FGunZ Update // September 20, 2015 // Challenge Quest!

We have a very interesting update for you today.
This update requires a whole new download of all FGunZ files, so it may take a bit to download the client. After the update finishes, you may discard of any ".fgz" files in your directory, as only ".fgz2" is used going forward.
This is mainly done so we may do incremental patches a bit easier.
Special thanks to Nexys from an unmentioned GunZ server for his help in getting together the new launcher.
Challenge Quest
We are proud to announce that we now offer the "Challenge Quest" game mode.
As the name suggests, this is a much more challenging quest game mode. Do not come into this mode unprepared, it will likely be too difficult. The content is tuned around having item level 10 Uncommon weapons at the very minimum. It's also got a few twists not present in the original game mode from MAIET.
Items that are Equip Level 40 to 80 drop within this quest mode. Items levels 0 to 15 drop within this quest mode as well.
Scaling/sacrificing has been disabled for Challenge Quest.
The Item Level cap has been raised and is now capped at 30. The maximum item you can sacrifice is now capped at 15. Why have we done this, you ask?
Our intention is in the future to have two ways of obtaining the highest quest rarities: You may quest for a base item, which has a random rarity and item level. This item should feel like an upgrade and a more powerful item when you obtain it.
This also allows us to add new quests with higher exp rewards that require better items to access. We hope this is to your liking and we expect players to provide suggestions regarding this feature.

If you're lucky, you might even get ahold of the Mythical weapons (which are not in this update, but one coming soon!)
In the future, the ability to upgrade your items' rarity and quest item level will be able to be done on the website.
With a randomly generated chance modifier, you'll be able to upgrade items from Item Level 1 all the way up to 30 using event and donation coins.
With a even harder chance modifier, you'll be able to upgrade items from rarity Uncommon all the way up to Rarity Legendary using the same event and donation coins.
VIP members will have an easier time upgrading their items.
We intend to disable scaling in normal quest, but allow for sacrificing. This means NPCs won't get harder, but you will get more powerful.
We intend to add a new type of quest stat, "Damage Modifier", in a future update. This will increase your weapon's base damage by a percentage when you equip it during PVE game modes. This damage modifier will be found on all items, including clothing that may drop in the future.

Other Changes
- In order to receive XP from quests, you are now required to be alive.
- You now must complete a whole quest in order to receive the full XP. Rounds prior to boss rounds give a reduced amount of experience.
- Quest EXP amount is now displayed in chat after you finish a round.
- FPS fixes have been applied and an optimization pass of the game client has taken place.
- FPS limiter has been changed entirely. This will result in a much more smooth gameplay experience.
- JJangs are now equipped items instead of being applied directly to your account. Everyone who had a JJang will have to check their storage for their new, equippable JJang.
- Added a bunch of missing item icons for a bunch of items, such as dashes.
- It is now possible to create a clan with a length of 3 characters.
- The button to switch between the GunZ 1.0/1.5 item layout has been returned to the equipment window.
- Some items have been re-exported in order to fix bugs related to shaders. This will fix disappearing item issues with shadows and lighting enabled
- Female XYZ set feet are now no longer invisible.
- Super soaker shotguns have been slightly modified.
- Optimizations have been made to the RealSpace2 engine to improve initial GunZ client load times. This should help out those on older PCs.
New Exclusive Items
- 3 new versions of the ShadowCurse katana: green, blue and red.
- A new dagger "Ritual Dagger" has been aded. Also in green, blue and red.
- A new very exclusive item "Cat In The Hat". Same stats as donation head piece, max weight +25, *1.25 XP bonus.
The Ritual daggers and ShadowCurse katanas can be bought in the event shop.
The 'Cat In The Hat' item can be won from the lucky boxes. Note that it will not affect your chance of receiving the LimitBreaker.
