Hanz Suggests a REMAKE of FG

Suggestion: ENTIRE REMAKE


In response to this thread, https://freestylersworld.com/showthr...=1#post1035781 this makes no sense. Why spend time on being close in representation to another server rather than rebalance what we have and make everything PLAYABLE?

In my opinion of playing multiple servers and being in the gunz community(on and off now that i technically quit) for more than a decade, I suggest that we rebalance FG how QG was and you'll regain your population to what it deserves to be. lb and lbx will be 10 dmg(5x5 bullets). all other donor sgs are 9 dmg with 5x6. Those SGS u make with 6 shots rather than 5 should be 6x5 clipped at 9 dmg. (100 fg coins vs 200 fg coins) Without donors, max hp/ap being 120/100. You'll leave everything else the same and donors will make 130/110 or 115. This will bring your skill oriented players BACK and keep them here. Then, you work on the antilead and you have yourself a server youd never have to touch again. Just keep up with updates. GunZ is an old game but a nostalgic one. Mostly everyone logs on to relive their glory days when they were reking anyone they played OR to kill time. All this "cosmetic shop" stuff is nice BUT it draws the main attention away from what GunZ really is. Been out for more than a decade and people lose focus on what it was they truly loved about the game. Comments?

I just wish and HOPE they take our thoughts serious in converting to qg or watchTT because if you ask around that’s what EVERYONE wants in a server... I mean I get the money aspect of it considering but if the server becomes populated again, you get new faces. New faces will want new donors. More players means more cws. Cws equals cw prizes and tournaments that get revenued right back to the server considering there’s stuff like lb and lbx and katana x. Etc.. it’s way more beneficial. Fg has good ideas. Delays at 1000. Donor clothes under regular clothes. Hit box rescaling. Idk... I just.. Wish this would be a deciding factor on a future update ��

There is just a new classic server going in beta, it will probably be too late for fg if this server makes it work.

The only issue is the damage factor of a pb from lb and lbx. 120/100 to my memory needs 225 damage to kill. A pb from lbx is 132 and with having two of them with a clean two shot CURRENTLY (264 damage) can kill a full donor (258 dmg to kill). At 10 dmg it would be 120 for a pb... Everything would be easier if there was only ONE lb but yea.. maybe make lb 4 shots to rework considering there’s 2 of them..

If they priortise Angry Birds head pieces or rng chests where you an get double items (aka cash-grab method), instead of balancing items...

Technically, don't look at this like a remake. Look at this like an adjustment.

I download this game, 5 years ago. it had 600 players online highest. back 2015 it was super fun playing this game cause of lot's of players to play with. but still there are still active players very loyal @ freestyle gunz. why don't admins trys to listen to the community since everyone wants a remake. who knows LOL. We do care, people just don't realize how big of a task it is to "just make a remake".

A different site (because different database and cannot keep itemshop, lucky boxes, etc.), rework the client code/files and rework the server code/files, then we have the necessary testing. And also the entire server will be fresh (re-create your account/characters), no data will be migrated over. Before hand, we cannot know how many people will actually play it, we're not going to waste potentially weeks of our free time if only a small handful of players are going to play it.

Is it possible? For sure.

The only thing this server needs it anti lead as was before in v7 and the sgs with more bullets and lower delay sg.(like in v7)

We don't really have a dedicated coder to make certain changes or fulfill some of these requests. Sure, we can do basic stuff, but when it comes to hitbox changes or anti-lead changes, not really. A code rollback of specific functionality (such as hitboxes) is very tricky, but possible. Our developer team is pretty much non-existent, aside from the skills me and McSic have.

Changes of stats... very easy but it shouldn't screw over the people who paid real money to obtain certain weapons.

You could still ask for some help from the ex devs? If they don't want to help then try the code rollback. In terms of the balancing, i think most of us are okay if the limitbreakers gets nerfed. You need to think that a new player has to spend like 100€ to get these limitbreakers and who wants to spend that for an old game that could die any year. Pay2Win Games are just not that popular anymore, just look at the success of LoL or Fortnite. New players just can't have fun on this game/server without spending money.

Its not about remaking its about re adjusting the shotguns and the hitboxes i dont think it should be that hard

See, I greatly understand the controversy it could bring on a business level when it comes to going through the change just for things to go upside down. The thing is, this has been something we’ve pitched as a community for years but haven’t gotten ANY response from anyone until today Dave. We all want the same thing: to ensure FG’s longevity. But certain things like cosmetic shops are greatly unneeded... It draws attention and precious focus time on something that benefits one side. Granted, what I’m saying is opinionated but if I see it, others do as well. The bottom line of what I’m saying is there’s grace in effort but there hasn’t been any towards what we as a community have pitched even when the staff team was solid.

Well, at least now we know why you've been reluctant to make certain changes—we had no idea you needed other devs to work on the hitbox. So, thank you for finally responding. You were able to rollback the range-based damage system, so is reverting to old hitboxes something you guys can try attempting?

Yeah i Agree mate nice suggestion . It's like PAY to WIN soo all cant win when they cant pay . All of us have a different status in life like rich and poor . Not at all playing here is rich , soo some player pass in Fgunz v7 have already quit because of the economy happening now , cause they cant afford. It's fun playing here but u cant feel it when u cant even touch your enemy who have LB's and Much HP's . That's why please rebalance the game please , like fair for all . TY

If it's "just" this easy, why don't you remake it? That's not how it works bro, takes a lot of time and testing. I can understand the part you saying they should nerf the limitbreakers.

Just play the game as it is and come up with real, normal suggestions, which you could understand if you were coding a lil bit.

i mean admins can go inactive ingame and forums but nothing is done towards that because equality amirite :^)
i was against the idea of letting the server die because i love the game, but after seeing nothing done towards balancing and server hotfixes im just done, i played the past few days on this server and i didnt enjoy it at all lol

for the stats you could just take v7s for the shotguns and possibly make lbx like lower delay then lb to make it more op so people who paid that extra wont feel robbed.. or just make all donor shotguns includin lb same dmg with 1k delay and make lbx like 800 so its actually a big difference also people like the oldschool feel so 1k is perfect

and just work from that.

revert hitboxes cause it really is garbage and too rng right now..

Well whatever you decide to do idm helping out. One thing for sure, don’t bother lowering the delays of sgs. Keep them at 1000. Any lower will become a spam fest. The hitboxes are fine ONLY the factor of between the feet. If you could make the space between the legs hittable again that would be nice. It’s the antilead and how it registers damage that’s the problem. Revert it back to v7 as previously stated. Lb and lbx should be 10 damage, 5 shots, and 1000 delay. Rendering all other Sgs to 9 dmg with 5-6 clip shots staying at 1000 delay. Remove the weight factor for weapons. Hp/ap for a non donor should be 125/100 with rings being deleted. Donors would be 132/110(something like that) so that they have more hp/ap and the range of an increase is almost the same (currently 132-139). I mean this is just an on-the-go suggestion. We'd still be talking about hundreds (or maybe even thousands) of dollars for certain tasks.

The main problem still remains; there's pretty much no GunZ coders left in the scene. Hiring a regular C++ coder who has never worked with GunZ before requires this coder to spent a significant amount of time studying the code first, which no one will do voluntarily at no extra cost.

I think the anti lead is fine, some 0 dmg shots here and there but the same thing happens on another server so I don't think it's something to worry about tbh.
