Our almighty leader Dave decided to get rid of the vials and pills completely, disabling the entire strategic part of the gameplay when it comes to meds. I completely disagree with the decision to remove them and honestly I wish there was a voting process (staff wise) of their opinions, today I gathered a few players and asked them their opinion of the idea of them being completely removed, here are some of the answers. Note that they are cropped because I whispered like a shit ton of people so I only cropped out the answers I got from the ones who replied.

Now, my concern is what the players think of the removal of all pills and vials - I mean you might be completely for removing them, but if you are, I want you to vote WHY. The only argument/concern I have heard so far is that the ability to run/dash/walk and med at the same time results in meds being OP. Did you know that the highest level of a pill (Recovery Pill V3) only adds 9+ HP per one use, meanwhile the In-Game Shop medkit (Medical Kit RX III) adds 20+ HP for one use? So, I saw no reason for the HP increase amount to be "OP", again, the only argument that was brought up was the ability to move/shoot and med at the same time.

Now, I do know that some players also mention "oh it brings back the oldgen/oldschool feeling", but the meds were there at the same time as the vials/pills were, why not use them if they wanted that type of feeling? Both meds were available to use, yet everyone seemed to only use vials/pills, and if not everyone, then majority.

If you feel like vials/pills should be removed, explain why or vote on the poll system available - same goes for if you want them to remain they way they are. If you have anymore poll ideas, please tell me and I will add them.

Any troll posts/comments will be reported or removed, this is a serious discussion and I wish to keep it as clean and organized as possible.

Options:

~ Remove all pills & vials - keep medkits.
~ Keep all pills & vials - remove medkits.
~ Keep everything (return to the way it was) - keep vials/pills/medkits
~ Nerf vials/pills (add a delay *NOT 2500*, add weight to them, etc)
~ Nerf medkits (add a delay, add weight to them, etc)

Keep pills and vials like we had before the patch

We didn't have vials/pills before V7 and it was totally fine, not a problem at all. I don't see why it's a problem now.
Something to keep in mind is that we're definitely not returning them to how they were.

Problem right here: Gets rid of Uber Meds. Gets rid of Vials and Recovery Pils. Now time to get rid of the Donor Meds and replace them with the old Meds. Problem solved.

It's a problem because people got used to them. Personally, I don't really care, can play with either.
Remove acceleration vials tho, at least the donor ones, it's basically a legit speed hack. Accel vials just got even stronger since you have to pretty much stand still to heal now...

now i gotta buy donor meds to keep up with the upcoming campy meta

Saying that without pills and vials, donation meds are going to be OP is ridiculous in my opnion. I don't believe pills and vials should be available, even if their stats are nurfed.

Remove all together.

GunZ never had vials/pills to begin with, medding was a tactical skill alone. (Where/When/Who)

Donation medical kits of course are going to be better then store bought medical kits, just like donation shotguns are better than store bought shotguns.

Donation HP/AP medical kits have always been the same, but why did player use vials/pills over them? Simply because there ability to be used mid battle for 'easy' medding out weighed the healing differences.

Think back to IJJI there was store bought medical kits and then there was premium medical kits which could be bought with G-Coins, same applies here, want that slight advantage or to be able to compete with others?? Buy the premium medical kits then, pretty sure that why players bought donation shotguns, for the advantage or being able to compete with those who had them.

the game isnt fun with the pills and vials, just about 2 years ago you guys had normal donation meds and no one complained, just get used to whatever is given to you, just purchase the normal meds from the game's shop

my opinion would be taking off ALL sort of pills and vials regarding repair, recovery, and acceleration
the game seems to be more balanced right now than it was before

using meds properly takes skill. using pills and vials doesn't require skills at all.

yeah, 2 years ago. people got used to the new methods and changed their playstyle accordingly and you guys just reverted to the old method. i dont really care to be honest but i can see why some people are pissed off lol

People are pissed off because they can't use OP vials/pills anymore.
Even if we were to re-introduce them, they would be so badly nerfed that it's useless to use them.

Then just add them and nerf them to nothing and say: "You wanted it back." and just ban them if they complain.

Another reason for vials/pills, people can't steal your meds nor share. That was a nice new option.

There is no option for "add them with a bigger delay".. do not see why we should give them weight, delay is all we should add.

I say keep both, nerf the vial&pill let's say -6hp/ap (it used to give 36hp/ap per vial) and the pill let's say -2/-4hpap (used to give 15hp/ap per pill)
this way people could play with different styles, make it more interesting and not just one style for all the players.

