which is better? galaxy s7 or lg g5?

Neither, both are usually overpriced but specifically now maybe their prices are somewhat fair, LG5 has the best proven camera.
Personally, I'd go with OP3T, this device has the best value to price ratio.
(while the price is significantly lower than the two you've mentioned)
