My GunZ life time analysis, was saving it, here you go FGunZ-Part 1-To Dave&Staff&All

What Should Have Been Done Years Ago

Disclaimer: There will be some ideas and concepts here that some of you won't agree with or like at first. However, these are things I believe has to be done for GunZ. Just like the balance of daggers, most of you may have liked them at first better than the hard to use ones, but look closer at how the game is being affected.

GunZ, and getting people wanting to play again, which will result in an outcome unmatched if it's able to be done.
- Sure making new updates and cool new things gets people wanting to play and buy them, however, that method, if used as a main method to get the player base interested, will at best, be an on and off pursuit. You have to get people wanting to play, get them thinking about the game even when they aren't playing, when walking home from school, when they're going to bed, etc. That should be the main goal, and then, you will have a larger player base, more money, and players will have fun.
- What needs to be done to ensure this is the following:
- Events, and not the random ones hosted in game, at least, not in that fashion. To keep the game lively visually on the forums, on FGunZ youtube channel, on the GunZ website and on FGunZ itself, there has to be things always going on centered around the game itself. You guys did a great job with the unique game modes and events being hosted in game, to be honest, im really amazed. However, sure staff made an AWESOME game like infected and capture the flag, but what then? Just leave it there? I honestly am writing this also mainly because of things like that, it happened with ijji and aeria, don't do it here. Your events and game modes, i repeat, game modes, and player made game modes are your assets.

You have to continue milking those assets. Have the game being lively by putting offical goals and competition into the game USING the game. This. I promise you will not disappoint. The idea to do this; create tournaments, events to bud IMMENSE and INTENSE hype around the game inside and outside of it. Take CTF and other game modes for example:
- Starting with CTF. Heres what fgunz should look like.
CTF Monthly Tournament Event:
- choose your team and come battle it out to earn the title of best CTF team! Prizes to be won!
This will finally be the breaking point to get at least some of the community active, making guides for this, videos, top 10 flag captures/steals on youtube, etc, this will get people talking about FGUNZ, and fgunz's presence will be made known all over. You will be on youtube, ETC.
Could have things like 4v4 CTF tourny, 6v6 and so on. Also, a championship seasonally, to keep abusing these assets to the fullest and to get people talking.

Infection:
Again, use this. Monthly Infection Survival Tournament:
Whatever method, this has to be done. Come one come all, be the best against the zombies and earn the title of Infection King/Queen.
Quarter finals: Be the last one alive best of of 5.
Semi Finals: Be the last one alive best out of 7.
Finals: Be the last one alive best out of 10 to earn the title and many prizes.
All this, once again, would lead to EVEN MORE videos about FGunZ and get people hyped the **** out. Also have a seasonal championship once again.

Man you guys and staff have to know that this for sure, (i didnt think all these years bout GunZ for nothing) will get people wanting to donate for the server, get new and more gear not only for themselves but for their teammates for team games like a freaking CTF Championship.

Duel Tournament:
--- Before I go on, I'm going to pitch one hell of an idea. All these tournies should may all be through clans. The ability and potential of clans is immense. GunZ clan battle system is actually really just one huge family of competition and fun, and im not talking about clan war. Although all these ideas would actually make clan war more active by drawing all the attention away from it from time to time. But, bottom line of competitive clans is to verse other clans while playing with teammates which builds team mate relationships and teamwork, which will bind all of gunz players with one another.

The use of clans pitch:
So, back to the tournaments, take the CTF Tourny/championships for example:
CTF CLAN CHAMPIONSHIPS:
- Clan Hax versus Clan Goat in the semi finals starts now!
With all this, a clan page/page for each clan to have their records shown of wins, achievements, etc.
Eg: Clan Goat: 2009 CTF Clan Champions, and also have a forum section with replays of ALL these matches so players can download them, study them, join in on the hype as if they were and will feel apart of something within FGunZ. This will make it so championships will keep getting better, more plays, increases skill each season/monthly tourny. Also, madly increase the activity and presence of FGunZ game players on the forum.

