Wooden Sword

Hello.

I am very new to making stuff like this. I have only had one class in Maya, and I used Maya to make this. It is a wooden sword. My goal for this is to make a sword that does 1 damage. I personally hate the candy cane sword because of it's shape and volume. Also, I hate that it does 0 damage instead of 1. Now I understand the usefulness of a 0 damage melee weapon, but I also see the fun in a 1 damage melee weapon for the lulz. :) I also like the idea of a wooden sword as a sort of training weapon. I would imagine it to have a low delay, like perhaps 310-320, as opposed to 330-350. 315 would be perfect!

So here are the screenshots. Please don't flame me for being bad at textures among other things. :( I'm new to this! D: Constructive criticism and advice is good though :)

If any dev would like to support my cause in making a 1 damage wooden sword, please let me know via pm or here if you'd like, because it would make me very happy! ^_^ I can email you or skype the exported .obj file. Please know that I don't know anything about GDK Radiant or how to take any steps beyond here in the development process. :)

This idea isn't new.
It was a legendairy/rare sword from ijji.
But i like what you did and it's pritty nice!
Keep up the good work, practice makes perfect.

Do you know that MAIET originally made wooden items (big sword, katana and so on)?

The fact that this was already once a thing as you guys have said makes me like the idea even more. I do not claim it to be my own idea of course, I mean, there's nothing really creative in a "1 damage sword," but I would just like to have one in game. Maybe I'll work on a dagger for my next thingy. :)

Come to think of it, I remember now that I actually used to have the 10-damage wooden sword from ijji. I think I bought it for a really small amount of G Coins a long time ago. I remember that it was my favorite sword to train with, which probably drove my inspiration for this sword.
