Did it create a new config.xml?
Open the config.xml (with editor), set the following video settings to false:
Quote:
<REFLECTION>false</REFLECTION>
<LIGHTMAP>false</LIGHTMAP>
<DYNAMICLIGHT>false</DYNAMICLIGHT>
<SHADER>false</SHADER>
Okay, I've uploaded it here: http://fgunz.net/config.xml

Try updating your drivers for the GFX-card
Just like what Colour said.
Run dxdiag and after that look under your system it will say what your computer is running, but not what your card is running. For that look under the Display Tab and look at what your DirectX Version is. For DirectX 11 is should say 11, butif its not running what it should say it may say something like 9Ex for DirectX 9. If this is the case then this is your problem.
All that needs to be done to fix this is to do a clean install of graphic drivers.
1- Go to your Programs and features and uninstall your graphic card software. Make sure to delete all graphic card software and drivers when it asks you what to uninstall.
2- Go to your device manager, right click on your graphic card and uninstall to make sure that all driver information is gone.
3- At this point restart your computer and do a fresh install of your graphic card software, that will include the drivers and what not you need.
DirectX could not working could be caused by anything, lol.
1. Go to start and in the search bar type in run. Open run and type in 'dxdiag' (without commas), click the Display tab and at the bottom it should say Direct3D and DirectDraw. If these are disabled, enable them, if they are greyed out, it means DirectX isn't installed.
2. The other option is that hardware acceleration is playing games on you. Open up the Screen Resolution page, click Advanced and then the Troubleshoot tab. Under this time you should see a Hardware Acceleration bar, set it to max, if it is already on max, turn it completely off.
3. There was another private server that had this exact problem but it was actually the clients fault. Change your config.xml'a video settings to this:
It's a possibility that FGunz is trying to launch the game in an unsupported resolution even when it's set to the standard Windows resolution. Just changing this to 800x600 usually fixes the issue.Code:<VIDEO>
