sp3 is latest service pack for xp I THINK. SuperWaffle, i close all tasks that arent needed and it gave me direct X error again lol

yeah, still game launch error

no error message, as said before, i hit play now and nothing happens, no direct x error, no error box or message of any sort.

ok, just tried that. no change.

yes , also installed, and went back and reinstalled, and just to make sure were both on the same page, im no longer getting direct x error

ok, im back, now instead of getting direct x error, nothing happens.

Flavour, i dont see config.xml there.

also tried reinstalling, forgot to add that im using avast anti virus

serpento, i dont have that file anymore due to the FAQ saying to delete it

just tried that, it said a more up to date or equivalent version of it was already installed.

read FAQ, tried updating drivers .