If you guys really want the old school med, then just remove the kits in donation shop because the kits in the ingame shop are useless and donor meds will just be too op for those who cannot afford donor meds.Or just move the donor meds to ingame shop & make it free

Bring forth a proper argument to show how they are OP.
Just saying "they are OP" proves nothing, the only argument that (and I will say this again) has been brought forth is the ability to med and run/walk at the same time.

Only reason pills became the meta was because they gave a lot more hp/ap than they were initially meant to.

Players pretty much had two lives. With medkits, people have to strategically play the game , ex: to run or to med on the spot.

A lot more thinking is required when it comes to medkits and we all know gunz players love challenges.

I dont know people who actually play gunz on a competitive level can really say keep vial and pills only unless they cant afford pmeds but other then that still it completely ruins the game just like the gamemods do along with sniper...

I think this is mostly a money thing.

Before, there was an even tier when it came to meds. Now, some people will have donor meds while others are forced to use bounty meds. That is OP, but again, I think that is how FGunZ prefers it -- always have a better option that players will have to pay for.
Pay to win server becomes even more pay to win.

I agree the pills/vials were OP but they have been in use since Ijji and that's what 90% of the players are used to now. I can see a little nerf to them like lowering the hp/ap given, but thats about it. This honestly seems like it's more about you guys wanting people to buy the medkits from donor shop than it is balance. (OH WAIT IDEA!!! put the old pills/vials in donor shop).

everyone got used to pills and vials for years now and if they restore the pills and vials with bigger delay would be useless and might as well remove it.

but then it wouldnt make it right though dave 4 clips at level 60 and 5-6 clips donor meds. looks like forcing players like us to pay to get them,

i suggest you to make 5 clips of p meds for donors and make a 6-7 clips as donors idk? but 4 clips *80 hp and ap* sounds somewhat lower than the pills and ap

Honestly it should have been as simple as anything that can immediately heal you under a click should have a total less healing power than something you would deploy and use.

If you don't give anything a drawback of course people will succumb to using THAT item because why would you take the item that has a downside over the one that doesn't?. Making sure each instance has a drawback is what balance is supposed to be. Pills healed just 30 under donor meds (90 vs 120) and vials healed 150% (180 vs 120) with overall healing numbers. In addition being mobile and healing was just another advantage-- which defeats the point of using deployable meds; no less the ones you'd buy from the donation shop.

I suggested a few ways before (and it's possible as I've seen an ever-so-popular pserver do this) that you can keep pills the way they are (maybe even drop a click size, whatever) and drop vials a clip size and make it only heal 5/sec-- Having a grand total of 90/100(Presuming you'd use the Pills and Vials combo) .

Compared to donor meds that are 120/120, that's only a total 50 difference for something that has mobility vs. something that does not. That's what balance should be about rather than completely scrapping a relatively good addition to a fast-paced game.

Why would you want to make the game easier for anyone...? You talk about wanting to use strategy, yet I don't see the idea of how making a game easier (your own words) still represents strategy?
Not all rooms have the [R] tags and honestly [IA] has nothing to do with the Pill/Vial discussion, people will kill you regardless if the room has [IA] or not...
[R] causes more spam, do you want to be in a situation where you're spammed down and don't have time to go and med..?

People can still walk and med btw.. ; toss 1 - med, toss 1 - med, etc etc.

It's not a money thing at all, this was absolutely not done with that in mind.

You can run while returning back to nearly full health within seconds with the vials/pills. Meds require more skill and make the game more fun, the only reason why people are butthurt is because they don't have access to items anymore which were better than (donation) meds. Like I said before, wasn't a problem before V7, shouldn't be a problem now.

And I'll say it again, we will not revert it back to how it was.
Changes can be made by making a higher delay and make them heal less, but they will not be made better than normal meds.

If you wanted to change their delay or make them heal less, could you provide an example of what you would have in mind?
Right now the delay is 2500, and that is the shittiest delay ever and honestly I would rather it be like 1500 or a little higher, nothing above 2000....

Serious : nerf snipers then. snipers will be op now without pills and vials. after getting 1shot by sniper, we now have to run, hide, and med, compared to medding on the spot. While we were running to med, we could have gotten shot agn and die. ty.

sarcasm : nerf all the guns dmg and increase players hp ap, increase armour hp and ap to make the game more challenging then ^.^ then we can have more playstyles more strategies more challenging gameplay and much much more fun :)

Not a good decision. Could have just buffed donor med kits and that would solve the problem.
- pills healed less but immediate
-vials healed more but you couldn't heal hp and as at the same time like pills or med kits could.
-med kits were a balance of both.
As usual, I've always advocated giving more options and balancing, than totally not giving players a choice. (E.g snipers, no matter how much I dislike them)
Removing them is gonna make players leave the already dying game.

