Referencing to the above posts and all the other times we've been flamed upon. I appreciate that there are at least some sensible mods on Fgunz but to everyone else..

1. Singapore is not 'BR' country. We are not Brazil. I don't speak Brazilian. Even though there's nothing wrong with that. We are not from China, we don't eat dogs. On occasions where we do spike, such as Kart, it isn't intentionally done to gain an advantage, it just happens due to his wireless router being in the living room. And believe me, Kart hates it as much as you do. He always leaves when he starts spiking, and comes back once he thinks it's been fixed. But it seems like this recent time no chance was given.

Which brings me to 2 points I'd like clarification with, if the mods/devs would please comment on.
- The report section rules doesn't state anything specifically about spiking. Only about intentionally forcing your computer to lag to abuse the anti-lead system.

But since this is what it has come to, then from now on I will be recording every gameplay and taking screenshots every time.

And if I so much as catch you flaming/insulting & spiking (for those who are out to intentionally get us) our country/against me or any of my members/friends, and if you intentionally try to undermine the efforts that they've put, then I will fight back, and I will defend them.

I know this is a game, and that people will start flaming to this thread, but grow up.

Kart had a chance to fix it. I didn't go "OH THERE HE LAGGED, HE LAGGED THERE!!!!" and then warned him. He left twice and came back without fixing. I can see the logic in that he left to try fix it but he didn't and instead he kept playing and killing.

About the spiking, anything that gives you an unfair advantage over others is basically reportable, and in this case it became so. It wasn't "normal" either, it was forced but that doesn't always mean it is intentional.

Well he doesn't really have any control over whether his net will spike or not, and I'm sure that he doesn't even know how to fix it or why it spikes when it does.

Then he should try find a way to fix, like not playing on wireless. It's not my fault if he doesn't know how to fix it, it's just my job to warn him for "abusing".

To my knowledge South America and Asia (and people with a bad connection) fall under the term "br".
This is not just with the game GunZ, but it pops up in many games.

Basically if you cannot really speak English or you have a a high ping to native English speakers they would drop you in that box with the tag "BR" on it.

Internet speed for gaming is largely irrelevant once you get above 5-10 mbs, I expected my ping to drop when I doubled my ISP downstream speeds and tripled my upstream but it turns out nothing actually changed for me. So your 750mbs is pretty worthless for gaming.

I suggest you and everyone else check into how much bufferbloat you have and how to reduce it, because thats the major cause of erratic pings like what your clan constantly has. http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest

As i state on my report I've played multiple servers with lots of BRs,Chinese,Singaporeans,Koreans and other nationalities that are far away from Europe. Never had the issue I have with you guys. Your moves are hella glitchy and you are spiking from 175( your normal ping[tested with other Singaporeans as well in other servers]) to 240-250 ping.

Actually, I haven't had much people really tell me that I spike, other than the usual people that plain dislike us. And friends of mine who are NOT from Singapore, and has never received any such negative flames before on their main, get insulted and flamed upon about spike and lag the moment they're in my clan. Like they receive a lot more hate and accusations. You can't honestly tell me that the hate and negative views on my clan has nothing to do with it.

Huh I didnt expect you to have to pay for just to test it but bufferbloat is relatively easy to solve, provided you can get into your router settings and your ISP doesnt lock you out. The jumps in pings from 20-50 like what the users are complaining about are due to the inconsistent speed of your latency. You can reduce the gap by adding a cap to your speeds and reach a stable connection that doesnt jump all over the place. It typically doesnt take much to fix bufferbloat, just capping 3-10% of the bandwidth will stablize it.

Bad Wifi connections shouldnt be tolerable for gaming, so if your clanmate has a poor wifi router he should look into getting either a better router, or an ISP that has better connection infrastructure for the nodes so he can improve the signal. But really the best and simplest solution is that he should be on a wired connection like everyone else, bad wifi users getting shit on is nothing new and has happened since igunz 2004, theres no reason it should get accepted.

That information was useful. Will see if it helps. I think I'm unable to test it as the Internet speed seems to exceed their test limit. Or at least their "free" version.

Yeah we're trying to see if anything can be done for him. I use a wired connection as well cause my modem is right beside me xD. But not sure if he's able to fix an lan cable all the way to his router. Sigh.

Nice yeah, you have minimal jitters.

However you should test it more than once, at different days and different times. The network may get congested and give you a different read out. Time Warner Cable in the US is getting sued right now by New York state because of this sort of thing, they cant back up their claimed speeds that they charge for, so it's only at claimed speed when no ones online at the middle of the night or ungodly hours of the morning, but once people are home from work the service tanks.

