good first attempt.. but you should apply a texture. also its easier to make something when you have a concept + concept art like scetches and etc =].

Nice work it takes a lot of time to make things on blender keep it up bro i tried my hardest but i couldnt even make a bloody block :D
I want to see more i like your dagger, but i like it without the colouring on, unless you can make the Cuts on the end of the knife more see-able with colour

First of all, this work isn't totally judged by how it looks.

This work is so unfinished that it just looks very bad, and if your not capable of seeing that right away then my opinion is that you should start something else, because you are to fast satisfied with something that isn't look very well (towards storm).

If I say this: "I don't like it" people will still complain, so what would be left to say for me? in my eyes there is nothing good at all in it, really just nothing.

I don't judge my own work well either, thats why I barely post anything, not because I'm afraid of replies but because I'm not satisfied enough, but I am learning.

If you want to do something with 3D or any other way of development then you should be able to accept other people's comment, if they are negative either use it to improve your own work but if you start flaming on it then you don't get a chance to grow any better, this might seem a bit ego of me but see me as a rude teacher, I simply know quite a lot about 3D, I don't need to know blender to know whats going on I can simply tell what needs to be better and what is just horrible. I have an own way of telling my things to people, I do that the way I do as long as its allowed, people like victor earned my respect and they'll receive a comment which isn't immediately rude but constructive and useful, people like this guy "Storm" don't get my respect, I'm saying my opinion and he falls for it like a dog does for a piece of meat, thats just complete bullshit. I don't care if people like me or not, I try to help in my own way, and sorry I will not change my way of commentary on work if people don't like it, they have to deserve that.

Probably didn't read everything cus I think thats kinda long but: I suck at GunZ, and I have accepted that and I don't get offended if people tell me, thats the same you guys should do if I comment you.

its 3Ds max for me, people told me that I sucked, which I did, I realised, got better and still suck, but am better then where I was.

Contrary to the previous statements, I'm going to be blunt and to the point so you don't make the assumption this has any part of it that's good enough to distribute on a forum as a 'first attempt'. Despite the fact this dagger looks like its made for a giant to be stabbing loli's, the second blade looks better, but thin that mofo out.

True, I would just prefer to tell him the truth about it. I've seen many modelers that have crashed and burned for it. I learned modeling on making space ships.

Ok here's the thing. its good that you are just playing around with blender a bit. but this work isnt really good at all. if you want to be better you should keep trying and trying. what slugh is trying to imply is that if you want to be an actual modeller (or 3d artist/gamedeveloper/whatever) you should get much better result than this and if you cant its a waste of time. harsh but the god damn truth ^_^.

so.. showing this is like a little too early if you ask me.. get some good result first before you show your work..