That's another reason as to why medical kits > vials/pills.

Strategical thinking is more needed since you'll have to pick & choose the appropriate times and locations when to med. Not to mention it's now means more teamwork can be incorporated into team games, helping your fellow members by giving up you meds to heal them, instead of both players rushing in pre vials medded and opening fire on opponents

gunz is not about being able to tank the shit out of every bullet and stay alive for 5 minutes even though you are bad at the game. gunz is about using your brain while playing to stay alive while hitting shots and move correctly. gunz shouldn't be an easy game but pills makes the game a lot easier. removing pills is one of the best "additions" to the game in a long time

People only say they're better because there so used to being able to med pre fight and near instantly, medding was once skill alone.

Because vials/pills pratically made medical kits useless, everyone used them because they were so much easier to use and pratically OP in the terms of how fast you could regenerate health and when you could regenerate that health.

I feel like vials should stay in the game for PvE (quest) purposes, since there's no room to just stand still and med in challenge quests. Even though you could move and drop a med and get it later, someone else on your team might accidently step on it and get HP/AP he/she might not even need. So I vote for keeping vials and adding double the time between the heals as to make them rather unusable for close combat encounters in PvP. Since pills are harder to nerf (less options on how to nerf and if nerfed rather useless) those should be removed completely.

Keep all, or just nerf the donor med kit
It won't be fair to non donors

There is a simple fix for this.
Just ban Vials / Pills from clanwar, Because the people who are crying mostly are the people that are none competitive.
So they can have there vials / pills outside cw and the competitive side of GunZ can play with there pmeds and clanwar might become more competitive and challenging.

This way both sides are happy.

Personally, I think that medkits would add more challenges to cw, which is a good thing. Some people aren't 'as skilled' to successfully med on the right occasions, causing them to become more vulnerable rather than just spamming vials. You literally walk by an enemy and all you have to do is spam meds and survive. That's my standpoint of it.

....However, what's the point of nerfing it for people who don't play competitively? Nerfing the vials is basically forcing players to use medkits when they don't even want to. It's unfair to them and I personally think that removing the vials was a decision made by a small group of people rather than hearing the community's input on it.

Decisions need to be made to satisfy a community, not simply because 'he doesn't like it' or 'some people don't like it'. What about everyone else?

Med-kits definitely raise the skill cap and make healing a bit more strategic, you shouldn't be able to heal at any time. **** pills/vials

Well before V7 we had candy meds thats something different from med kits

If u remove the pills and vials u should remove the speed vials too.
It's pretty obvious that if u remove them speed vials become godlike.

Definitely changes the dynamics. People that used to be able to survive an encounter merely by medding, running away and shooting back all at the same time drop like a sack of potatoes now. Seems more fun now to me at least. I was surprised when I first started how overpowered the vials were. I rather they not come back but if they do then the amount they heal should be massively lowered and their weight raised Imo.

Since there's those annoying people who vote yes for this, might as well just add them back and nerf them. Because regardless the pills/vials are overpowered.

For probably the 9th time, please enlighten me how they are OP.

Would have been all for this if there was a way to make those work in custom made maps.

I'm having fun at some people talking about returning pmeds make it balanced again...please, every single player past lvl 50 (which is not hard to reach) had the ability to buy pills/vials, now only like 40% of the player base has the donation meds, which makes them somewhat overpowered over the others. How is that less unbalanced?
Also, on to the second note, if you really want to feel the old school style of gunz, then remove snipers, and barely add any customization options to non-donor players, because that's what ijji did and that's the biggest reason they are closed now.
All in all, servers need some freshment, the pills/vials were a really unique example of that, it added a new level to the gameplay, and made it much faster paced and less campy. To those saying that this has been like this since "only" V7...just telling you, that V7 has been out here for years, yes, literally years. I know that for a fact, because I've been here since 2009, seen a whole bunch of changes on this server, both client and community based, and as I can tell, this recent change has done no good for the majority of the server. Maybe delete vials and pills only in the competitive (CW) part of the game, so that the rest, more casual (e.g. non-donor) part who got used to having almost the same chances as the donor players?

