This thread will be used for forum updates and maintenance announcements.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Last couple of years we have build our own network in 2 core-locations: Switch DC (Amsterdam) and Evoswitch (Haarlem). As we have much more control over everything at these new locations we are now moving all servers that are still in networks we do not have full control over to Evoswitch. For this reason we have planned the following maintenance window for your server(s) with us:

- The night of 27 to 28 November
- Starting at November 28, 01.00 AM Amsterdam time
- End of migration at 07.00 AM

Tldr; forum will be offline from 1AM until 7AM at 28 November, GMT +1 timezone (Amsterdam/Europe)

Tomorrow, 1 December, the forum will be offline between 1PM and 5PM CET timezone.
Server of the forum will be moved to a fast SSD platform in the cloud.

Estimated downtime: 1-2 hours.

Forum will go down in about 2 hours:

Migration finished.
Chatbox still has some issues, will look into it.

In-depth details:
Server of the forum has been moved to an other platform in the cloud which runs on a SSD, which is much faster than a HDD.
All software has been updated to the latest version.
Memcached is now used on the forum since vBulletin has built-in support for this.

Server of the forum crashed, downtime of roughly 1.5 hours.
Everything is up and running again.

Due to a major power outage in North-Holland/Amsterdam, the forum was offline for a couple of hours.
Everything is up and running again.

Forum has been moved to a new host to avoid more downtime in the future.

For golden members:
All forum name changes have been reset up until July 31, 2015.
That means that if you reached your limit, you can probably change your forum name again.

This will happen tomorrow instead, around 1PM CET timezone.

Forum will go down for a couple of hours at 12PM CET timezone. (2 hours from now)

PHP has been upgraded to the latest version (7) and the OPCache module has been installed.
The forum is literally 2 times faster now.

As you can see the forum now uses HTTPS to stick to today's standards.
fgunz.net will also start using HTTPS soon.

The forum will be offline on April 27th for about a minute between 10AM - 11:40AM CET since it will be moved to a different infrastructure.

Forum software has been updated. Downtime was about 40 minutes.

Freestyle GunZ will go down for maintenance tomorrow at around 1 PM UTC as we update everything to V8. Both the website and game will be unreachable. This process may take a few hours.

Once the website is back online you will be able to enjoy V8 to the fullest.

To those who can change their own forum name, I've reset all forum name change entries so you can change your forum name again.

Everyone with the golden member rank can now change their forum name 20 times instead of the 10 times it was previously set to.