Clan Duel Tournament:
People will LOVE this, people love online games and the interaction. Like the olympics, even though the 1 km dash is a singular type thing, you are representing a team. If you watch interviews about olympians talking about solo games but the need and support of team, training together sharing tips, THIS brings the games and everyone together.
Clan duel tourny would be like:
Choose 4 Players to respresent the clan.
Quarter Finals: Clan Goat Player 1 vs Clan Hax player 1. If goat player 1 wins, and depending how much they win by, earns clan goat X amount of points in quarter finals, so, which clan with the most points moves on to the semi finals. A team is only as strong as their weakest link they say. THIS WILL TREMENDOUSLY get players playing training like crazy TOGETHER pming each other out of game to get online and spar with each other, dominate duel rooms, this is the method I was talking about to secure a lock on tournaments, which secures a lock on game modes such as duel and also secure player base on fgunz, in clans, and so on.

There can also be a clan gladiator tournament that works the same way as above.

Clan ATTACK AND DEFENCE MONTHLY TOURNAMENT:
To get cw more lively and clans in general, there MUST be other things. People of all skill levels will be so hyped to start playing, practicing, and having fun together. To ensure this, tournaments can be done in different heat levels.


Well, thats part one of my idea generally, without specifics on every game mode. Please take into consideration all this is will be invalid if things like triple rs exist or OP dual mg shit in an attack and defence tourny, etc.

Please I'm srsly begging now to take out triple rs, its only function is to validate walking and spamming... rs. GunZ gameplay has been developed by gamers and by changing it and tweeking yourselves, you are totally disrespecting former tactics, meta strategies and founders of techniques. Players will continue finding new game play styles and inventing tactics, but ANY TIME you tweek with meta gameplay, like by changing med stats, it will not work out. Please take out triple rs, its only use is to validate walking and slow down gameplay moves, etc because you can ONLY TRIPLE RS WHILE WALKING, NOT MOVING OR SPAMMING JUMP to have a gun out for extended periods of time.
Triple RS totally unbalances every advancement in gunz to date, because they have been found with only rs in existence. Rs alrwady made meta rifle gameplay unbalanced and forced to change and is highly limits its gameplay if rs did not exist. Rs made GunZ's meta gameplay have less variety, and more strict. Imagine what triple rs is really doing. Are you infreakingsane? It ruins advancemets like PPQ, if you can already do 3 fast shots without moving. The generation of triple rs players will only become more stale and strict and all the same.

I just don't see how or why... I don't know....

Also, this thread isnt about any individual player liking a specific idea or not. Obvly not everyone likes rifle/rifle wep combo, but its still there.

still there cuz it has to be there for variety and many other reasons. If there were no rifles or sniper rifles, sg/sg will follow the same fate as cw, eventually. Actually the game would suck. Hence, the game is sucking. Anyway, im not replyin any more, read.

Would be nice if the staff team will add a few types of ClanWar for example CTF CW.

I'm not fond of the last idea. Just because something doesn't require skill doesn't mean we should go out of the way to prevent players from doing it. FGunZ is not a hard core server and ideally will never be.
We provide options for people to take that route through their own choice with the use of game tags, but the idea of forcefully removing something because it takes "no skill" is not something I will ever support. Nor for your staleness argument.
At it's core, GunZ is a game where you point and shoot and the person who does it as fast and accurately as possible will generally win. Just because something basic can invalidate any time or training you put into making/learning a technique (which is your own problem) doesn't make it worthy of being prevented.

Thanks for the reply, first off, my ideas in a nut shell... Hmm, well you're missing the point, and I'm thinking about trying to advance gunz general, and no im not talking about gameplay advancemets specifically or at all for that matter. Also, you're not making sense with your first comment on these ideas restricting players to play the game in one way only, tbh its the total opposite. I don't think I should have to explain that more variety is the opposite. The main thing here is what the tournament and events will do for the game as I have stated clearly enough I believe in my thread.

Also, on your last comment on my last idea, I'm pretty sure I did not say or imply triple rs does not require skill. Also, FGunZ just added it into gunz, it wasnt always there, don't forget that. I stated why It triple rs should be removed, and that still stands, it's not like you're saying anything against my reasons as to why it should be removed, you haven't done that so... Ask yourself this: what was the reason to add faster sgs into the game? Was it just to give them a boost? To give donor sg's an edge? To speed up gameplay? You have to look into what it is really doing, and I stated what I believe triple rs is doing, and for that reason, it clearly isn't a positive thing.

