Just to make it clear, I didnt get a folder in my documents when I installed FG.

Hmm. I guess your windows account / FGunZ is missing rights to write to that directory.

I faced the same issue a few weeks ago even when all my permissions remained unchanged. Gunz.exe wasn't allowed to write to system folders. Adding the FGunz client folder (where gunz.exe is present) to my Bitdefender exceptions, and subsequently removing it again, fixed it for me.
