Players who get banned for hacking.

Should lose every tournament item they have, lets be realistic they probably got that item while hacking and shouldnt be allowed to represent a tournament winner with a history like that..

also remove all GM's or ET's or STAFF members who got tournament items just for being a staff..

item lost its value when you see quester et or staff members got it just because their staff..


realistically speaking if its a Tournament Item it should be restricted to Tournament Winners only.

This discussion is going sideways. To put it back on the right path:

As stated Tourney items won't be sent to tournament hosts anymore, that was already agreed on a while ago. They've never been given to staff because they're staff, it's only been given to hosts. The reward for the efforts hosts provide can be given in another form, that I do agree with.

In terms of the Tourney items being removed from hackers accounts, I don't mind, but the number of people with a bad record on this server is outrageous, if we remove the tourney items from all of them and the staff hosters, no one would have any believe me lol. Removing it from hosters, I don't mind that happening, I already mentioned before that it's unfair to Tourney winners and doesn't really make sense for hosts to get them.

yeah well ok good point this is how I like my debates with concrete responses not just random indirect or direct attacks towards me with no baseline or balls

apart from that it still doesnt argue the fact of what my main issue is

1- too many staff with tournament items without deserving it.

Sounds fair to me, didn't seem clear in the main post but yeah this is fair. Although I wouldn't mind removing the items from all previous hosts (including myself) if they didn't win it in a tournament. That's the only addition I would have to this suggestion.

This should also apply to people who sell their accounts with tourney items. Buying/selling is discouraged on FG anyway, so implementing this shouldn't be a problem, right? Makes no sense when anyone but the winners are able to use these items.

ontopic though yeah I do agree..
although the staff hosting the tournaments to get the tourney item was a good incentive to host the tournies as they are a pain in the ass to run, i do belive that it was justifiable in the era of 300+ players... but i do understand as the playercount is not as high as it once was, the smaller the pool for the potential future staff, which results in people who become staff and host the tourney would probably end up with an item.... next thing u know everyone and their grandma has a tourney item

The reason why hosts received the weapons was because arranging and hosting the tournament was not a piece a cake. The amount of work put in to make the tournament work with people being afk or not responding is a pain in a butt. I do realize that the value is lost when hosters receive and I understand that point of view and agree.

Overall, you guys should really thank the previous staff members who put in a lot of effort to make a tournament that had real money, coins, items, etc. Obiviously the 2 previous ones were Ganggbangg and Chef. Thank their hardwork!

I also think hackers should lose any donor item in the account if they hack. Just like other games, when you hack, you lose every skin, donation items, etc in the account and it is not playable. For example: CSGO, if you hack, you get to keep the skins of the guns but you can no longer play with other online people.

I know at least 3 people who have sold or share tourny winning accounts, which really takes away from the value of a tourny winner alongside every other reason listed by Trauma.

I agree wholeheartedly, i've got a tourney item from hosting before but i don't use it because i feel like i don't deserve it.

I feel like hosts should get some kind of compensation for hosting a tourney though, usually its a mess because people suddenly dissapear while they have to do their match.

Only thing i could see being a problem is seperating the people from who won it and who received it for hosting.
For example mike, no one is gonna guess he won a tourney but somehow he did o.O

If we remove it from ex-hosts we don't have to guess tho

I've always stated that hosting doesn't cut it to get an item, and I also agree with the hacker part, generally it's a good suggestion and should be at least partly implemented.

These should be implemented to the ex staff who got torny item due to hosting who don't deserve like rapheal who lost these torny in the very first round.

They should only receive these items if they hosted a tournament, not an event.

Agreed.

Removing tourney items from banned hackers is indeed a good idea.

About staff members who got tourney items just for hosting the tourney, it doesnt really matter if they have them as long as they are still in the staff team, cause they are already got a unique rank so even if they use them won't make any difference, instead, they should remove tourney items from them once they leave the staff team, so it will be fair for other players.
Some staff members get the items for "helping" hosting the tourney when most of the work is done by the main host.

They shouldn't have coins either, lets be real, they contributed for this role knowing that they get nothing for it, all respect for staff members for the time and effort they put to help the server and players, but they already do harder work by hosting events and taking care for reports etc...
So hosting a tourney twice a year wont really matter.

While it is volunteer work, I disagree.

Staff defenitely do deserve some type of rewards. You can stream for coins, so imo staff members should also be rewarded for their time and effort in attempt to make the server a better place as entertaining 10s of players with events must value something. Not sure what the situation is of course, but I do think it's fair for staff to also get some rewards now and then for their work

I think you are all underestimating how much effort and time is being put into hosting tournaments, and what do you get in return? Half the people that signed up act like complete idiots, dont show up for matches, don’t follow the rules, share accounts and so on. Not to mention the money rewards come out of their own pocket, now I personally wouldn’t mind that the items were removed from hosts and/or people that got banned while having them but the least you guys can do is show a lil appreciation lmao.

Regarding players who got banned for hacking: that's one way to do it for those that have hacked in the past.
For the future though: I would like to take it one step further and say that the FGunZ accounts of hackers who've been proven guilty should not be unbanned at all, so they permanently lose access to that account with everything that's on it. Once they're allowed back (after x months) they will have to make a new FGunZ account, so some of them might think twice before repeating that mistake.

Wouldn't chargebacks become a major issue?

Also tournament item held accounts should be follow a similar rule as VIP accounts, if anyone but the tournament winner is found to be playing on X account then items will be removed.

Hackers usally don't donate very often and as Mike said there's a limited time frame for how long you can do a chargeback.

No, there are many logs bound to the account and its characters which should remain present in the database. Without the account the logs will be useless.

I personally like the idea of keeping the accounts locked rather than deleted. As this also locks people out of their characters names. Until character has been inactive long enough

How about we also ban the accounts perma of people who share their accounts with someone who is banned if they were bypassing on that account

So I see the hacker part has been addressed to, what about the second part of the staff and ex staff who have them due to hosting?

and event/game moderator who took the responsibility to host fair and was trusted by admins for years and was demoted for rig should also be stripped of his coins

Strip any ex staff member of their tournament items. Strip any hackers who have been banned for hacking previously and in the future of their tournament items. Also strip it from hosting tournament's nobody gives a ****, Give them coins or anything else as a reward, A golden tournament Sword that stephanM made looks good for it.

Remove crown from the bounty shop and actually make it exclusive holy shit.

Give previous hackers who have been banned for hacking that badge of shame on whatever account they make.

Since the last tournament the host dont get tourney items anymore, so thats already covered. I also agree with you to remove tourney items from ex staff members such as myself. Its nice to have one, but I dont deserve it since I didnt win the tournament myself.

It's pretty insane the same rotation of tournament items are being used in tournaments 5 years later. We should spice things up and add new rewards like a jacket/shotgun for the next tournament.

I remember taking the designs for the tourney items to Zain and he did such a sweet job making them, this server had some talented devs