Reminds me of the movie watchmen and the ending, the world gets a long but temporary moment of peace with one another, but that peace is based on a lie.

With a mindset like that it's unlikely that GunZ will ever reach any level of greatness in the future. It's almost as if you guys want to limit the milk you'll get from the potential cash cow that is this game seeing as there is currently no official server.

Yes, the original idea of GunZ was to be a shitty third person version of Team Fortress 2 but the founding of these glitches(K-style, and the like) completely changed the game for the better. It created a set of skills that one needs to know before being able to play others as opposed to just walking and pressing one button. At one point these "glitches" were removed and GunZ lost a lot of its players. In the end, they reverted the game back to the way it was, the way the players wanted it to be. This made k-style and d-style valid tactics to be used in the game. The community changed the very way the game was meant to be played. Isn't this the ideal of all game creators? A game that caters to the players.

There's a hint in there somewhere for you guys. You don't want to limit the greater moneymaking potential of this game because you want to support such a bullshit made-on-the-spot "core" concept of GunZ. You say that FGunZ is not meant to be a hardcore server then why have donors at all? Why not make the game equal for everyone? Nah, cause you need money to keep the server going and some money to put in your pockets. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of people who are willing to pay money to support the game that they love and they do. These people are the ones who would even donate money without getting anything back. Then you have the ones who love the game but would not spend the money on it because of various reasons. I ask you, of those two types of people, who makes more of the gaming population?

Man, you said most of what I didn't want to to keep this thread legt with no assumptions/judging. But crom Mike's post, made me think his mind set is to think in a way where the staff won't have too much work to monitor and set up events and continue with random in game "and the pass is" because obviously that alone, no matter what you can think of to make up a new type of hide and seek event for example, that alone can't and does not compare to what I know will do something. Also, if I knew FGunZ had thr future of gunz andtheir game in mind money aside and new content aside to keep curret players interested on and off, I would donate a lot of money and only expect a better future for the game, no matter how far ahead, months, days, hours.

But yeah seems like, from mike's post, he isn't thinking bout gunz like that. Stating my main ideas are tournaments, ignoring everything else, the tournaments were just supporting thoughts, ****ing... Lalalala. But yeah.

It's hard to understand where they're(the FGunZ crew) coming from because what it's all so contradicting. They don't want the game to be serious/hardcore and have no intention of advancing the game into something of greatness. So that implies they opened the server purely for fun and because they love the egoistical ****ers that is the GunZ community. Yet, the donor items they put out are OP as hell and break the game in many ways which was already an existing problem dating even back to Ijji. I wouldn't judge or make assumptions of fgunz staff like that man, but rather ask questions to figure out there thoughts about things to see their stance hoping they aren't holding a bias by keeping money or how much effort and work they would have to do when replying to me. That being said, they do care somewhat or a lot about "fgunz" in at least a view regarding the present state of the game. They balanced out most of their donor shot guns if not all, in comparision only to their in game shot guns however. From my views I see their main work will and always mainly be the present state of the game, but you need a gamedesigner point of view, to think further ahead and someone not having to worry about the present state (present unexpected errors, unbalances, you know...) too much or at all. Because that will lead to unexpected updates for the players, updates that are all focused towards some future goal or point to get the game at. Changes and impliments. Not just reactionary updates. I'm speaking from what I can see. So any staff or anyone, feel free to object to things i just said,. Just know im not talking like this is ALL fact and truth.

Mike's post pissed me off at first cauz its not like he replied with an argument that they wont have the effects i said my ideas will have, just made an attempt to sum them up, which he failed to do, and make a falsified remark that all my ideas will only limit the players as if it would even more than how limited options of the game are now. But he made that reply with his version of my thread in mind, " just tournaments" Should have been more professional.

this thread i made, keeping in mind its only part 1, will for a fact, give reason for legit video content of fgunz to be uploaded, and will lead to more attention to this game and also will lead to players being more active. but i dont like summing up my threads in posts like this. makes it so the attention stays almost all in conversation and not on the thread. And I mean, people actually going to the first page and reading it there from timd to time and then responding. Instead of people looking on the last page at first, and responding to what they see before looking at the thread itself. I know fgunz forums makes you go to the first page first if you havent specified what page u wanna go on first.

Clan war tournament + livestream plz. Qualify by getting in the top 20 clan rank within first 20 days of the month or something

Atk Def and CTF etc wouldn't be a good idea. Most people who are really competitive would prefer cw tourney.

clan war is the MAIN THING in gunz. Why is *** populated? They have shitloads of cwers. Why is AG still surviving? They have cwers. Clan war is pretty much the only competitive thing left in gunz. Hence, all other kinds tourneys are actually a waste of time. The real deal is a clan war tournament. Your thread are filled with ideas about tournaments which most people wouldn't even care about.

Clanwar tournament would be apart of this and is. And clanwar is not the only competitive thin remaining, it is the only thing with a platform for competition between clans and everything else does not have anything like that. You havent read enough. and all the "other" tournies, what other tournies dude? and random 1v1 tournies or glad tournies don have a platform like clanwar and its ranking system. By saying my that, you are saying everything that I say the events and tournaments will- o wait you havent said anything against all the many reasons as to what these events or events made in the way ive suggested will do.

If duel tourny was made for the public when clan war came out, it would have a long chance to grow like cw's. You have tdms and they had a platform like cw. U have duels but no platform. If duel tourny was made bak then and proper (not showing opponents hp/ap, etc) duel tourny snd its seasonal tournies if made jus like clan tournaments back then, would be huge and if it were like that, the game in its prime would be more solid and more active. You saying clanwar is the only thing only seems that way due to the circumstances. Offered by the devs.

i strongly agree with your ideas. however there needs to be active cw tournies along side with these tournies, why limit it to just cw tournies or just ur idea of tournies, so u can attract people who only want cw and people who want more. also advertising like you said is a big one. Streaming(which is getting big right now, youtube videos, reddit facebook what ever.)

thanks for the support man. also, in my thread, i mentioned that the tournies i suggested were just examples for the cause i had put down, so yea, clan tourney definitely is apart of this, ofcourse lol. But yea, if there are not too many events and ways to support them and build them up, then there wont really be advertising for it is also something i point out. Yeah, one of the facts (not just my idea, but fact) is that there should have been a solid competitive platform to cater to each type of player. The goal here for me isnt to come up with seperate ideas or one single idea like only one new event, fgunz, een if many ppl dont like one thing at first, should be out there, just like having many different weapons out there. Then slowly, people will actually start making and finding out new things with those weapons, with the new events and games, using them. This is not a matter of how many people like a certain thing in this forum at first,FGunZ, gotta think what all this can and will do.

Anyway, I had a feeling i'd see a comment like this soon lol, glad you found your little par of all this that you like =p, thats the goal so the WHOLE player base is always active doing things, soon at least 1 person would make videos for what they love, etc, it will all happen automatically. I repeat this for everyone, the goal is to have something out there for everyone, which will lead the player base being more active online in the game, and out of the game on youtube.


I'll say it one more time. If there isn't a physical platform out to cater to many types of players, but there is for just one or a few types, the game won't ever reach its full potential.

1st. AnD tournaments could be a great deal, back in the old days there were always 3-6 AnD games.
2nd. The triple rs O.o I don't see the point in that why they brought that up. I have to admit it's unique but why? for the inexperienced gamers? why make it them easy?
3rd. glad tournaments such a nice idea.

5th. infected is imo not fair. Why, because it happens all of the sudden, you don't know who will become infected and if your with a group and someone makes a mistake and your infected. Also with the room tag fast reload, take 2 supershotty's (50bullets) a group with 4 people (unlimited bullets 1 round up press reload take the other weapon and so on). But this is my opinion so..

Now for all the tournaments (just a question) if i've read everything properly you don't mention anything in the other tournaments beside cw how you want to play this, because CW tournament are played with your fellow clan members. So you wan't them to create a new system for these tournaments, where you can select every random player you want and create your team? Wow, one of the first legit responses that covers everything, thanks b! lol, anyway... Thanks for the input on the events n tournaments, also on infection, you had in mind that all weapons would be allowed, but if they were, as time goes on, people would get smarter, more skilled at not being randomly caught and come up with strategies, etc. But also, I would think there also should be some exemptions on certain weapons to keep the integrity of the competitiveness in infection events/tournaments.