Oh well lemme give a serious evaluation to this removal.
Firstly, vials and pills arent rly considered to be op since everyone has access to it. Its like saying the hp and ap armour gives is op. Well now, with the removal of pills and vials, whats the next best meds? Yes donor meds.
How is making donor meds the best meds making the game more competitive? This removal only benefits donaters. So ONLY those that donate will have access to this current OP med. Making donaters even more op, harder to die. Therefore, donaters will thus have much more advantage in this game making the game LESS COMPETITIVE. Therefore this DEFEATS THE PURPOSE of the removal. At least for shotguns, the lv 9x bounty guns have the same dmg as donor sg.
If this removal is to really make GunZ more competitive as you have claimed repeatedly, then allow everyone to have access to the donor med. Make a lv 90 med with the same stats as donor med. Or at least give 1yr donor meds to everyone (not just 30days. Its useless). If the game is still alive after 1year, people can decide whether to donate to get them or not. Otherwise this removal just seems like an underhanded way to extort more money out of this dying game.

You're arguing that donation medical kits are better than store bought medical kits. NO ****ING SHIT. Same applies with donation shotguns over store bought shotguns, of course they will have an advantage, they need an advantage so people pay for them. IJJI was the same there was 'premium medical kits' that cost G-Coins.

Anyone arguing that they are a non-donor and it's unfair has an irrelevant argument point, since this could be used with any donation item, shotguns/rifles/snipers/swords etc so if that were the case then donation items should be removed all together, but then guess what the server will soon be closed, as the donations pay for the server to be online.

Firstly, no im not arguing that donor meds is btr than bounty meds. Im arguing abt the accessibility to the donor meds. As i mentioned earlier, lv90 shotgun have the same dmg as donor shotgun. So make lv 90 med same stats as donor med then. Furthermore, this removal is to benefit the whole community not just donaters as dave claimed ROFL. Pls read. First of all, thats a huge exaggeration, nobody can heal to full in 2 seconds.
Second of all, you act like people can't shoot you when you're walking/healing at the same time? Um, hello? Yes they can, you can be healing and walking closer to them and you can still shoot them, most players have to back the f*ck up to med now because they don't want to med in an open place anymore.

I really can't think of a way to actually balance the vials/pills. You reduce it they're useless, you keep it the same they remain op. I remember when I first joined this server and everyone was playing with these vials and pills and I'm like "THE **** ARE THOSE". Then someone gave me my explanation and even then I thought the things were a bit ridiculous coming from a five year break. Coming back to a game where the play style went to literally anticipating a person's moves and knowing where to run, when to shoot, when to reload, and when to med yourself/teammates turned into "Lemme just pop this ap vial tank a few shots, pop a few pills and another vial I'm ready to spam reload shot with [R] in a normal game mode. I'm glad they got removed, they were annoying af.

First step is admitting you have a problem ya'll, stop doping up on vials and pills and use actual med kits to help your recovery process.

The current donor meds do seem a bit op to me though, reduce the clip to 5 or something idk i'm just a adele

If you're bringing back the pills/vials to there normal state also buff the p meds cause all the people that have bought p meds have no use for them since pills/vials are easily better..

Buff the donation Meds please. Food meds heal 60hp/60ap per 1 set which means if you have 2 set of those, they heal the same as Med/Repair kit 5 does.
And donation med/repaire 4 which costs 100 coin heal less than those food meds.

jk the food meds are heavier in weight then medkits are so they are probably balanced.

People from Freestyle Gunz are used to the pills/vials but what you said about it only gives 9hp per pill its still OP because you can spam that shit and putting a delay on the vials/pill would make it even worse than a medkit so in my opinion i think it better to have meds but maybe make a medkit with 15hp instead of 20

Keep it all, you don't improve a game by removing features people liked. It's my personal opinion that gunning was ruined after pmeds were introduced into ijji giving people essentially 2 lives but that's all ancient history now so little to nothing phases me. Saying medkits require more skill is subjective and false, all people need to do is retreat and hide or position them for an escape run.

It looks like FG had no ideas for vials or pills so you just gave up and removed them. I don't see it being hard to solve, there's numerous ways to approach it, here's a few more off the top of my head.

Vials1 - Decrease regen rate, or lower regen power.
Vials2 - Make vials only available to regen HP. It's kind of stupid for vials to be able to magic-fix armor.
Vials3 - Have it be a 1-shot use, very slow regen so it's risky but can heal a lot.
Vials4 - Very low regen, but high clip. Suppose this is like pills, except not instant healing.
Vials5 - Make it so you have to hold down the button to continuously use the vials, making you open to attack while you are using it.
Vials6 - Increase delay so it can't be spammed.

Pills - increase delay or reduce clip.
Pills2 - Slow big medkit to heal larger amounts in 1 use, but takes much longer to pull out and cant be spammed.

Something to keep in mind is that we're definitely not returning them to how they were

Vials & Pills make the game less fun and challenging, people just med and run in cw.
Medkits have added an element which I personally missed.
It gives an oldschool feeling to the game.

I think we should keep the vials and pills out of the game, and stick to medkits.
