He's not bad at Yo-yo, which I have a terrible time with.. So give him credit for that. But, he's got an obvious weakness, that I've picked up after just watching the single D-style video on his Youtube: He moves too heavily on moving left. You'll notice that he moves right, every so often, and he can easily give the excuse "I was only showing left for the video!" But, you'll notice that he also shows a few moves when he's going to the right, and he doesn't move as far to the right as he does to the left on those moves.
You're pretty much right. Using the basics of D-style, then learning to apply them on each situation, and adapt to each one, in response, is a lot better than learning a few tricky moves that prove you can practice the same move over and over again until your fingers bleed. Honestly, I never had much cared for special moves, outside of certain basic and/or basic+, and I used to be considered one of the top D-stylists on this server.Quote:

Dagger freestyle is clearly the best. Not being subjected to the same moves over and over will fee you up to use much more strategic moved and also allow you to counter attack based on you opponent's play style. There are different areas in d-style, and I exploit k-style as good as I can depending on who I am up against. K-style is just so hollow its not even funny. The majority of them is just train, train, and train and then do the same things in matches over and over. So easy to exploit in most cases.Quote:

@Dagger, I got called pro all the time, even hacker. Does that mean I should also give myself the title Pro/Hacking D-Styler? Don't be so caught up in titles anyone else gives you. That'll just lead to insecurities later on in life; always trying to please others to give yourself a better reputation and a better overall feeling. Worry about what you think of you. Not what others think of you, or else you'll have to constantly please others to feel good about yourself.

For the record, K-style has a lot of laybacks. You can block, flip in place, as well as abuse glitches that just plain make the game easy. In D-style, you have to either dodge bullets/slashes, or take the hit. or "flip" is a lunge that takes a while to wind up, and is pretty easy to avoid, at times.
