Hey guys i love fgunz but im worried. my laptop gets hot on the bottom in 1 hr is that bad? will my laptop break? please no trolls.
yes it will explode
^^ troll
It probably might over heat while you are playing fgunz and then you will rage O:<!!!
charcole its cuzz my fans broken so every 2 hrs i give it break.
get a coolpad like me
Yes its normal, when I had my laptop I used it all the time and left it idle on my bed a lot. It was boiling hot and there were no problems for me oh, also I used to play GunZ as much if not more than you when I had that laptop so yeah, it being hot is no problem :D
Thank u trixi. but my fan is broken is it gonna break my laptop?
More like super computer >.> -Is jealous-
Not rly.u can cook something on it.
Yes trixi. well i called the computer store they said it wouldent be broken bcuz ive had my laptop for about 11 months now and i never got the fans cleand so is it the fans that r dirty cuzz it was on my bed alot or is it my fan thats broken also. week ago my pc was hot and it shut off by itself.
I was gonna suggest getting the cooling fins cleaned. The area where the fan meets the fins collects dust and creates a "Lint Wall". Once you remove that, all will be well. A fan hardly goes out on a laptop.
A laptop will overheat for anything, depending on how long it's left on. If you left your laptop on for 10 hours but afk, it'd overheat. (That's why you don't leave your laptop for 10 hours,) XD
Ok well when i get home i will play fgunz for 3 h ours if my laptop turns off (over heats) i will bring to pc store ask them to clean fans. but if the fans are dead. should i get a cooling pad will that work?
If worse comes to worse, buy a new laptop. I remember when my other Toshiba laptop kept overheating, and I played GunZ with 30 fps... my god, felt like underclock to the max -.-. Yeah, get a cooling fan it'll help alot.
Yep. It's terrible, lol. Playing all games with low fps. I remember I took a Video Stress Test on Counter Strike Source, my fps was 5............ like wtf man.
and then my laptop would reach temperatures of 90% already during the first 5 minutes of start up rofl, also the laptop would get random lag spikes, like when you move your mouse cursor , or listen to music, it spikes -,-...
Toshiba's just bad imo , or I have bad luck :l
ok ive had this laptop for a year my ping in gunz is about 20-40 and i never lag sometimes i spike but i alt tab and i dont. are my fans broken our do they need to be cleaned cuzz ive never cleaned my fans and its been on my bed alot. and my laptop shut off the other day from overheating i think. if the fan is broken. and i get a cooling pad will it keep the laptop cool and not overheat?
You better put it on a flat surface. If you put it on a bed then it's obvious why it's overheating.
The fan can't suck air out of your bed sheet. (:
A cooling pad could cool your laptop down for a few degrees but it's still recommended to put it on a flat surface.
yeah stroop its onn a flat surface and the fans dont work i dont know if the fans are broken or if they need to be cleaned because. ive never cleaned them b4 and its a 1 year old laptop.
i suggest u replace ur fan asap and might telling us the specs of ur laptop?
wha u mean by specs? and if the fan turns out to be broken if i buy colling pad will it keep cool?
LOOOOOOOOL ! IM IN Laptop Too. :DDDD:DD:D but its not hot like ur laptop ur laptop is bad i guess :D:D
no its not
It is normal that a laptop gets hot though if your fan is broken I'd recommend to replace it (ASAP) As replacement you can play in the fridge. Or outside if its cold enough. In bed is not recommended at all! It could be the reason why your fan is broken. Also why would you play gunz in bed? I only have my laptop in bed for porn or music. For gunz i need a chair. A mouse and a keyboard since I have a MacBook Pro and I have been able to cider port so I can play gunz on a mac But somehow the keyboard of the laptop itself does not work properly:s. But yeah. It's better to not use your laptop at all until you replaced the fan.
i do use on table anyways if my fan is broken if i buy a colling ppad w]ll it overheat?
Why would i play gunz in my bed? i pla on table and its not broken i dont think the laptop is about 1 year old and the fan could just be cloged with dust cuzz ive never cleand the fan b4 and if it is broken. if i get a cooling pad i think it would be cool like around 30 degress
Yes its definatly possible Take it like this. You have an engine. This is getting hotter every minute because it keeps working(gunz) every minute its getting hotter. The only thing that cools it down is coolpad wich makes the outside of the laptop cooler but inside it does not really have any influence. Furthermore there isnt really anything to cool it down. Replace your fan ASAP unless you wanna get an explosion in your face to get a Gunz IRL feeling.
I dont have 200 dollars to replace a fkin fan
how much is a fan??
If you dont have the money to buy a new fan. Buy a new laptop
/pure logic
replacement fans on EBAY are seriously like $10. Shipped. Just need the know how to replace one. Tell me what laptop u have, I will tell you how to replace it.
Laptops usually get hot, that isn't really a big problem unless it gets TO hot.
If you place your laptop on your legs, or on a soft object, the chance is bigger that it gets "to" hot, that is because the ventilator will be blocked by the "soft" object, meaning the ventilator can't get rid of all its air, the object under it will get warm as well and that reacts with eachother, which makes it even more hotter, and that goes on and on, so try to put it on either a desk or just keep the vent space clean.
A desk is usually the best because that doesn't really warms up that easely, your legs for example already have a warm temperature, that is why its not suggested to put them there.
Usually when I'm rendering animation, my laptop gets quite warm, so does my desktop but you just don't feel that because of the case around it, things can get around 60 degrees in there when its just not doing a lot, and it can handle it fine, I don't know about the temperatures in a laptop, but as long as you didn't overclock something inside it then your fans should handle just fine what you're doing, you can always replace that but you do need to know what you're doing.
Any questions?
CBA reading this whole thread, big chance people said this already.
i tink it will explode :$
