Yesterday, I was able to fix the issue, but only to run into another one.
I clicked "launch" and it started the game. It loaded just fine. When I got to the server selection screen, I typed in my user/pass, clicked on the server, and clicked connect. As soon as I clicked connect, the game force closes and that is all.
I tried again, but this time when I clicked "connect," I got this message.

common issue, install NET Framework 3.5
Have same thing sometimes, just try log in again it would take few times for finally loging. :D about 3 times...
What about... .NET Framework 4?
I thought that 4 was good also but I can be wrong. Also try alt tabbing when you're done loading

I got it to work guys. Thanks. .NET4 works just fine.
I had the same when I installed Microsoft Security Essentials.
I fixed it by disabling the real-time protection of it.
