Client won't start.

Hi,

When I click on start game in the launcher, the client won't start.
There is also no error pop-up indicating what's wrong. (directx 9 error or w.e)
Tried most stuff (run as admin; kill the processes or services; restart PC; re-install FGunZ) .
If you developers needs a specific log file I'll be happy to update my thread with one if you could name the specific file.

On a side note:
I do use Windows 8 Pro 64 bit. (Not sure if it's a necessity)

Might be a random windows 8 related problem.
Gunz runs on windows 8 but ive heard some ppl having problems with it regardless.

Other GunZ servers work fine for me, not going to name them ofcourse.

Had this, reinstalled windows. Worked

Could you also do the following:

How to get a DirectX dialog report:

1. Click on "START"
2. (If you are using XP) Click "run"
3. Type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. Click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice
5. Open that text file and copy+paste its contents to pastebin.com, then include its link in your help thread.

Added gunz.exe and launcher.exe to the exception list of your anti-virus and firewall?

They are in the firewall and antivirus allowed items section. Still nothing starting..

Windows 8 has .NET framework 4.5 by default. Also installed the C++ Redist for VS2012. Restarted my pc and still no progress. :mike:

Try to run gunz.exe and launcher.exe on a different compatibility mode...?

Clearly it's an issue with GunZ 64.exe

I looked over your DxDiag, your laptop specs are about equivilent to mine.
Drivers are fine, everything is up to date.

The problem is, I have 0 information or documentation on GunZ64.exe, so if you'd like you can PM me we'll get in contact and I'll get on teamviewer and attempt to fix it myself, manually its easier for me that was aswell.

If not, secondary option is I shake down linear for information on this error since GunZ64.exe is his creation but I may know the issue.