I dont know what ISP you have but the website has this as well, if you cant actually get any better bufferbloat by tweaking your settings you can shop around or get an average for the service. AT&T is a good example in the US of a very fast gigabit network but very sloppy accuracy with huge bufferbloat.

Get to tweakin, you can do better. You will usually find this in the QoS (Quality of Service) section of your router.
Here's an example https://www.asus.com/us/support/FAQ/1008718/

Check router firmware as well, it may have been added or improved. Many firmware updates to routers help with jitter.

I was actually talking with Kart and some of your clan members like Lart. We even cwed together on another server and played together there. I never had an issue with you guys till some of your members start trashtalking after I told them they were spiking. I mean some of them obviously have some issues ex.: Gart. You think we care that much that when we lose on TDMs we would faulesy accuse you?
Also if you want this descrimination against your clan maybe you should hold back some of your members. Spamming and trashtalking with counterpart wont help you. I'm talking about Cleave, SeedGF, Phone, etc.

They talk shit because they thought that their internet was perfect, that 1gbs could do nothing wrong. So they would chalk it up to an excuse. A lot of it comes down to ignorance and denial because they dont know any better. bufferbloat isnt that well known so I could understand their situation, ive seen it before. I looked into Seed's ISP he posted on page 1 and StarHub generally has trashy results for bufferbloat. It's not unsolvable but the starting settings for the router are garbage, leading to spike central. @THREAD: I get your point but this will always be an issue with GunZ and plenty of other games.
This is the shitty nature we humans have, and we have to deal with it.

The only advice I can give you is to either;

1. Report the people for racism and let the Game Moderators handle it
2. Use the /ignore function in the game
3. Grow a pair and ignore the shitty words and think of happy hippie things

I know you want to raise some awareness for thing but look at the comments people give you, they hardly to no shits about this issue/rant.
This does not only apply to your country but to many, this is too much of an issue for the server to handle if you look at the player rate, if they would ban or mute each and every person for such a comment as 'BR' the server would die out within the month.

It sucks but it's just a take it like a man and deal with it, harsh words can make you stronger.

Okay.
At first I looked at your connection as the best possible, but actually if you have a Quality of B that's potentially worse than Seed's position.

Quality in the test determines packet loss. A packet loss of B isnt horrendous but any is bad, the standard is usually no packetloss with Quality A+. In GunZ packet loss means the server may not receive the information on damage. So your shots may miss even if they are supposed to hit, or you may not be hit if someone decides to shoot you because the packet on your location to the server wasnt sent properly. Packet loss will essentially break FG's anti-lead code and hits wont register.

Additionally packet loss will likely cause teleporting like others have commented on ITT, because the player location packet would be failing to update, causing a gap in updating on GunZ and when the new packet is sent and updated the player will appear to teleport and pop into a new location.

In internet gaming the most important are these three:
1. Packet loss (Quality)
2. A consistent connection (Wired > Wifi > Satellite)
3. Jitter (Bufferbloat)

Speed (Fiber > Cable > DSL > Dialup) only matters once you get above Dialup and DSL.

If you have less than A+ in Quality then your physical lines may have noise in them, so you may want to get a service check up from your ISP.

It's about noise:signal. If you have too much noise in the line then the signal is lost and the packets arent sent, and have to be resent more than once. For browsing on the Internet packetloss isnt as problematic or noticeable but for gaming it's detrimental because GunZ isnt going to keep sending the last damage and last location data repeatedly, only the current ones.

So I've done a break down on 3 of your clanmates so far, and every one of them has bad connection issues of different kinds, I've given you all of the info relevant about it and how to fix it. From here everything is on your clanmates, you can all do the tests and see how you do. It's not your fault on the cards you were dealt but if no one even tries to fix the issues now its inexcusable and they deserve everything they get because its obvious that it is not just "racism" "excuses" or "distance ping"

I hope you all fix your issues so everyone can get a better experience and the reports on forcelag would probably end.
I've dealt with all 4 issues myself, sometimes you can fix it on your own by tweaking and sometimes you have to yell at your ISP to give you better service.

It's just a game if you're insulted ignore them.

With a failed report in the above thread after submitting 5 names, you throw in more "evidences" and accusations and oh wow, one of like the almost 10 names you submitted were spiking and got warned. And you felt like you won the lottery cause you were literally reporting everyone from sfc and praying that one of them goes through. And please notice linzor said " ALL FINE" except kart after round 6.

The only reason the report got declined is that I didnt provide evidence that I informed them that they were spiking. The only guy i informed was Kart and he got a warning.
You can also see Seed ,Lart actually trying to solve their issue and that their net isnt top quality.

