What do you mean with went into the game? Do you mean you clicked on 'select character' and then it became black screen?Quote:

yes. i selected my character and the screen just went black
restarted the game and my pc,tried to delete the config file aswell. didnt work.
What if you set it to windowed mode in the settings on the login screen?
Ive tried that aswell. and if im trying to go back to fullscreen the game crashes

You should also check your anti-virus software to make sure it's not blocking FGunZ (gunz.exe), and close all unnecessary programs as they could be interfering FGunZ.
(running out of ideas here)

Laptop OR desktop, which one do you use?
so you hear the in-game lobby music, but you cant see anything? sounds like a graphics card problem to me
have you also tried changing in-game resolution?
