Update - 9 February 2015

Hey Freestylers,

a new update has just been applied. *it may take 30-60 mins until your launcher can download it*

General:
- Added 3D sound option *for shotguns* (options -> sound -> tick 3D sound)
- Fixed memoryleak and possible cause of crashes
- Nerfed sniper scope delay from 300ms to 2s

Quest system fixes:
- Fixed magic damage of NPCs
- Anyone may now sacrifice a leveled item in a quest room, not just the master
- Removal of sacrificable quest item drops (e.g. steak, seasoned meat, etc.)

- Reduced HP/AP of Palmpow Bosses
- Fixed zombies dropping items
- Slightly buffed zombies

this is bad, changed delay of snipes..

First of all, snipers were way to overpowered weapons its 2 hits from LONG range and you get a kill.
its so annoying rushing out to get hits a shotgun user gets you down by 30dmg and a sniper 1 hits you.
i say this is a good thing i've always wanted them to be nerfed, its almost logical you nerf them.
but i disagree with the sniper scope delay, i say nerf the damage not the delay.
i hope you consider changing it back but just nerfing the damage, so there would be an actual use for snipers if the scope is that slow its not even useful to keep them in the shop.

Harder to QS now, cause it was abused before the patch.

Why don't you nerf the damage of the snipers instead of the delay it'self
People can't even use it now without getting owned by quick sg rs
remove it from the donation shop there is no need for snipers now

With the magic attacks working again questing got alot harder already, love it. Now how about challenge quest ;D

Should be more balanced instead of buffing it with 3x..
Also the attack work now.

That 100% drop rate is really nice ^_^ And questing is finally back to normal with the magic damage fixed. Still managing to solo fgk, although school quest is a bit difficult for me when sacrificing.

edit - also while the sacrifice button is now there for people who aren't the room master, they aren't able to make use of it.

Just wanted to write a thought in here as to why the sniper scope delay was nerfed rather than the damage. Nerfing the scope delay adds to what the weakness of a sniper SHOULD be, which is that they can't easily re-adjust their aim, especially in close-combat. This makes the weapon more fair in close-combat, but it also provides the counter-play that SHOULD have existed from the beginning where players who are evasive have a good chance of dodging a sniper shot.

If you're still confused: can't enter scope as quickly anymore = harder to readjust aim = more use at a distance = can't easily k-style with them, especially in close range (requires readjusting aim)

I haven't been in-game yet, so I'm not sure how bad 2seconds will hurt. I do think it is in the right direction though. Thank you for the update. I wonder how 3d sound will sound like? O-o

Snipers are finally nefted due to the amount of jealousy. I feel sorry for BillyNguyen he was the first pro sniper in FGunz back in 2010.

Wow! I'm thankful for the quest thingy, but the delay of the snipers! Man... it's so demotivating to play snipers again after this update or FGunZ itself.

Well for me, one of the reasons why I still play FGunZ till now it's just, because I enjoyed the use of Snipers so basically the snipers retained me to play in this server longer. Some oldgens even wondered why I am still online, its because of the Snipers! I've had already long experience with Shotguns so yea that's why.

I feel like I wasted coins for the new Donation Sniper I bought recently, or I regret for buying two pieces of donation snipers now. >_<

If this will be a permanent change, can we get back our coins? I hope you know why a lot of users have bought donation snipers, please don't make them feel regret over it. :( R.I.P snipers. 2s delay is just too long, it's not like we have 100% Aim with snipers, we even need to jump several times, reload serveral times just to win sometimes.

So I hope the old delay will be back, or maybe its time to be more inactive. cheers freestylerscrew.

because theres an MEP that a few editors are participating in it and we need to take our frags for our video.

uhm, the palmpoa commander only seems to have a 100% droprate for ammo/HP/AP to me, did that quest 4 times and it only dropped ammo/HP/AP, just putting this here, please look into it,

Thanks for pointing that out, Prison Palmpow and Mansion Palmpow are both not dropping items - it is fixed in the next patch.

We are aware of this.

Side note: a bunch of reports can't be finished because the older replays don't work with the new client at the moment.

so because you don't have the dedication or patience to improve your aim, you want them to revert nerfing the snipers so you can spam 140 dmg weapons non stop. seems like legitimate argument

agreed, but at least heighten shotgun delay too, it's not like they have any aim at all, they just spam their shotguns all day too :o.o

i agree donors should atleast have 950-1000 delay

Make the sniper delay 300 again , it was fun like that but you change it because SG's players dat QQ about snipers.

Don't know if its related to this update but sometimes in rooms with many people if you rejoin you can see only yourself in the tab menu and if you respawn (either team or no team game) takes a few rejoins to fix but made me miss 3 rounds of fudgeball .-.

That's the AE bug. The host should've not said to rejoin. Staff is aware of this issue, and hopefully it should be fixed soon. ;-;