Also, regarding on that I didn't mention other types of tournies or specify how they would run, well, I was just trying to get the general point of my ideas out. So, it would be cool if a new system could be created for things like actual gladiator clan wars and stuff, maybe by making a type of channel tag, so there would be a new clan war channel that only allows swords, so when you go to clanwar while in that ch vs another clan in that ch, it would be swords only, just an idea. That aside, even without a system, just tournaments monthly and a championship is fine for now right. Also, for clan tournaments, people shouldn't be allowed to enter a clan any time for a tourney. How ijji did it back then was that for a member to represent a clan in a clan tournament, they would have to be in that clan for at least a month prior to the tournament. We can apply that here so people don't add ppl in any time, maybe even increase the minimum to 3 months to prove they were already a member. Just an idea.

And for other tournaments thats not clan, we could make it like WoW, how u can form a 2v2, 3v3, etc, team in general for arena pvps and such. And we could say that these teams couldnt be dismantled for a certain period of time so ppl couldnt keep messing with their line up for the many diff events. So yea, for the non clan events, dream teams could be made, for sure. But don't forget my multiple heat level suggestion. So there would be different skill ranked tournaments for the many different experience leveled players out there, so the tournaments would be enjoyable. Trust me, its fun when you are having a fair fight both ways. Like in league of legends or company of heroes, you definitely wouldnt have fun fighting pro players especially if you are new and trying to learn the game. Or learn your way around tournies.

Oh yeah, well I meant that for the non clan tournies, players just select their own and and... well i see what u mean, the non clan tourney teams would have to be together for a while so they cant keep switching up teams and hoping teams. But thats what I meant when comparing this to world of warcraft arena pvp. You make a team and that is your team. Could also make a team name, should have to. Once the team is made, shouldnt be able to dismiss it anytime or dismantle it to keep the random team tournies legit, yeah I gotcha.

Also, I see you commented on the triple rs. Even you can see as well or can't see the real reason it was added, because clearly it only makes players lazier, repetitive fighting styles amongst many different players, cmon, adding new weapons is one thing, but changing the game so much in a way to the point ur changing techniques like they did with DStyle.... Ugh. Well I said what triple rs is really doing in my thread and what I said is fact, like it or not.

You should also try thinking of other ways to get donations to keep the server running because you have suggested taking out triple reload shot. Donators will need another form of compensation. Ideally, they could take the LoL route and have most, if not all, donations for aesthetics/VIP type things, rather than straight up power.

Sup, yeah good point, will be easy. But, the points I have brought up will also bring in a boost of money by having a larger player base a bit but mainly by having more active players. Players with goals in mind, once you get players to start focusing on a goal like learning a specific move, aiming to win a tourny or break a record or any goal thats awesome to them, they'll be playing more n possibly buy stuff to aid them into reaching that goal. Make money without ****ing up the game, without changing gameplay negatively.

aesthetics wouldn't work for donors, as any professional gunz player would prefer to use older gear as it helps people play better depending on what they wear. if im wearing a full donor clothing i play like sht compared to when i say use the sparta clan set. they just need to make a way to achieve donor gear without having to actually donate.

Also, what is the time length of 1 round in a gladiator clan war. Another question, do you know the map rotation for clan wars? Do you also know the map rotation for gladiator clan wars? Joke, I didn't play any clan war? I think the hours I spent playing clan war is longer than the hours u spent playing gunz. Telling people not to assume shit and there you go assuming shit rofl. Obviously you didn't clan war enough. 1 regular clan war is about 10minutes not less than 4minutes. Gunz is dead, at least compared to what it used to be. It's an old ass game that has little customization options available; what, you think a new 'epic' map or new 'epic' items or clothes is going to make a difference? Maybe by 2 or 3 players at the most, but no. In the long run, no it will not. Gunz is not a variable game and with Gunz 2 out it only makes Gunz that much less popular.

