* PLEASE READ THE RULES CAREFULLY AND MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND THEM *

These are the rules that the Freestyle GunZ Staff / Community
expect you to respect and follow whenever you play on a Freestyle GunZ server.
Failure to follow the rules will result in punishment, including being banned from Freestyle GunZ Servers
and excluded from our Community. This is a living document, rules and regulations
are updated and changed as required, please check the rules on a regular basis.

Not knowing the rules or failure to read the rules does not excuse
you from any punishment if you break any of them. Freestyler's Staff
reserve the right to temporarily or permanently ban anyone in violation
of any of Freestyle GunZ or Freestyler's World's rules.

General

• Respect the Staff and your fellow players.
  This is a game, everyone plays here to have fun, please try to make Freestyle GunZ a fun experience for all members of our Community
• Cheating to gain an unfair advantage by using third party programs, exploiting the client, game mechanics, the database, or other bugs are strictly forbidden and will not be tolerated.
• If you find a bug that gives players an unfair advantage, please immediately report the issue to Freestyle GunZ Staff so that it can be fixed.
• Threatening Freestyler's Crew, the Server, Forums, Staff or Players is a Bannable Offense. We don't take this lightly.
• Rules regarding account/item/service trading/sharing/gifting can be found here
• Harassing Freestyle GunZ Staff or other players is not tolerated.
• Donator's help keep Freestyler's World and its servers operational. Verbal Harassment/Flaming of these people is inappropriate if it be the Forums or in-game.
  We will not tolerate this as these people deserve the same respect as any other player.
• Freestyle GunZ and Freestyler's World Staff will never ask for your in-game account details, including your password, do not give these out.
• You are responsible for all actions taken on your account, do not lend or give your account or account details to anyone else.
• Sharing private information of other people is highly forbidden. (Including but not limited to passwords and IP addresses.)
• Adding Crew members to any instant messaging service is a privilege. Do not abuse this privilege by asking or requesting for staff positions, items, or any type of modification to your game character.
• Do NOT request hacks on here, or anywhere else for any game of any kind, ESPECIALLY for our server. If we find out you have done so, you will be permanently banned on the spot.
• You will not make use of a proxy, VPN or any other software which hides your IP address.

In-game Chat and Conduct
It is forbidden to do any of the following on any Public Chat or Say Channel in-game:

• Using swear words or other inappropriate language, remember we have young players on here too.
• Racial and sexual abuse, slurs and inappropriate comments are strictly forbidden.
• Spamming (undesired, unsolicited bulk messages, repeating the same word or sentence many times to get attention or to interfere with normal operations)
• Flaming (messages that are deliberately hostile and insulting)
• Faking tag (or other tags not suitable for players)
• Asking or begging GMs for free stuff.
• Asking or begging other players for free stuff - do NOT beg anyone for things.
• Using any language other than English when speaking to a staff member. (If you do not speak any English then try to find someone to help translate)
• Talking about or sharing any type of cheat or exploit.
• Spamming or continuous discussions about cheaters, take a Screen Shot and report them.
• Settling disputes in open areas.
• General inappropriate religious, racial, nonsense, inappropriate humor, spam or garbage conversations which the entire server does not have interest in and should not need to hear.
• Provoking people.
• Advertising and posting links to other servers with no advertising intended.

Penalties for breaking these rules include being Muted, Kicked, Warned, Suspended or Banned from Freestyle GunZ servers, subject to reasonable GM
discretion.


Game Play
The following are all forbidden on our servers:

• Exploiting bugs or cheating of any kind to gain an unfair advantage in the game.
• Killing a player for "free" several times. (Swapping)
• AFKing in Capture The Flag rooms to gain experience without doing anything
• File editing, this involves editing certain files on our servers which enables exploits.
• Using and/or sharing third-party programs that give you an unreasonable advantage over other players
• All Character names must comply with the Character Name Policy
• Clan names that do not comply with the same Character Name Policy
• Clan and character names that suggest a connection with the Staff at any level (particularly GM)
• Any cheat, method or way to attempt to increase or bug your or your weapon,item etc. damage.
• Any cheat, method or way to attempt to increase or bug your or your Hit Points, AP Points or other stats.
• Exploiting game mechanics to make monsters not attack you.
• Making yourself unable to be attacked when you should be.
• Using macros to spam attacks,moves,etc.
• Impersonating staff.

Doing so can result into a character reset, warning and eventually a ban.

Hi everyone, this thread is going to go over the bigger changes to some of the in-game rules here at Freestylers World.

There are a few big changes to rules that people break the most, such as force lagging, spamming, and flaming/racism.

