In-game font color code that removes font color

Using ^Y is the closest compromise if you want to go back to the default gray after already using a color beforehand, but this doesn't work for instances when the default color ISN'T the default gray. Like when you streak, the default is yellow. If you're MVP, the default is green. ^Y isn't even the default gray but a different shade of gray.
It will essentially function like the [/color] code here in the forums.
For what character would be used, maybe we can go with "^!" or some other punctuation mark since 1-0 and A-Z are already unavailable.
A very useful application for this would be to have colors ONLY for one's name and not the text after (or vice versa). To illustrate:
Effect 1: No colors
Name = Amamin
Normal chat = Amamin: Hello!
Streak = Amamin has won 10 duel matches in a row in room #1 in channel 'Freestylers World'.
Team chat = (Team)Amamin: Hello!
Effect 2: Colored name, gray text
Name = ^NAmamin^Y
Normal chat = Amamin: Hello!
Streak = Amamin has won 10 duel matches in a row in room #1 in channel 'Freestylers World'.
Team chat = (Team)Amamin: Hello!
Effect 3: Colored name, no colors after
Name = ^NAmamin^!
Normal chat = Amamin: Hello!
Streak = Amamin has won 10 duel matches in a row in room #1 in channel 'Freestylers World'.
Team chat = (Team)Amamin: Hello!
Effect 3 and its inverse are currently impossible. Effect 2 only works for normal chat and not on streaks/team chats/any other scenario.
