Before we warn and infract_{don't pls ,_,} me, this is for educational purposes. CheatEngine does not work on FGunZ you should know and anyway, you guys have a nice anti-uc I've seen it.

Now that the disclaimer is out of the way, lets get started.

.::Definitions::.
1. IDTIMWYTIMS: I don't think it means what you think it means.
2. UC (GunZ Related): Speed hack.
3. OC (GunZ Related): Speed hack.
4. UC - Lowering your Processor's (CPU/GPU) frequency under factory settings. This does NOT effect gameplay because it effects your WHOLE system.
5. OC - Increasing your Processor's (CPU/GPU) frequency over factory settings. This does NOT effect gameplay because it effects your WHOLE system.

.::Common Misconceptions::.
1. Isn't UCing your whole computer making you illegit in GunZ? NO. It's simply like downgrading a processor. (Going from an i7 to an i3) Just because your processor is running at a lower frequency does not mean that it will effect GunZ unless you go down to ******edly low levels such as 500MhZ or less at which point, kill yourself.
2. Isn't OCing your whole computer making you illegit in GunZ? NO. It's the opposite of the above. It's like upgrading (Going from an i3 to an i7). Just because your computer is faster, it does not mean GunZ gameplay speed is faster. It means it will be processed faster but gameplay will stay ultimately the same and you will not see others moving faster or slower.
3. Is overclocking/underclocking your CPU/GPU against the rules. NO. It does not make gameplay faster or slower, it makes your computer faster or slower. The requirements for GunZ are so marginal that it will not make a difference. Infact, almost all current gen processors are rapidly underclocking or overclocking themselves in real time because it does not have to be running at max speed 24/7.
4. So why is it called UC or OC then? Who knows? Maybe it sounds cooler and it'll make everyone think you're a computer wiz. This is GunZ, its all about ego. (Some people hint at actually going into Bios and doing so that way, and thats by far the stupidest thing I've ever heard in my life. Just why would you go that far for a marginal advantage.)


.::Proof::.
I assume now that it's time to prove myself. So using a very simple demonstration I'll try to prove it.
The demonstration program is something I created myself. I used tickcounts in it. The time is protected from UC/OC of any kind, it takes system time which is NOT being sped up or slowed down.
If you want it, or the source PM me, its nothing spectacular just for demonstration purposes.

These demonstration will cover everything besides CPU based underclocking. I'm too lazy to go into bios and edit my voltages. Take my word for it, unless you drop to a point where an iPod is faster then your PC it will make 0 difference.

GPU Based UC (Someone told me today that OCing my GPU would get me banned. So to prove them wrong, I ran the program with my GPU and then proceeded to change the clock speeds and power consumption of it. I also had KBoost on to ensure consistency. It's my way of bastardizing it down to a somewhat understandable sentiment. It doesn't effect gameplay in terms of movement speed of your character or others unless taken to extremes but that would fly over too many heads.

Whats useless about it, it's literally an explanation of common misconceptions. I'm being passively agressive.

There's one thing I know for a fact, I can TBF better and faster at 150 FPS then 60-

Over clocking my system from 1 GhZ (under clocked by default) to 3.6 Ghz gives me like 5 extra frames lmao. In a way it does help with gameplay if you have an old computer (Not in my case) but it can also wok the other way around, people use 60 FPS for D-Style.


Why the hell should UC or OC get you banned? I doubt it helps in any way... The least it can do is solve your lag problems (or create them) and melt your computer

The fact that GunZ can't do correct animation timing with proper synchronization is a massive *facepalm* for me. I despise shit like this^^. The difference of being able to do TBF does in fact come down to fps....try it when forcing down to 30 fps, I dare you. It's nigh impossible. But I suppose that's what you get when the moves themselves are move queue abuse anyway.

*EDIT*

FPS also affects relative input sensitivity. You're generally all-around better off with a higher framerate when it comes to anything on any game, really. Only move queue abuse stuff (e-lunge, groundlets) is practical at low fps but the benefits of being able to do semi-fancy glitches doesn't pay off against the increase ability to more effective moves faster (because of GunZ's shitty timing/queue priority).

On my old computer gunz gets about 40- fps, the tbf is hard as ****, you have to time the first slash perfectly.

Game engines use CPU based timers that give the program an idea of the passage of time....In other words, if the game DIDN'T have a timer, your animations would execute as fast as the computer would muster....resulting in an odd experience where the higher the framerate you have, the faster your animations are. The way most games do it is called time-dependent animation, where the animation's frameset can be expressed as a function of some arbitrary time rather than whenever the game renders a frame.

Thats why he's glitchy on top of his jump. Only way why people COULD call it speed hack is because when a UC'r records him self.
And lets a other person watch it, the replay SEEMS to go 2/3x as fast then normal. But in reallity he never was so fast. It's actually more like gravity hack that bugges replay.

It's Speed hack because speed hack hooks specific things that the game uses to "normalize" time for everyone, (Things like QueryPerformanceCounter, and TickCounts) and making them respond slower, effectively slowing down gameplay for you. Not only does it slow down gameplay, it slows down everything including how fast you send and receive packets.

So going back to your "gravity hack theory", in your packets that your GunZ client sends to everyone in the room, it sends your position, velocity, direction, and direction of velocity. If GunZ only sent position, people with higher pings would be teleporting. GunZ takes your velocity into account and moves you accordingly which is why when someone suddenly lags out or alt+f4's their character flies off in one direction temporarily. The slowed packets also explain the spiking movements, among your gravity theory.

Because they send this data slower than normal, they maintain a decent albeit slightly higher ping (because the pong requests are also sent slower) Then they send conflicting data of their positions it resembles spike almost perfectly but its a constant spike.

Now lets talk about replays and how they work in GunZ, you should realize you can't open GunZ replays in video players, why? Because they are not video files. GunZ replay's are a recording of packets that are played back to you. So when your slow at getting packets, you're also slow at reading packets and thus recording them. Why is that an issue? Anyway, it makes u ''jump'' higher. I've seen a friend do it in i was next to him. This was like 2-3 years ago he did quit gunz tho.

uc with cheat engine seriously worked for me when I turn off I die but when I turn on I kill them all lol sneaky uc

FGunZ will detect CheatEngine's speedhack.dll and then kill it's process.

It's not theory its fact, I use to be a Gunz dev, head dev, and head coder on other servers, I know what I'm talking about. Also yes I know the second part of your post is correct but its because I over generalized it. View my post on the second page in which I reply to WizKid explaining what I ment by it.
