Preview of my new map, Courtyard of Sun

Got my center building almost finished. The map will be setup in a town square. The church in the picture is the center building. Where the broken pillar is leaning on the other pillar, there will be a hole in the cieling leading to the top of the church. The outside of the map will be also reachable. The entire surroundings will include streets, buildings, and other various things. I will be using a very nice sky blue enviroment, with a awesome sun effect hopefully =D

ALSO, all the windows are transparent in-game.

Anyways, here's what I have finished for today. I know it doesn't look like much, but it took me a while because of all the caulking, and what not.

Hmm, I know you aren't done yet, but some improvements:

- The pillar, the broken one leans on, shouldn't be broken or only a small part:

- And the church looks too boxxy, it'd need a more "churchish" shape: (I guess you would have done this anyways)

Theres a way to speed it up.
Dont Texture in early states.
Map with Caulk as "default" texture.
In the Preferences theres a section about the clipper, set it to clipper uses caulk.
This way you only have to assign the right textures.

Looks great!
tips:
You should change the color of the bell to a more bright shiny gold color;
The pillars should have a better texture;
The broken pillar should have more destruction detail.

nice nice :].
But, I saw that the ijji maps are from movies ( battle arena > Gladiator, etc etc)
So, you should try to make a map that u saw in a movie, It will be proer :d.

The windows arent really churchy.....

But i like it. The model was made in 3ds'max?.

Also i need someone's help, my map wont run in debug mode xD i would like to show people....

Lol, do you think that i didn't do that or something? I've been mapping for a while, I wouldn't ever clip without caulk, regardless though, I still had to caulk some stuff. Im not saying it took me a super long time or anything. And I love how that is the only thing you reply with btw.

Could you make a map with full of secrets spots, transparant walls etc etc.

i like those! Example Gunzel freeza and a map that looks like a church.

That Map of yours is WiP, which means that you are still working and changing stuff.
So its useless to rate in this early stage of your Map.
But i agree with the most, the pillars have a horrible texture.

Now, let's give a common sense comment, not that I think your comments aren't useful!

First of all, the pillar the broken one leans on, on the top I can see there's a part missing, my question would be: Where did that part go?
If it was removed, then why haven't the people that live there fixed the broken pillar?
And second, I wouldn't make the windows transparent, I'd go for a brownish colour, to show that there's a window.

Remaining, I really like the map idea, and I'm looking forward to hearing more about it!

Lol you guys want so much detail, but there is going to be an entire town around this building, the problem is when I add in too much detail all I hear is people complaining about how much it will lag. Also, it's a rough draft, I will add in more details when I finish the outside

I've downloaded it but I'm afraid it's broken. The viewports don't seem to respond.

AAA Mods, whenever I start Radiant, I cannot see anything, the program starts, but all viewports are just plane grey.

Right click your gtkradiant.exe, and click properties. Now go to compatibility, Check "Disable Visual Themes" and "Disable Desktop Composition." It should run fine after that.
