Sniper Nerfed , Good decision or Bad ~ Discuss it.

Hello , first i want to start out by saying im not using snipers alot but i did try it yesterday and the 2 seconds is way to much.

i get that snipers can be annoying that you get 2 shotted by them but i can also get that MARKET items get nerfed to 2 seconds zooming delay

People who bought 2 donator snipers and have to do with the same 2 second zooming nerf i think thats unfair.........

1. they bought the snipers with their own real money
2. donators should be untouched with the 2 second zoom delay
3. since the sniper users cannot play with sniper "good" anymore i think the team should run a week time refund for the donation snipers
4. waste of money ( donation snipers)

i'm not supporting the normal zoom delay (300MS) nor am i supporting the ( 2 sec) delay in my opinion i think the donation snipers should be untouched,
And let the people who actually payed for the donation snipers get a refund or those snipers get back to the original state before this update.

I wanted to post this because i see this is unfair for the people who actually payed for donation snipers and ended up with the same 2 second nerf.

If i were you guys i should just make the donation snipers into the normal state that it was before this update and if people want to use better snipers , they should donate to get the "normal" zoom delay.

I think they have full rights to chance their donation items whenever they want to, also the normal items.

I actually think 50% nerf would be alright.

People pay real money for official games all the time, and they don't get refunded either if something is nerfed or buffed or price was lowered.

Good example is League of Legends, people buy champions all the time with RP, and the champions get nerfed and buffed and fluctate in price all the time, don't expect to get a refund though, that's how it works.

if you buy a t-shirt for 20$ in a store, but they change the quality from china to europe and the price will change to $15 but the quality is better, you don't get a refund either.


Don't expect us to refund when we buf/nerf something.
besides, we've refunded a shitload of coins to small changes already, get used to the real world already.

i get that i only made this thread to start a discussion going on about the items i can relate to some people that the snipers actually suck and payed 400 coins in total for 2 snipers which are useless now.

Irregardless, it's still being tweaked but it wont go back and donors will not be able to go quicker.

Keep delay to 2k and add some delay to other weapons, or lower it to 1500 and do not touch the rest.

We didn't refund anything because we didn't break any functionality.
The people decided themselves to quickscope with snipers (and thus basically using them as revolvers but with high damage), quickscoping is not the only way to use snipers.

The scope delay will be lowered, but will not be reverted to its original state.

Everything after adding a second donator sniper recently?

With the 2 seconds scoping delay, what's the point of purchasing 2x donator snipers? The 2nd sniper is now deemed useless, and IMO players with 2x donor snipers should be granted a full refund for 1 of it, or both.

Haven't been around here for a while ^^, might come back and play a few with this update. Snipers cut the pace of the game the way they were.

I don't understand how anyone can misunderstand the concept of "donation item" specifically "donation"...
Folks you're gonna have to find an alternative way of using those snipers.
Donation snipers still exceed any other weapon's damage, saying they're useless is far from true.

Snipers had no place on the front-line. Cheesy 2shot kill QS... Get back behind the SG grunts where you belong.

But ruin snipers cuz no aim sg users started complain...

I understand u guys can ruin the donated items, but this made it useless... what should i do with 2 donated sniper now?

I was on yesterday using snipes and it's not really bad as I thought it would be. But ty for moving it down :$

Man, a lot of people gonna quit fgunz cuz of this update trust me, im in fantasy like best0 snip clan (and i dont snip3) but trust me, do something or regive the money of the new useless snip donor.

i almost exclusively use snipers and i don't think 2sec delay is thatbad, sure its harder but its not unusable. right now they're used a lot as high dmg revolvers, which they aren't supposed to.

snipers are a questionable weapon in gunz in the first place, they weren't in the original gunz and are a difficult weapon to get right the first time. you'd be fooling yourself if you think they were 'fair' before the update. sure, it's not perfect now either but don't expect us to find a sweet spot for delay and dmg so soon. snipers are relatively new compared to all the other weapontypes, so it's unreasonable to think we'd get them balanced to the other weapontypes which people have been experimenting with for a much longer time

I'd love to see snipers lose the ability to RS, or nerf their damage, and have them restored to the old scope timer.

What do you guys think?

you mean the glitchy old scope , well that was fun XD , you can always nerf the damage and lose rs ability and keep it on the same delay as it was before but im not in the FGunz Staff Team Mcsic said he will look into it so i think he or dave or you guys get together and talk about it.

Snipers were overpowered when using quickscoping. Nerfing it was the correct way to go. The scope delay was 300 ms, so using two snipers, it was possible to let off two sniper shots in 600 ms, basically allowing people to kill in close to half a second, from maximum range, which is seriously the most overpowered way to kill someone in the game by far. With the nerf it will push people to maybe use more creative weapon choices, such as one sniper, and another weapon. maybe a revolver, and a sniper, or a shotgun/sniper etc. I think this is a very good idea that is a step to further balancing out weapon choices in pvp.

Also, to the people complaining about donations. Please refer yourself to the image posted by Mike.

Now i can say FGunz SUCK.

Did you think before releasing this update?

Infact im a player who sucks at Shotguns,Rifles,Pistols etc.
The reason i fckin play is because sniping is the most fcking awesome ever which i'm good at.

So if you view this from my point of view ''its like taking a candy away from your child''

And yes alot of people will quit.My friends already have and i'm guessing i'll do the same,
because you took the only thing i loved about this away.

Also sniper is meant for the very few people who are talented at aiming or to people who would like to learn aiming.

sniper nerfing will be a big loss here.

This actually made me cry from laughing, gotta be your best post ever :o.o

Honestly i don't feel much of a difference (might be me but after you fire your sniper just change to your sword, that way you cancel the scope faster than having to wait for the scope to be able to zoom out again).

tbh i like the nerf

Honestly, this promotes proper play in using snipers. They weren't meant for mid-range, not to mention close-range. Be lucky you can still quickscope in general. Just use sniper+spray like back in 2012/13 FG. It worked and it still does.

To people complaining about the sniper nerf, what happens when both my Donator Hotshot and Trident got nerfed?
Nothing. Was I happy? Of course not. But I bought both with my own money just to realize I didn't purchase them, I freely donated my money.
It's a long range OP weapon which was bound to get toned down.

Just tried snipers myself, I'll admit its not perfect, but it does prevent players from mindlessly spamming a 150 damage weapon from halfway across the map hoping for a hit.
The update does the job. As for players who say "what will I do with my second sniper?" you can still use it, except there's no room for QS RS spam abuse, if that's the only thing you're looking
for when you play this game, then this update is perfect for weeding out players like you.

basically people who can't rev so they use snipe as an alternative> whining

as someone who was bothered by the status of snipers pre-nerf, I'm glad this happened. makes snipers a less out-right dumb, punishes sniper misses more, less 2shot rs's, harder in close combat. all good in my eyes, as a sniper should be if it were meant for this game to begin with
