FGunZ Trailer Competition 2018 [Win $100 USD]

Hello Freestylers and welcome to the Freestyle GunZ Trailer Competition 2018!

In this competition you will be showing off your editing capabilities and your in-game skills.
To enter this competition you are required to create a trailer for Freestyle GunZ that will impress us all.

You do not have to be a professional editor in order to participate! There are prizes listed below for participation as well so please feel free to create your own trailer!

As a tip, a trailer shows the variety of things the game offers from weaponry to game modes to play styles, sure you need to show skilful gameplay but not just in one play style.

You are not allowed to use any different server replays/frags, all replays must be strictly from Freestyle GunZ Version 8

No old edits/entries from previous competitions

No troll edits/entries that don't show any gameplay

Your edit requires a minimum of 60 seconds in length

You may use whatever genre of music you want to

No spamming/wishing good luck to people, if you like an entry, thank the post

Entries are to be preferably uploaded to Youtube

Using [ video ] (URL) [/video] tags would make it helpful for the community to watch your trailer on the webpage

Because #1 is the winner, it's actually going to be used, it'll be featured on the site, it's there to stay. While #2 and #3 are given prizes solely for the competition itself.

Is there any particular reason the v7 trailer isn't used for v8?
The v7 trailer should've been added to the thread as an example from the get go imo

Would be nice if someone included all aspects of Gunz to make it an attractive trailer. Things such as:

- More team play (over 1v1 frags)
- Assassination mode*
- More of CTF*
- Infected mode*
- FPS mode*
- Sniping*
- Special weapons like Giant swords and elements
- Wireframe mode in RTD
- Animations (taunt, dance, bow, cry)
- Skill maps/Superflip challenges (for example: v1 and v3 look like mazes)
- Clips from maps like Ruin, High Haven, Station, Halloween Town, and Citadel (extremely well done maps over basic/uninteresting stuff like Town)
- More stuff from non-cw/unofficial maps (The Office, CS Assault, Cybersports)
- Clips from the Race/Deathrace and Dodgeball events.
- Boss party (quest with several bosses spawned at the same time)
- Challenge quests (especially the Test Room robot quests) and maybe a frame like this from Scrider.
- Clips of staff members shooting several players with their fancy electric/poison/flame rockets in AA training rooms (in good/large maps like The Office, Dungeon, etc)

* familiar elements from other games that might tempt new players to try Gunz due to its unique gameplay style.

Just some ideas for anyone that cares.

Don’t know, and it wasn’t in the thread because I didn’t have access to it. You still have over 20 days to edit your trailer as much as you want.

i'd call this fgunz trainer not a trailer

I mean, it's a very-well put together video, but I wouldn't say it's a trailer.

a trailer should be: what fgunz offers, the clothing, maps, the activities you can do at fgunz, the community (events, funny clips, colorful maps, custom things fgunz offers). The action is just to ignite the feeling to also frag at fg, a trailer isn't slowed down footage of maps, nor frags. It must be a well put together marketing scheme to convince the viewer that the product is good enough to try out but then the product itself must be good enough to keep the player hooked.

Look at your trailer from a perspective of the viewer, would you want to join that server after watching your trailer, if it feels like something is missing, what is it? Look at the V7 trailer chef posted (https://player.vimeo.com/video/116441622), you can see that the trailer showcases what fgunz offers, what gamemodes, it shows the community, it shows how much fun a player can have at fgunz, after watching the V7 trailer back in 2014, I instantly downloaded fgunz and got hooked, that's the magic of a good trailer, that trailer made me WANT to experience what was happening in the trailer.

If you mean the V7 Trailer by Kageyami then I agree, but it's not even being used. With all due respect to the current entries, none of them have really shown the quality that Kageyami showed in his trailer.

It took me 2 hours or even less and I did handle reports at that same day after I was done editing I was waiting for the last day to post it and tbh idk why...

To all that want to enter and improve their trailer.

Take a look at the trailer MAIET made (mostly what got me into the game after a friend showed it to me).

You can also take a look at previous trailers like the V7 one from Kageyami, though I still think it had too many 1v1 slomo's instead of a few more clips from other modes (do not put every single mode in it but a few of each type; quest, survival, TDM, duel and so on).


Just sit back and write down what comes up in your mind when you think about Freestyle Gunz, is it just the duels? The team play? Lobby chillings? Forum fridays?



Bonus tip: Do not enter if you cannot render at least 720P on Youtube (1080 should be a core requirement) & try to keep it under 2 minutes.
