Suggestion description:
To have 3 letter character names ^

Just would like to point something out before other people start suggesting it.
3 letter character name would be able to happen but as for longer one - no because according to Dave, they may cause crashes.

I think the max characters is perfect imo but 3letters would be perfect also so many good names missed out like Ace, War, etc

I know the requirements were 4 for GunZ (so far I know of), not sure if it would f*ck up the code.

Currently, if your name has a length of <= 3, people will not be able to whisper you.
I don't know what needs to be changed in order to support it so I can't approve this yet.

You're able to whisper them you just can't type it out, either have to right click their name to whisper or they have to whisper you first. That was the case with QBee's character Amy

You can't whisper them even if you try to right click name or do /r
It would always give me the message "Char name too short"

Indeed this happens, though i saw a server that was out there that supported 3 letter names without this problem (it's dead now though).

just use color codes, you can still get a 3 letter name '_'

Why don't you just do Ace^0 or War^0, wouldn't make that much difference.

Hate colour names idk why always have :) even if it doesnt make it obvious still bothers me :/

Can't help ya with that =p, keep on dreaming i guess.

Not sure if it'd be possible, but how about instead assigning something to an "^" that acts as a 4th character, but it's just null and does nothing but act as a placeholder. I think I even remember... pretty sure it was Prone suggesting ^N for "no colors" a while back. Maybe something like that could work. Only downside would be that if people want a 3 letter name with no colors, they'd have to pay for a name change, rather than just being able to do it from the character creation screen

I always thought it would be cool to have a 3 letter name, but it never happened, and will probably not happen in GunZ 1 history.

Since I can't name servers but theres another server anyways that does have this feature with the 3 letter names etc and yeah.. Would love to see it on FG though.

Neh that will take 50 coins.. its money... and color names are just stupid even tought u get "^0" it just looks stupid to me in my opinion xD
