Underclocking is a myth?

Underclocking

For microprocessors, the purpose is generally to decrease the need for heat dissipation devices or decrease the electrical power consumption. This can provide increased system stability in high-heat environments, or can allow a system to run with a lower airflow (and therefore quieter) cooling fan or without one at all.

wikipediaing unclocking wont get you the GunZ meaning.

Underclocking a computer is not underclocking gunz.

Underclocking is decreasing the performance of your PC.

Though for GunZ, people tend to suck **** at computers, and use a program for it. They call it underclocking too but it really isn't.

I wouldn't know how to do it without that program either.

Yea' Uc'ing your cp is diffrent from Uc'ing Gunz. Overclocking is also popular for pc's too but I am not sure what that does.

The 3rd Party Programs underclock your GunZ
My other PC has automatic underclocking. (GunZ works normal)

Underclocking is the complete opposite of Overclocking, instead of increasing your computers performance, it reduces the performance.
that's what underclocking is, i have no idea what it does in gunz personally, all i know it's a bannable offense since you gain unfair advantages ( just like any other hack/3rd party program. )

that's simply just one of the downsides of overclocking, it draws more power it overheats your pc badly, as they nearly doubling their normal jobs.
that's why you can't simply succesfully overclock ANY basic computer, you would be needing lots of fans etc to support this.

if you still manage to overclock your pc without any requirements for it, have fun burning ur pc and/or enduring lots of crashes!

I think UC slows down gunz basically.

all i got to say about underclocking is that its probably not true most of the time?

When i played fgunz we never had the word underclock in this server or w/e, but since i got back its like everyone whines about it... doesn't makes any sense at all, people just cry to fast if they get owned and then go rage and scream UC or some other pathetic reason they lost.

lol i have to agree, u never heard anything about underclocking here untill 1 person got banned for it.
but since it's still unsure what it really is people go derp, and accuse everyone of it.

My brother was watching some real overclocking videos and I talked about the UCing that was going around.
He said it was impossible that underclocking has something to do with your ping.

Nah underclocking is decreasing your computers performance.
let me give you a small example:

let's say... you have a 333mhz processor. you can overclock it to 500mhz so it's increasing it's performance. simple as that.
now with underclocking instead of using the standard 333mhz you decrease it to let's say... 200? so it uses less power and decreases the performance overall.

that's all it basically is, but again that's REAL underclocking, i personally have NO experience/knowledge with underclocking gunz.

There is a program, which can be used for GunZ and also other games, that does the same as underclocking. Cause barely anyone knows how to underclock a PC.

Though saying it's a myth is just stupid cause that has nothing to do with it, you're using the wrong words.

You Actualy dont need a Programm for "real" underclocking.
All you need to do is going into your Bios and set some stuff up.
Some Motherboards/Bioses dont support Clocking your CPU at all.

Thats NStep, since when is NStepping the same as "UCing"?
