FGunZ Update // 05 MAY 2021

FGUNZ UPDATE // 05 MAY 2021

Game:

• Modernized launcher
• Modernized UI, login and changed login map (Ship of Port)
• Added Archetype V2 option (a much cleaner variant of Archetype) [Options -> Video -> [II] -> Archetype V2)
• Added gold/silver/bronze frames in clan channels for top 3 clans
• Added weapon damage/weapon delay at the bottom right corner of the combat UI
• Improved team hp/ap info / character names on left side and above heads
• Fixed sound bug which caused you to not hear sounds more than 10-15m away
• Updated swearing filter
• Updated event info
• /suicide command only works in Training/Team Training/Skillmap Mode now
• You can no longer /suicide if you're "It" or carry the bomb
• Added "Limited TP" mod for events
• Added clan co-leader functionality (co-leaders can do anything the leader can do, except for kicking the leader)
• Fixed bug regarding kill EXP showing extremely low values (like 150 exp for a kill instead of 50000)
• Added bonus EXP in duels depending on streak length + amount of players in the room (+5% per kill, +10% per player)
• Fixed colors of small letters (^a - ^z)
• Added password pasting at login
• Added Replay Guide (hold R while viewing replays)
• Added Replay Zoom (hold O or P)
• Added Replay Wireframe/X-Ray toggle (press X)

Items:

• Added high damage small clip avenger-type shotguns with 3 clip [SH] (10 ~ 11 damage) and 2 clip [SSH] (11 ~ 12 damage), for this we have created and added 20+ new shotguns
• Decreased delay of [H] shotguns to be equal to [S] shotguns (950 ~ 1100)
• Decreased weight of [H] pistols (single: 7 -> 6 / dual: 14 -> 12)
• Decreased weight of all SMGs ([L] single: 12 -> 7 / [H] single: 15 -> 8 / [L] dual: 24 -> 14 / [H] dual: 30 -> 16)
• Decreased reload time of all rocket
• and grenadelaunchers (2.2 ~ 2.7 sec -> 2 ~ 2.1 sec)
• Decreased weight of all rocket
• and grenadelaunchers (25 ~ 30 -> 20 ~ 25)
• Increased total ammo of all rocket
• and grenadelaunchers (4x4 / 6x4 -> 4x5 / 6x5)
• Removed dual shotguns (x2) because they did not have a real purpose and weren't used anyway
• Increased pill delay (400 -> 700)
• Decreased vial healing (5 x 5 sec -> 4 x 5 sec) (25 -> 20)
• Changed training kodachi delay to be the same as rusty kodachi

Donation Shop:

• Added Ultimate Recovery Vial / Ultimate Medical Pill / Ultimate Repair Vial / Ultimate Repair Pill (200 coins each), equivalent to the Lvl 60 pills/vials, except that they have 1 more clip (7 instead of 6)
• Added [SH] Advanced shotgun (3 clip / 11 damage / 1000 delay) for 200 coins
• Added [SSH] Printstream shotgun (2 clip / 12 damage / 1000 delay) for 200 coins

A new luckybox [Weapons III] which includes a bunch of new high tier items:

• Sniper: AWP Fade (4 clip / 88 damage / 1500 delay)
• Katana: Fire Katana 15 (15 damage / 359 delay) (you receive 2 variants: with animation and without animation)
• Katana: Ice Katana 15 (15 damage / 359 delay) (you receive 2 variants: with animation and without animation)
• Shotgun: [SH] Bloodsport (3 clip / 11 damage / 950 delay)
• Shotgun: [SH] Vogue (3 clip / 11 damage / 950 delay)
• Shotgun: [SSH] Neon Rider (2 clip / 12 damage / 950 delay)
• Shotgun: [SSH] Parallax (2 clip / 12 damage / 950 delay)

By the way, prior to this patch, sometimes when I minimized the game I couldn't launch back (I play on 2k res, while my screen is 4k res)
what let me launch is setting the screen to 2k and only then I could launch back.

Hopefully that's been taken care of now. ^^

I just recently had donor AP vials and HP pills removed from my account, any chance you will be re-adding those to the accounts who had previously bought them in V7?

All accounts that had them received a full refund for them a few years ago already, back when we announced that we removed them. Those pills/vials were again sent to said accounts a few months ago by mistake, which we quickly fixed by removing them again from said accounts.

Wow, good job! Very, very cool update. Especially the UI and archetype.

