Challenge Quest Testing and VIPs

Hi everyone,

Some of you may be wondering what the test server is for, or why it's on the list. Well, here's your answer: It's a way for us to rapidly test Challenge Quest in a live environment.

What is challenge quest? It's the 'holy grail' of GunZ Questing and was made by MAIET in late 2012 to early 2013. It's designed to have intelligent AI that beats the crap out of you.

We've (mostly Jetman82 and one of his friends) been working hard on polishing Challenge Quest based on the early work MAIET had done on it. As a result, this mode will be rudimentary at most, and a lot of it will not be working. We'd at least like to give you a preview of the mode, and we're announcing that we will allow VIP Rank FreeStylers to enter our test server and test out the new mode before it goes live.

Oh, and remember that Late Join quest stuff that I wrote? It now works in Challenge Quest as well.

Challenge Quest has reduced EXP for the time being until it is removed from the testing environment. If this goes well, we intend to do our own custom Challenge Quest maps.

We hope to see our VIP Members testing this mode and if you have any feedback or suggestions you may leave it on this blogpost. For everyone else, we hope you enjoy this mode when it goes LIVE at a later date.

The test center also contains a bunch of performance tweaks. As such, the test client will not work on Windows XP and lower. We apologize but there is no workaround for this at this time and we do not intend to push this to the live servers as many players depend on XP still.
