black bars on the side

if i plug in a second monitor and use that monitor it goes away
unplug it and use the laptop's monitor > black bars on the side

Second monitors adapts to native resolution. Your monitor when connected to the laptop may not support its resolution.

whats a fix for the black bars then?

probably setting both screens to a resolution that they both support?

every single resolution gives me the same result