People weren't so salty and petty that they would get worked up so easily. I mean wouldn't you want to try and retain any amount of players with this already declining player base?

If you keep reporting everyone you see who happens to spike you'll be left with maybe half of the active players? And it's not like we've never played with people spiking before, we just never bothered to go through the trouble of reporting each person we see. When I get killed by some teleporting guy I'll just react with my usual "WOTFOK? Fk dis shunpo" and then be done with it, as anyone who has played with me would know.

If you have a typical router just turn QoS on and set your upload and download speed limit somewhere between 85% to 95% of it's max.

I doubt hardly any of you have custom firmware on your routers but if you do have one like dd-wrt you can do it more specific. Just enable QoS, select HTB as your packet scheduler and FQ_CODEL as the queuing discipline, then limit your download and upload speed. Nothing else to really say in this thread, that's the basics of what you can do.

Mods are just as ignorant on the issue if even more so than the SFC members honestly. Linzor already said that if it looks like its intentional spiking then he has to follow the QC of the server and warn them like with Kart.

Lousy excuse. Maybe not all of us have A+ on everything, and most have a high bufferbloat because of the ignorance to it but you can take measures to solve it yourself. Excuse you, the more players have a bad connection the more it drags the game down for everyone else. I'm guessing you never played during igunz when this was very prevalent. Players would always rather play with a few people who have a good gonnection than 100 others with a bad one. BR and SG has always polluted GunZ with excessively high pings and just bad connection issues all around beyond "distance".

Like it's already been said, Koreans were not nearly as laggy and Europeans rarely ever have these issues, while pinoys or brazil, israel was typically worse. FG admins have decided to make bad connections reportable unlike other serveers and the users are utilizing the system as intended, that's a good thing because it means they care about how much gameplay is an enjoyable experience for the users in line with the standards they set.

All you're doing is doubling down on how there is nothing you can do and we should all just accept and be happy about laggy players dragging the game down because its 1 more player on the server. There's always a solution, you're just not willing to look and actually put in any effort.

Per your last question.
ISPs have to go through multiple nodes to ping another player and the more nodes you go through the more chances it has to screw up. By default players in the same general area are going to have less of an issue with eachother because theres less red-tape to go through before reaching another player. When the connection route fails completely on pinging all the nodes you would get 999 ping to someone before NAT was introduced. Instead of a complete failure, you may get a weaker connection after all of the pinging across nodes on the other side of the world, but that is ontop of your connection issues you already have

And you can have your ISPs fix poor routing as well, I've had a friend in the US get 80-90 ping to me due to poor route of the ping, but they called their ISP and the player dropped to 40 ping as which was their normal. Stop being lazy and start looking into how to get a better connection to everyone.

around 5mb up and down is fine for GunZ.

A big upload is only going to help if you are hosting a server which is different than just hosting a room, If you played the trainwreck of GunZ 2 that would make the player the host, so upload speeds would tank the experience for everyone else. But since FG hosts everything and we all connect to their dedicated server then that's largely irrelevant. People have gamed online with 1mbs with no issue, the amount of data demanded is really minimal in gaming. You should get by fine on 5mbs on XBOX Live too, provided you dont have high bufferbloat which will reduce the efficiency.



Pinging a server for a speedtest is only as informative as how close you are to the actual server thats being pinged, which is not very useful information. Thats why Silent liked using the one that pings around the world and gives an average read out.

These 2 were from the 4 screenshots. And to be fair, the others were not considered as there were too little screen shots.

I had watched about 20 rounds to realise that it is a waste of time. I dont even know how he felt that it is report-worthy.

And, usually without the problematic few, garden rooms would be peaceful and fun (and I am talking about up to 28/32 pax. ASSUMING 14 are SFCs, I dont think the other 14 are retards that do not voice out when there are spikes or whatever nonsense.)

Additionally, I am not saying anyone without an A/A+ bufferbloat shouldn't try to improve it. But rather, if their pings and movements are good, with no major ping spikes or spiky movements, they should be good to go. IF this game were to only allow players with stellar bufferbloat, I am afraid there wouldn't be many players left(And i believe this applies to NA/EU as well).

Lastly, there is a report section in this forum. Players should report LEGIT spikes/forcelag and NOT resort to childish flames and insults(They should know who they are).

I was following cause it was entertaining, but I wouldn't so much so that I'd be watching about 20 rounds of pings for multiple players. Keeping in mind that the replay would have to be watched the number of times per the number of people that you chose to monitor the pings of to ensure that their was no irregular changes to be called out on.
