I did a few searches and the general advice is restarting the game, that isnt working for me.
Ive tried reinstalling, deleting config file, updating

you still see the players/pings right? it's just that you have force nat?
Yes. players do all appear to have pings, just all the server's ping
Are you by any chance playing on wifi?
Yes. I am playing on wifi, always have been but this issue is recent.
Yeah, happens to me too when I play on wifi. Switching to ethernet cable should do it for you.
