FGunZ Update // 28 AUGUST 2018

Hey Freestylers,

we have released a new update for you!

FGUNZ UPDATE // 28 AUGUST 2018

• Improved game performance
  
  
• Fixed false-positive Anti-Virus / Firewall issues which would cause various programs like Windows Defender to block or delete gunz.exe without reason, this should also fix the issue where your launcher can't update gunz.exe
  
  
• Added Turbo Mode map limitation (small maps are now disabled)
  
  
• Increased dagger range to be the same as katanas (like in V7) (160 -> 220)
  
  
• Updated Eventinfo commands for staff members and added new events to it (thanks to our ETs <3)
  
  
• Switched 'Cancel' and 'OK' buttons on room creation... because, well, they were the wrong way round (people coming from other servers will appreciate the consistency)

OTHER // NEW COSMETIC BOX

• We added a new cosmetic box at https://fgunz.net/cosmeticbox for all those players looking for new cosmetic items!
  
  
• The cosmetic box will cost 20 coins and include 122 different prizes and they are all permanent! Brand new items only!
  
  Prizes are individual pieces (like hair, hats, accessory), avatars and full sets (consisting of 2-5 pieces, depending on the sets)

The cosmetics look pretty exciting but it's kind of sad that out of 206 items, none of them are available to non-donor players in the in-game store. Adding to that, the removal of smaller maps in Turbo (which is good) makes it much harder for said players to earn coins in order to buy these new items. In a way, this update doesn't benefit them at all; and considering there aren't many of them remaining, I hope you decide to add some new cosmetics in the in-game store as well.

Thanks for finally updating the dagger range, though. Hope to see some maps added back in the near future.

Personally I do not see why dagger should have the exact same range as katana's (in theory if you hold a katana "irl" you should have a longer distance compared to a dagger.
I would probably set it to 200 at most from 160 (still a huge increasement).

These cosmetical boxes better be just MAIET items, I can already see some meh custom made stuff that are just taken from other games (not a fan of copy pasta work and just rig it).

It was a prominent request/suggestion to change daggers back to their V7 range (220)

I know but I was talking about a middle ground of 160 and 220 > 200.

So these are just downloaded customs scraped from others games. *shivers* XD

Dagger has a disadvantage already cuz you cant block and tbf
And you couldnt really attack ppl cuz of the range it had.
Sword was too op. Even dueling a newgen was really hard.
Fixing it back to 220 range was a smart move and hopefully the old d stylers will came back playig again

Neat, maybe I'll comeback to dstyling a bit now, it used to be fun back at V7.

I agree with EternalBeast about the cosmetics, but hey, you already have plans for that, which is good.

You should look at how it should be in real life cuz in real life you wouldnt be able to wall run and blimb on walls.

Or just look at the base model, daggers are usually a 3rd of a katana. *shrug*
Anyhow would the range be enough to get people back into Dstyle, if I just look at the donation versions katana gives 5 more damage, only 5 extra weight (weight is pretty irrelevant) and 20 delay or so.

Aye. But there are some daggers who are much longer like the lvl 98 dagger.
They used to be (long) daggers but they removed the title in v8
200 range wont help at all cuz the swords will still be longer then the daggers. I dunno if you ever tried to use dagger in s duel but its mission impossible. They can just spam clicking with sword and win the duel.

if theyre for a specific gender, can you change the drops according to the major gender taken of the characters on the account?

That wouldn't be wise. I hope they give out drops for both genders like they do with Cat in the Hat. 122 unique drops would already require 2440 coins, so one can't expect people to gamble for a specific item of a specific gender with a chance of 1/244 or 0.4%.

Is the algorithm smart enough to determine whether we already got an item? Or is the chance getting double / triple and so on of the same remains the same?

It's probably around 80% female and 20% male.

Be extremely lucky. Getting all of them by yourself is pretty unrealistic though given it's 122 items... that is unless you have a lot of coins.

There's now a button to see all the items.

An item for an item.. but in a safer way for players that they wouldn't get scammed.
An example of that is; sending a request for another player, my item is : "Black Wings" and his item is : "Yuna Set" (items that you pick) with an option for the other player to accept or not. (With a delay between requests) and etc..

It's a pretty big project because both sides need to be in sync with each other. Also a bunch of checks must be in place in order to prevent abuse.

perhaps they dont need to be in sync, like sending "private messages" with updates of the items placed?

And what i see is. Players are still donating? even though the game does not have lots of player, not enjoyable.
