Happens to me as well, just press alt ctrl and delete to open task manager and terminate GunZ.exe
It also happened to me twice and i need to restart my computer. Its annoying and idk what to do with it.
As you can see, it's not only us experiencing this freeze so it must be something wrong with the server, will inform the devs and admins about it, till then please just use the task manager and terminate gunz as said above, you don't have to restart your whole pc xd.

Does it show the program as "not responding" or not in the task manager?
Dump files and the mlog right afterwards without restarting the game could help too.
Just happend to me too. Nothing works.. Also I got some huge fps lags.. Dont know if thats me or...
I saw a mouse cursor pop up at the end of the video therefore the computer isnt frozen (gunz may be in a process sense though). Regardless i still need an mlog. There may also be gunzdump files which would be useful as well. They are in the freestyle gunz installation folder. When you crash, post your mlog and any associated gunzdump files before you start to play again. Thanks.

So does this only happen in events actually? I haven't come accros any issues at all, but I haven't played events lately.
It looks like it was a hacker who did it, but he should be banned now.
Interesting then, the only thing I did notice is that sometimes FGunZ seems to leak memory (for me) and causes a visual bug. Seems to happen randomly and it's not a big deal. Simply ending the process through task manager and restarting fixes that.
@ Linzor: thanks for clarifying, at least that'll keep me from looking out for what triggers the freeze.
Well, guess I was wrong and he's not banned, game crashed again.
If you guys freeze like that again, it's most likely someone who's doing it to you. If you get the chance, screenshot everyone who's in the room.
He used many names, so if it happens again it's probably someone that's level 1.
Just successfully hosted an event without any problems :D

Keep them coming. Happened earlier today and we banned a user for it.. not sure if the problem is resolved or not.
oh i thought it was just my bad computer causing this every room i'd join i would play fine then freeze for like 5min come back and room is gone till it finally stopped

And saw a person who's low level and made the character today but didn't get screenshot 'cause of freeze, so I've searched them on fgunz site..

Got this twice about 10 minutes ago in CTF. First time playing in a few weeks and had to look it up to see its a hacker... WTF.
Freezed yesterday for like 6x then I'd get screenlag after it unfreezes. All I have to do is to rejoin the room. Whenever it happens again I'd just go on other rooms.
Everytime it happens, take a screenshot of the people who are in the room.

Esc - option - 1337 - part 3 - disable abusive language filter or what ever is this option. And let me know if works.
