down again, this'll no longer be a problem.

Trying to get a feel of how the community wants, Hense the poll. If its largely disliked then I dont want to push something that most people will hate. But as such a delicate juncture (V7) I believe we should address it as how we set these rules will be very important for our future.

Agreed. It's going to take a lot of work, but if the community feels the need for me to end all of these problems, Jakanadin has done it before and he'll do it again. Freestyler's World is my baby, and I won't let anyone harm it :).

If they could get away with spamming with no consequence but deletion, they'll do it constantly just to piss me off. That's an option I'm not voting for.

Well honestly that's people's own stupidity. The rules are meant to be followed; not broken. We don't let in-game spammers go. We don't let harrassers in-game go. But we do on the Forums because we've gotten lax to be nice. Now it's getting out of hand since one of the most lax guys around had to bring it up. Not everyone was banned two years ago. In fact we had MORE members two years ago in-game then we do now. Hmm, probably just a coincidence.

I don't know.. I'm off topic at times but I really don't give a shit about my post count.

Post counts really don't have any value and even if it was just 1 post that was off topic it wouldn't really bother anyone would it?

I would say double / triple post should be receiving a punishment, unless you started that certain thread.
For useless threads -> useless section should be removed then.

Please do, I'm kinda sick of the trolls and such.
I remember days when there weren't hardcore trolls like now, when people could just play in their own way without getting trolled by other people.
& In almost every thread you see people going off topic or say something useless that has nothing to do with the thread self.
Why else do you think that the player amount went from 120 to around 50 people within 1~2week(s). (I know some are waiting until V7 is out, but you get my point.)

A lot of useless posts/threads should get deleted if they're not in the 'useless threads' section.

Also I said I would come back at beginning of summer last year to clean it up and enforce the old rules, but it didn't happen. Understandable in some ways of how I got in a fight with McSic, but other than that I wasn't going to **** around, but been serious.

^^^ Hehehe ;). But me and McSic resolved things, so it's all good. Depending on the outcome of this thread, the staff as a whole will make a final decision on laxness and strictness.

Thats a misconception. We had it once and the server most of the time had 180+ members online playing at once.

Even if We did lose some people because of a little forum ruling they should know to relax and keep the spam and off topic chat to the appropriate sections.

Or to the Chatbox, I mean, that WAS what it was made for after all..

I dunno, I don't think there is a point in trying this, just look around lol, its not just freestylersworld what changed, you see this in almost every online community. And its very simple, people just don't respect eachother anymore, and my saying is that the newer generation simply brought that with themselves, not saying older generations aren't joining it.
Anyways, I think its mission impossible, not that you'll have to ban everyone, but just you can't be that strict.

We'll see how things pan out. I'm very stubborn lol. If it takes banning half of the community to bring in a better friendlier community, so be it. It's not hard to just stop acting out when we give everyone so many alternatives and chances and ways to let your trolling out.

This really needs to go back to how it was before. Why did it stop to even begin with? Who is to blame for that?

Its not a personnel problem as far as I know.

It seems to be more of a no speaks out about it from my opinion, people have grown to live with it and accept it but i dont think it should be as it is.

You guys seem to forget the origin of all rage/ego is from in-game. The forum is just where it dwells for everyone to see.
You can work your ass off and infract/delete everyone, but in essence it will never stop because it will continue in game.