Off topic: I noticed the FG player-base is rising :) and also some good news, that other server who was claiming FGunz videos on YT with "MAIET Entertainment" claimed some of my newer videos again, but... this time... something weird happened! YouTube reactivated the video they took down with the copyright and a video from 3 years ago they also took down... Very interesting and confusing, since YT hasn't even sent me an email on why they were re-activated again.

So.. the tide is turning, inshallah, karma will never forget.

A minor patch has been applied to fix some bugs and crashes.

I barely play anymore, but playing a bit on this patch just now. I gotta say, this is really a bad update in my opinion. Here is why:

* The gameplay feels bad. Screenlagg everywhere, movement feels sluggish and slow in comparison to the last update. Idk what you changed about the gameplay but it really feels worse than before.

* Pills and vials are useless now. Imo pills and vials are what made GunZ clan wars fun in the last couple of months. You have the fast gameplay where you can follow up on people or rush people that are camping. Currently you heal less than meds but then again you also heal slower than meds... lol

* The new shotguns, what are those lmao. Not so long ago the hp/ap got increased and the spread has gotten revamped multiple times. And then you release 11 dmg shotguns with 3 clips, shotguns that you can 2shot with or deal a LOT of damage with in a short time and then run away and reload (you really can't follow them or rush them anymore because of the pills/vials nerf).

The last patch was perfectly fine. This patch however feels like a step-back (competitive) gameplay-wise. Other than that, I like the UI upgrades, etc.

Akimbo said the exact opposite, as in pills and vials are still OP and used by everyone in CWs, so who's right?

Regarding the new shotguns: I would like to get some feedback on them (I've only gotten feedback from like 4-5 people so far) and then adjust them accordingly. Perhaps increase their delay or decrease their damage by 0.5

I think they are fine since no one is gonna use them anyway for cws. But I do see people raging over these new sgs cuz they do a lot of dmg so maybe nerf them so people use them less so people don’t rq . Maybe match their delay with the psycho breaker sg (1050 delay)

why not another poll for pills and vials? and make sure cw players are able to vote by making a popup announcement ingame to vote (maybe put the poll on fgunz.net if thats possible).

I think if there's such 2 opposite opinions then the pills and vials are probably somewhere in the middle, so probably balanced I would say. I would love a poll on fgunz.net, launcher or ingame but it has to be coded first.

Akimbo is the only person i've seen complain about the new pills and vials, and he seems satisifed as he doesnt have to run into them as often in cws now. I personally preferred them before, as i feel like the ap meds which already took a long time, heal even less which is just detrimental to gameplay. And the new delay on the hp meds just cant be used as smoothly with fast gameplay.

On an unrelated note is it just me or has the soundplay been really off since the new update, somebody will be right next to be and it'll sound like they are far away/ below me or something.

You guys must have messed up the sound in some way, my soundplay has been absolute trash since the update, I often hear people behind me when were in front of me etc. Something is def wrong.

poll the pills/vials, i've not seen anyone complain about them before except for akimbo, literally.

how they were before pushed the limits for cw

edit: i've crashed 5 times today......

so ive been playing for a lil while and ive got a few things:

1. i dont know why or how, but for some reason movements are way slower and sluggish after the update. im not the only one a few more ppl have the same problem.

2. crashes are still a hindrance imo.

3. the hp pill and repair vial nerf kind of messed up the pace of the clanwar. i liked it the way it was before. i dont know why you guys made a decision based off of 1 persons opinion.. maybe it was best to make a poll like you did with other major updates?

Yeah, i was also going to ask about this. It's really confusing to play sometimes in tdm or etc. since the new update because of like a bug in the soundplay. I thought I was the only one who is experiencing it but then when i was watching iBDW's stream earlier, he also mentioned about this problem while he was cw'ing. So, please fix it asap and most importantly, please also fix the crashes first before releasing any new updates if you guys want to keep the new players in the server.

We actually fixed an existing sound issue by fixing the distance at which you can hear sounds (previously, many players could not hear any sounds from players more than 10-15 meters away), only the distance was fixed so you can now hear sounds much further away. But I will double check.

I believe thats what causing players to feel like theres a bug. it feels really weird to me suddenly hearing things across the map, when before i had to get close and if i heard something, i knew someone was coming/an enemy/teammate was nearby whereas now, theres just a chaos of sounds 24/7. having a distance threshhold is a good idea imo

Did not understand what everyone was talking about until i played with my earpiece yesterday. The sounds really dont make sense, its unplayable with earbuds. Asked a few others and they had the same issue as well. Any updates?

Any updates on the poll for pills/vials as well? Only seen Akimbo complain about how they used to be.