A big update to the punishment system is that there is a limit of FOUR warning removals per account. If you have already bought four warning removals, then you will no longer be able to purchase warning removals.

Here are the new stances on some of the rules we have changed.

Flaming and Racism:

• 1st Offence: 24-48 hour mute + an optional warning left to the discretion of the GM dealing with the report (based on severity of the context in the report).
• 2nd Offence: 48-120 hour mute + warning (no matter how tiny the racism/flaming is, second offence is a warning).
• 3rd Offence: 120-240 hour mute + two warnings.

Spamming: Mute

Spamming is basically when an individual will constantly repeat the same sentences time and time again within a given amount of time

Punishments for spamming should typically be given when a user repeats the same sentence 4 times or more

Players will commonly try to avoid being muted by keeping under the bar that has been set by only spamming up to 3 - 4 lines; However, if multiple pieces of evidence are presented where the user is constantly saying the same thing over again (possibly 3-4 lines) then you are permitted to carry out the appropriate punishment as it would be classed as spamming.

If a user is spamming two to three lines of a macro or gibberish (IE: K@@@@@@@@@@@@@@K or a rainbow macro) more than once, that user is subject to a mute. If a user spams the rainbow BR army macro twice and waits a few seconds and spams it again, and they get reported, they deserve a mute.

Also, when dealing with spammers, always look at their history such as any previous offences which relate to spamming, not only on their active account but also on other accounts that match up with their IP/HWID and then take action accordingly whilst using any past offences as support.

Force lagging :

• 1st Offence: One warning.
• 2nd Offence: Two warnings.
• 3rd Offence: Two warnings, and if the user has removed warnings with the removal option via coins and this doesn't set them over the ban limit, a 3 day temporary ban should be issued.

There's a very large difference between actually force-lagging and having network issues, although they do co-exist within each other. A user would be considered to be force-lagging when they are using their network issues or intentionally creating network issues (possibly by having a torrent running in the background or other downloads/possible software) in an attempt at gaining an advantage over other players by doing so. Players can gain an unfair advantage by force-lagging by taking on the role of a "tank" in CW's especially where they will constantly keep eyes focussed on them whilst the other takes the latter down.

This also means that playing in a clan war or a duel tournament with a bad connection IS PUNISHABLE.

When dealing with force-lagging reports; ensure to investigate the issue to its very core and then make a decision

Effort to scam accounts : No longer our concern, unless the user has an extremely large amount of proof and it happened IN GAME. Read under here for further information.

If a player is asking for personal details such as passwords, secret questions/answers to accounts, typically in exchange for something that the individual would like; in most cases these are in fact scam attempts.

Depending on the severity, appropriate actions should be taken. If someone is continuously harassing someone for their information or details then they can receive a warning, mute, and potentially a temporary ban.

If a player's account was hijacked due to this, the option of banning the player is available to you.

If the individual is merely just constantly going around trying to scam people, you are permitted to mute the individual's accounts.

Be sure to monitor scammers by checking through their mute/warning logs on every account that they have on the same IP/HWID. Once the mutes have stacked up to 4 mutes in total for the same offence (including other accounts on the same IP) you are granted permission to ban the player with the appropriate amount of evidence. Ensure that the evidence (The 4 mutes) are still intact and not removed. If there is a single piece of evidence that no longer exists; it cannot be used.

Fake Events : No action taken, player hosted events are entirely up to the users who enter them AT THEIR OWN RISK.

If a user hosts a player event and no one gets the rewards/prizes that he 'promised' we are not to do anything, as player events are held/joined at their own risk.

Begging : 24 hour mute for first offence, 48 hour mute for the second offence, and a warning + temporary ban on the third attempt.

You do NOT have to give a verbal warning to beggars, it is part of the rules of the server and every user should know about them.

A new function that we as GM's have is the ability to temporarily ban users. Temporary bans will come in effect whenever a GM or Admin feels like you deserve one. These can happen at any time, and we will gladly provide proof and a back story as to why you get temporarily banned if you do. This will more than likely only happen in extreme cases of flaming/harassment or if you are flaming/harassing staff members.

There are a few changes to UC/OC/SB/Force Lagg reports as well. We do NOT require screenshots for SB reports.
We will REQUIRE 4 screenshots of a users ping in any other report, be it UC/OC/Force Lagg. The replays for these reports need to be at LEAST 6 rounds of replay, or 3 rounds in a clan war. The more replays, the better.

New addition:

• You will not make use of a proxy, VPN or any other software/way which hides your IP address.

In case you do want to use a VPN, you must PM me about this and include a legitimate reason.
Punishment can vary from an account warning to a ban.
