Suggestion type:
Forum

Suggestion description:
To give the Event Team a thread to inform the players when they will have an event and to boost the active users in the forum.

While having that, the event team should advertise the FW forum for the players to check out the scheduled events and to gain more members in the FW forum.

ET Members should always tell the players to visit the forum for more information about the next upcoming events. I know this is a hassle but in a scenario where a player asks when the next event will be, ET must direct them to the event thread.

The event schedule thread should be regularly updated and ET members should post in the thread if they added, updated, or cancelled an event, and to keep the thread the thread visible at all times. Lastly, keep it clean and properly formatted :D

For example:

- you need to check if it has been suggested before, its a rule.
- the event team doesnt host at regular times, it depends on their schedule.
- this will cause the event team to take care of even more things aka change an event to ongoing aswell many other things that would be in the thread and decide on events before they're hosted.

Great idea. The even mod should show if he/she gonna host a hour before.
and this will be shown in the schedule.

That's why they add, update, and cancel an event whenever they want, it doesnt really need to be at regular times. This is just to give information

it's pretty easy to do it and event team should communicate with forum mods to help them with it

imagine trying to alt tab after every event and go to the 'event list' thread that we have with all the events and edit the list. every 10-15 minutes.

This is one way to stop laziness.
They just need to bookmark the thread, easy. And mods should sticky thread it.

That is why they do it a few hours ahead, not minutes before the event
Forum mods or ET members should remove the event after an hour the event has ended

It looks good, but I feel like it's just much better to host whenever an ET feels like hosting, unless someone already hosted a bit earlier ofc.
You can easily forget about the time or if something important comes in between.

I just feel like hosting whenever you feel like is much better, more relaxed. We accounce it in-game anyway, if you really want to play an event log into gunz and check once every 15 minutes.

ET's dont decide 3 events in advance as far as i know (considering they host in sets of 3), which means they have to edit the list after the first 2nd and 3rd events. I wouldn't mind, it would be comfortable, but that means ets have to do alot more as if they werent already

We already log for ourselves, I think it'd be a waste of time to post on forums what event we're doing, when and etc. Seems like you want more details than we actually put in the logs too. It WOULD be interesting to be able to reserve 2 hours for events on a specific date. However asking us to log all our events on the forums or plan ahead like that idk, it's too much.

Maybe the log could be available to us normal players instead of hiding it at cp.

I don't see why you guys would ever need to go through event log, The only feature that SHOULD be added is maybe like (Event hosted X hours/minutes ago) , maybe instead of the Currently no event in-game header.

correct me if im wrong but doesnt ET members just host events, give out the prizes, and post logs? its an easy job and 1-2 more responsibilities wont affect how hard to job is

I agree. There should be like, a schedule for the ET's what time to host. Also, here in Asia(daylight) there's barely no events hosted, I've seen ET's mostly hosts(nighttime).

Make Charm official and she will host for Asia timezone.

OT: + point for this suggestion is that, the ET's currently turn the image on and make the event after a minute or straight away. The schedule will help people reach the event on time.

Not sure why there is an argument on this disrupting ET's being able to host at one time when they still can. All this is doing is notifying players for an event so they'll be ready in advance and not miss them.

If I could decline this suggestion I would. But Mex has a point.

What if mattie has already planned a schedule of events for later then when the time comes, he has to do something which is more important than hosting the event?

As long as Dave makes this a smooth way for the Moderators to handle (nice and quick) then I don't mind. I'm totally against scheduling my events but this is something I SUPPOSE I could use when I'm like "aight I'ma host a set RIGHT NOW". I will never use it to plan a set in the future personally.

And as long as you can edit/cancel stuff then I don't see a problem with it, I just want it to be added in a smooth way without it taking up too much time for the moderators to add.

why you think you'll get ET in next apps and don't want difficult stuff to do ?

Ot: may be a system build in the CP which transfers the data onto the fgunz webpage. that keeps any errors made by ET hidden from players and better than making thread or somting else.

@bunny - ET job is really easy. Adding another thing for them to do will not kill them.

this is a great suggestion, i love deathmatch and infected events but the rest are boring and repetitive

if there was a schedule people would come on to play their favorite events more often

stop being lazy and add this!!

I agree we as citizens of fgunz need to know when and what kind of event we are playing .. im getting tired playing events that I don't even like + don't win anything. It can also improve our afkers in training rooms and professional trainers need to enjoy the sever's fun time not typing competitions..

I've heard from the majority of the ET Members that they don't want this to be implemented, and obviously they are not going to be forced to do it, so this suggestion will be declined.

Thanks for the suggestion though.
