FGunZ UPDATE / 29 OCT 2017 / HAPPY HALLOWEEN

29 OCT 2017 - UPDATE

A patch has been applied today.

- Increased bounty rates for all game modes (kills, wins, etc.)
- Increased bounty for quest, challenge quest and survival
- Increased exp for survival
- Decreased prices of bounty items in the shop
- Decreased prices of quest items in the shop
- You can now sell bounty gems (and upgraded bounty gems) back to the shop
- Reduced reload time of Light/Heavy Revolvers and Dual Revolvers
- Reduced reload time of Light/Heavy MGs and Dual MGs (aka Ownages)
- Added 1-Hit-Kill and 2-Hit-Kill Grenades to the bounty shop
- Temporarily disabled quest latejoin (not CQ) because it would cause issues
- Fixed various JJang bugs (such as disappearing JJangs)
- Fixed CQ drops sometimes not appearing in inventory until you relog
- Added Exclusive Twitch Rewards for FGunZ Streamers
- Disabled screen shake effects per default, they can be enabled via options (Video III)
- Increased max friends from 20 to 100
- New High-End Drops for Scrider

To celebrate this special event we have doubled the EXP you get when playing on the Halloween Town map!
That means 200% EXP when playing Halloween Town!

This event will end in approximately 7 days. Enjoy!

- Fix 2 server crashes
- Another attempt at fixing the launcher update problem (system.fgz3)
- Changed NAT code in an attempt to fix server lag
- Fixed excessive BP in CQ (it was related to a bug in the code)
- Increased accuracy of Light and Heavy Revolvers and Dual Revolvers
- Increased accuracy of Light and Heavy SMGs and Dual SMGs
- Slightly increased accuracy of Heavy Rifles
- Fixed Superflip textures (thanks to StephanM)
- Decreased delay of MagicFire launcher for events
- Decreased damage of Admin Dualdagger for events (999 -> 50)
- Re-added Delta and Nagrand-Underground for events (with new textures to greatly reduce file size)

- Fixed player crash when joining a room
- Fixed server crash
- CQ/Quest drops are now randomly given to 1 player if not picked up by anyone
- Fixed CQ drops not showing up correctly in inventory
- Fixed CQ exp on endscreen
- Added experimental D3D9EX feature (Windows Vista and above only (7 / 8 / 8.1 / 10))
(You can find it at Options -> Misc II, reduces RAM usage and fixes alt-tab crashes)

Thanks for bringing back 1-hit and 2-hit nades. However, they are pretty much useless without extreme weight rings since we can't carry 2 guns, or even two of the nades.

You can carry both nades and a sword without issues. More if you use 2 weight rings.

So I assume shotgun status won't be returned to it's original state, right?

& what about tourney items re-balance to be equal with them lucky box legendary stuff ?

Thanks though, don't forget updating the site with the latest client to soften launcher problems.

I am using the Cat in the Hat + 2 weight rings. All I can carry is 1 nade and a sword.
So now the idea is to disallow people from carrying any 2 weapons + 2 nades or 2 nades + 1 item?

+ Scrider's Weight Ring x2 = 100/120
+ Jacket (10 w.) + Pants (10 w.) = 120/120 w. with 110 HP 42 AP.

That's without cat in the hat or donation items.

With Cat in the Hat and 2x Lvl 80 Weight rings that's 126 max weight with 115 HP and 63 AP.

Oh I forgot you have more HP/AP if you use donation clothes instead of bounty clothes.

A single lvl 50 heavy revolver (8 w) already deals 45-33 damage.

It's not just about damage—not everyone uses pistols/revs or are comfortable with them. Shouldn't we be able to use any combination of weapons and items as per our preferences? Sacrificing hp/ap for it is reasonable.

You can always skip clothes and/or the melee weapon to use rifles or even machine guns. We still want them to be somewhat balanced. :P

People generally like the original private server meta, without the bounty system, gems, upgrades, weird recoil/spread, and shakes, great update, I hope some players return. :)

Just tested in game.
Massives on melees are clear again and the extremely ugly screen "ripple" from firing the guns is gone.

I still dont see the recoil as necessary, but thanks for listening to the concerns over the shake. I expected there was some sort of cross-wiring in the code giving the sword a recoil value like guns, but you were right they are separate.

Talking here for pure quester, they are rare, but I spotted some of them (0/0/0%).

Checked the bounty, it's OK now, so thanks. Survival not checked, only idiots played survival bef4, no xp, no bp, takes at least one hour (except you are hacker, the best i got on my own was round 57 with 3 skilled questers at ijji, players dc'ed). Suggestion: Reduce it to 50 rounds or remove it.

Very welcome, increases my bp (which I dont need, no pure quester needs bounty at least not for gems).

It doesnt matter if a reload time is 6500 ms or 4800 ms now (or even less with gems, just with imaginary with prem gems probably 10%, results still in 4320ms). It seems to be good for balancing your increased reload times, but what told me my clannies: Don't reload. Learn to switch from gun to ammo pack when ammo gets less to 10 bullets, keep left mouse button pressed, press 4, press 2, takes less than 4000 ms, trust me or learn the reload shot.

Pretty welcome, but 1-Hit is for questers only useful at cq4 and surprise: The drops changed, only shit now (during v7 you got the best melee here, the best guns here and now be happy with Hotshots and SMGs).

Instead of fixing bugs of V8(never saw that bug in V7) you disable? Another pserver did that too with the portal bug they introduced, there is now no portal anymore (dont play there anymore, although they have some more active players). OK, "temporarily", hope you fix it soon.

Didn't played enough to get all of them, but here are the current stats (instead of rifles you now get MG's and nades, just a raw print, full table will follow):

Act 9: Nico MG-K11 x2, Incinerator MG, Avalanche MG, 2-Hit Kill, Nico MG-K11, Scrider's Magazine Satchel, (probably, didnt get one until now) Scrider's Weight Ring, ...

All in all it is the best update so far, just fear it comes too late (logon screen at 9:00 am [GMT+1] 40 players).

loved that you finally did something with the friendlist limitation.
you could have included a factor of needing to buy expansions but, setting it to 100 is even better. thanks for the update and for listening to players concerns regarding screen shake, reduced bounty and everything else.

Tried to let my friend join a 6/6 room so I leave, but rejoining gives me room is full. GG

Edit: This was caused by using the VIP-Link account on v8's webpage. I tested linking it to another account a week ago and it only effected me now on my main account but it was so delayed on the change I thought the system was broken until I logged onto the dashboard and saw my main acc didnt have VIP.

Weight will be removed from gems in the next update - so all gems have 0 weight. Weight will also be removed from various training weapons such as training dagger and training sword.
