I had same problmb.. you can fix it easily from task manger.. click Ctrl+Alt+Delete on they keyboard then choose task manger
then click on new task and type explorer with no caps!, then press ok.
Did you reinstall windows or something? Something noteworthy that happened before you ran into this issue?

Actually it said disk error blah blah one time before it happened.
That could mean your OS drive is corrupted, which is very weird considering you do make it to the login screen. You will probably have to reinstall windows if other troubleshooting steps have already failed :(Quote:
