Quick Question about Ranking lol

Heyo. I'm kinda new to fgunz and all, however I've been in plenty of other servers and stuff, so I always strive to get my rank as an individual player higher. I saw the Ranking on fgunz and I'm not sure how the algorythm is set - is it based more on playtime, KDA, simply kills or what? What to focus on?
I think it would be cool if there was like and elo thing like a rating that judges your position based on kills/deaths + wins/losses on clan wars/other tournaments, etc.
Of course, any change would mean that there will be a reset or something affecting the current top players and stuff, but I think every good game has some rank reset every now and then to freshen things up.
And you could make it seasonal - like every year/ every 3 months and then give the top players of each season some award or badge, etc.
Just my 2 cents. :)

its based on experience. some people spend forever at level 99 questing just to be on that ranking.

It used to be different long ago in V7 - used to be an algorithm based on K/D, Level, Playtime, etc. rather than sole EXP.
Actually we might change it again. We'll discuss this internally.

Could add a second ranking page just based of KDA, with a minimum amount to be in that list (say at least 500 kills or something).

Why not make sorting system like Sort by EXP, KDA, playtime and etc?

Playtime would be rather dull.
But the regular ranking (level > experience) and a KDA (with a minimum required amount if possible) would be nice to begin with.

I would not mind having one for event points or something, heck maybe one for tournaments, where you can earn points for each round or win you earn in a tournament (the more wins, the more points and if you win some bonus points), would be nice to show off some more for our competitive players that like tournaments a lot.


TLDR multiple rankings;

• Rank > level/experience
• KDA
• Event points (non gifted)
• Tournament points

Also keep in mind playtime is not accurate in GunZ as it's a bit buggy.

Then it's even worse. XD
