[Idea] Room Master
Been wondering if this would be possible or not;

More in-game power to room masters.

Its really a simple idea, and would benefit the server greatly. You know all the times when the whole room wants to kick someone but no one has a kick then someone has to leave the room and create a new room and leave that room to come back to your room and kick, then a bunch of people wont stop fighting to hit Y and the vote gets rejected?

I've always felt that room masters were underpowered anyway, I mean, they aren't really able to do anything at all aside from game setup.

So with this is my list of ideas for room master;
- Ability to kick any player at any given time without voting. (instant game kick)
- Ability to end the game at any time. (send everyone to game room)
- Ability to promote someone else to room master.
- Ability to force a player to change teams. (in team games)
- {Maybe} Ability to end a round. (duels and tdm)
- Ability to speak, be heard, and hear others in a duel.
- Possibly a slight name/text color variant?
If you have anything else to recommend to the list please post :D
I really think this would be a nice unique thing for the server.

Ending the room would be better for those who want to change the map or game type and the players wont gtfo.
&Ending the round could be exploitable, but more for when people wont fight in a tdm or duel and the rest of the players get pissed cause they cant play.

Command to finish the Map sounds good..
The Duel Chat block will be removed in the new Client

It is the room masters room, he should be able to do with it what he wants. You have no idea how many times I have made a special room with certain conditions asked, and people come in and just ruin it because they out number me. If the room master gains room master title because previous room master left, it is previous room masters fault for not giving a trustworthy person room master before leaving.

Although I know it WILL cause problems, is it really better to not step into untouched territory? The server will never progress unless it takes a chance at something. Some players will get mad, some players already get mad when their rooms are ruined, or when they get kicked out anyway. It isnt THAT big of a deal for someone to be able to kick whenever they want. People will post on the forums about it, but they already do that, so who cares?

Just think about what is achieved by it.

We already stated that, people will find ways to abuse anything. What is the worst thing that can happen in this?

Someone make a room (apparently they want people in it or they would make it private).
People join and have fun.
If the room master randomly kicks people, there are no people in the room, people will get mad and leave because of it. No one will want to play with that room master anymore. It isnt going to ruin the server, they will just have to make a new game.

People posting on the forums about being kicked from a room is rare, you must not be that active on the forums then.

Bro....the master isn't gonna kick EVERYONE, just the people that are threatening, and people would probably be happy about this cause there would be less competition for them. So what are the people who are kicked suppose to do? Play with 3 other people on the server? Not fun at all my friend, trust me. I've be a victim of "countless kicks for no reason", and this is without a "master".

That doesn't work, if alot of people come into room and it ends up being outvoted, its useless. Who cares if the master kicks for fun, its his room, everyone else will find a new room and he will learn to stop doing that.

You guys talk about this being abused. But we carefully pick our gm's. They are all mature and capable of handling situations.

I actually like the end round, end game and the force player to the other team suggestion.

I think Room Master's should have unlimited kicks. But, A vote must be made to kick that person.

People like you don't seem to understand that if people like that kicked everyone out of the game, the game would be empty, and the kicked players would not be missing out on anything. >.>

Im sorry, but why, why, why, why, and why on all of those nos?

Its like you're saying "It's wrong because I said it's wrong."

And for the kicking; you're saying that all players have a gm function anyway, but we have to vote on it. That isnt how it works at all, gms have power over the entire game, room master implies that you are the master of the room. You aren't master of anything right now, you can start a game, woohoo, so can every other player by clicking the create room button.

Any added feature that has not been tested can be abused because it will cause problems at first.

Room modifiers can be abused to basically speedhack quest mode.
Snipers and Mines can be seen as overpowered.
Mines do not work at all in the sense that they give the kill to whoever was the last to hit the person that steps on.
Donation Items + Berserker = Jesus Mode
High Level Hotshot + Berserker = Jesus Mode
Speedy can be abused by anyone that has a macro function or autotype. (Yes they're illegal, thats what gms are for)
Not to mention the game is full of glitches in itself.

You cant say that we cant add something because it can be abused, simply because it has already been done. Its hard to be the best server if you have nothing unique to offer.

People with no staff status have no official responsibilities, and are not able to lose their function. Therefore will abuse their power whenever they can, cause they've got nothing to lose. :)

B flips A
A says: *beep*
B has been kicked of the room

Use your mind to create more of such situations. It will also cause trouble if people hate each other. In this way the hated player can't join the room if he gets kicked.

They have their accounts to lose. But not over a topic like this. Everyone is acting like room kicks would bring the end of the server.

It is the room master's room, they should be allowed to do this, they are the ROOM MASTER. The room should be the way they want it to be until they are tired of it and promote someone else to room master.

Use my mind to create more of such situations? They already happen anyway, why use my mind? If people hate each other why would they want to play with each other anyway?

Last night I left like 3 rooms because of people I cant stand to play with. I shouldn't have to if I made the room. You can ask nicely and they still dont leave, then they invite their friends and you're outnumbered. It shouldn't be this way if YOU make the room.

As Stroop and bakpao, if a random sprayer killed the room master, without thinking the master room will kick him ----> this random "wow this server ***** I am going to leave"

This is a good one, though it should be only limited to the REAL master only. I mean if the master left, a random player will be the room master, in this case he should not be able to use this command. and this needs a LOT of time to code, so I doubt it will be.

Hmm, all these are great ideas BUT, I got to say that Ending a duel or TDM is really abused, let me explain. You see, let's say a guy has 9 kills (DUEL) and is gonna get his streak, this ''Room Master'' could easily end the room and everyone will QQ. I agree with Elec when he said that only GMs can ''possibly'' force a player to change team, like example in events. I have to SAY that the instant kick is WAY TOO abused, well come on, you can't just kick someone for no reasons, it's only for GMs to do that. If you want a name color, then go buy it it's only 10$ hehe =D. The chat mask will be disabled in the next version according to few people, so no need for it :D. Promoting is COMPLETELY useless. Well, that's what I got to say, this is my Point of View! What do you think guys, am I right or wrong?

PS: It will be an AMAZING idea if the ''Room Master'' was mature and responsible and not a immature boy/girl that thinks it's fun to kick people or ending games.
