The difference between anti-lead and lead

I was playing in a dual match which is now obviously anti-lead, and I noticed that my badly (ping 100+)lagging opponent shot me after I had gotten behind cover.
Recently, people have been asking me why I playing lead rooms and what is lead?
I play in lead rooms because when I do this doesn't happen.
I really wish I could play ranked clan wars and dual matches, but it feels cheap because of anti-lead.

Im not saying its not good. In saying anti lead sucks for this game.

the community is used to playing with anti lead, they dont find it logical that they have to assume where you're gonna be in the future and shoot the nothingness there, which is why you dont see many lead rooms.
(it also means hackers cant hack so they're against it :o.o )

LoL well I dont find it logical that my opponents are hitting me with bullets when they aren't even there.
If you ask me, I'd rather sense where the person should be, than that!

Anti-Lead is the future man. Instead of running around a wall to get shot you gatta be the one putting those shots in. It makes the game that much easier in the aspect you don't have to look at everyone's ping before hand to hit them properly or like.. Idk I don't miss having to lead my targets at all and I've played since the beta for international so I KNOW lead. Just embrace it m8. Get your aim 10/10 , and if you really hate it that much then you're already doing what you should be doing, taking advantage of that [LEAD] code. Maybe make a lead clan or something , start a movement.

Actually agree with you, would like to see some lead rooms ingame, without the 180 - 1000 pingers ofcourse '-'

could be a channel below freestylers events or wherever which would always have lead auto enabled and remove the [lead] tag :o.o

as cid said though, it doesnt make sense that you ahve to look at people's pings before being able to know where to shoot. a hit is a hit, even if lead adds an aspect to the game which forces you to predict the opponent's movement.

anti lead is being used in many next gen games, but I think those games are not quite the same as this one. Maybe the servers are faster or maybe its because they are fps or not quite as fast paced, but anti lead is less noticable in those games. I never had to worry about leading at all because the way I played didnt rely on shooting as much as all around skill, cuz Even I do not want to deal with lead shooting, but Im not trying to get hit by ppl who arent there. Im not the best player in the game right now, but I kno when something isnt right.

It has to be a seperate server below the "official" one, complete with its own moderators and events and whatever else this server provides as a service to the players.
Thats assuming everyone is a lagger. If the server is in america we can market the game to americans. The game can make more money and better servers can be bought.

Meanwhile people like Sky don't care about the lead/anti lead and they just shoot at the person's model.

I think lead is better as I cant hit anything on anit lead allowing me to do more damage on lead.

unfortunately with all the enthusiasm making a completely different server would only seperate the community even further, lets start off by getting more people to play gunz in general and then create multiple servers with different play styles.
a channel for purely lead would do just fine, dont need any moderators for such a channel except for mentioning in reports wether the channel was normal or lead.

@OP I support with the whole marketing of this game but note that this is only a private server; we have our limits. Also the lack of interest in this game is starting to grow for many people sadly (myself included lol :() and it'll have to come to an end sometime. Adding some new rims to an old car doesn't make it new ;-;

Every game that has 'anti lead' features has the exact same problem.

Have you ever played CS:GO? One of the leading FPS' games in the genre right now, if you are vsing a 140~200+ ping awper, you can die well behind cover, because on his screen you are still out.

I remember the struggle trying to hit 200/250 pingers.

People join my game just like any other, and that's fine. I just wish that I could clan war and have dual matches that are ranked in lead Mode. Adding a seperate channel for lead cw/duel would do the trick.
I think alot of people only tolerate antilead, because they dont know what it is, and think being shot from around the corner is normal.

Has anyone noticed these people who are for anti-lead don't say anything supporting their ideas?
I'm guessing these are the people with like 20-60 ping for everyone all the time.
Either that or they don't actully play the game or are new gens...

Another server which I will not mention is a lead server , with more options, more stages, more ppl, and they have lead tournaments.

Anti lead is pretty shit when "pro players" use aimfix and rape u without even aiming, 60% of the community is unlegit as fvck.

Then again,people who live in asia get condemn for distance ping. Anti-lead or lead despite having stable ping. Asians = BR to many.

Every other video game that you've ever played online has "anti-lead", so it's natural gunz would evolve to have it also. Antilead doesn't make a game cheap, antilead fixed a mistake in maiets programming.

MAIET didn't think of anti-lead because they originally made the game in Korea. All players in Korea probably had a ping of 5-10ms to each other which pretty much does not require any leading.

When they made an international server, people from all around the world started playing which introduced distance lagg and required leading.

Unless you have been living under a rock for the past 10 years im pretty sure everyone knows what the difference between lag compensation is. Considering it was in games as far back as Call of Duty 2. The reason you notice its disadvatages so much more (ex. dying around a corner) is because you move 2 or 3 times faster in gunz than a standard fps plus the fact that you have players with pings many times higher than you do in a highly populated game with regional matching. Everyone always used to bitch about people with 100+ ping even before antilead. Use the room tags if you want to lead.