Well, did you read the original thread before saying that first line? Just wondering. I was trying to express the uses of these suggestions and the inportance of them rather than just say lets have a wider range of game types in tournaments. The thread length aside and firstly on triple rs, I'm refering to any shotgun with a delay around 950 and lower, I do believe 960 and higher delays are okay, these low delay shotguns allow for something called triple reload shot. I'm wondering if anything was found about it in the recent huge update, dave or someone will hav to point that out if it was because it seems like something was done. But anyways, I'ts just fast 3 consecutive shots using reload shot, and we know normally, with "regular delay" on shotguns, you can only get two fast shots consecutively using reload shot. Watch detjar's trailer and look at the part with the two players walking and spamming reload shot; since delays are very low, walking a bit more often is more feasable and rather morely liked compared to using moves at times because the lowered delay. Which can only be fully taken advantage of while walking, or just having your gun outnwith no interuptions like dashes.

I pointed out that you will notice in fgunz, players are walking more often and stay in walking mode a little longer than usual since its more feasable in fgunz with mainly 950 delay and lower shotguns aiding reload shot to go beyond limits that have been around forever and is still here. Gameplay is and will slowly become more stale amongst players slowly with shotguns if this continuous.

And also, on the tournament topic, your pointing out some good info, and I believe there should be a tournament or something of the sort or an event of some sort for huge games like attack and defense and basically dor everything even if it turns out to be dead in the start or foe a while. Options just have to be there. Things will grow over time just as gladiator 1v1 rules slowly came into play, building foundation for gladiator 1v1s, things will happen on its own.

I didn't really notice the triple RS but now that you mention it when I had donation items still, I do remember that happening. Which is completely ridiculous. The idea to do this; create tournaments, events to bud IMMENSE and INTENSE hype around the game inside and outside of it. Take CTF and other game modes for example:
- Starting with CTF. Heres what fgunz should look like.
CTF Monthly Tournament Event:
- choose your team and come battle it out to earn the title of best CTF team! Prizes to be won!
This will finally be the breaking point to get at least some of the community active, making guides for this, videos, top 10 flag captures/steals on youtube, etc, this will get people talking about FGUNZ, and fgunz's presence will be made known all over. You will be on youtube, ETC.
Could have things like 4v4 CTF tourny, 6v6 and so on. Also, a championship seasonally, to keep abusing these assets to the fullest and to get people talking.

Imagine what triple rs is really doing. Are you infreakingsane? It ruins advancemets like PPQ, if you can already do 3 fast shots without moving. The generation of triple rs players will only become more stale and strict and all the same.

So, in relation to this thread, im saying that the more you use what you have, the more ranked game modes you have, the more players will actually talk about the game, have more motivation/watch videos to get better etc. I say this will happen because not everyone just likes clanwar and even the people who like it get tired of clanwarring sometimes... If we have more platforms, more stuff around the game will pop up, more videos of cool plays in clanwar, in attack defence tournaments, etc.

I realized that too lol, but that just goes to show that a game mode, when it comes down to seriousness, isn't exactly "balanced". Anyway, not saying infected is bad or has problems, but gotta use your assets, maybe fix it up and make a competitive version, use all your assets. Like I legit believe each game mode should have a competitive/special day event type thing like in other games, take league of legends, imagine if they had 1 game mode that was so popular, but could not be played in ranked. Here im saying that clans are not just for clanwar and clans are competitive at times, and we can use this, in relation to irl Olympics, you have one full team competing and supporting each other against another team, even if only 1 member of their team is going for an event. But some how everyone is included, by like, overall team rating by adding the ratings up of each member in a team. So to access the potential of clans more, im not saying to have 1v1 tournaments and teams etc, but more specifically, if we had a 1v1 tournament, have it done by clans in a way, this is to increase the activity around fgunz. As I explained, could have 4 players from a clan represent their clan in a 1v1 tournament.

^is what I believe to be a good method to liven up the game. Cannot just have one competitive standpoint, that will slowly drain the game, milking one thing too much. Look at the replies in this thread from other players to see what I mean. Goal is to get everyone doing something. So just having one platform will actually not just slowly kill the game by getting stale over time, but not everyone is gonna be into that so don't milk it.

yea, just suggested them because of what i believe they will do for the game. If they couldnt result in the pros that i believe they will do, i wouldn't suggested them.
