    Hello Freestylers,

I went over this briefly in my last blog post, but I'll go into slightly more detail of the weapon balancing for V8 in this post.

Now that I've worked through the close range portion of balancing I'll let you know roughly how it will boil down.

    For close range battles:

    (Best) ------ to ------ (Worst)

    (Shotguns, SMG's) --- (Pistols) --- (Revolvers, Rifles, MG's) --- (Snipers)

Anything in the same parenthesis group is comparable.

Rockets cant be directly compared to the hit scan weapons in the same manner. They are more of a lower burst damage tactical weapon.

    As for the classification:

Close Range = Shotguns and SMG's

Mid Range = Pistols and MG's

Long Range = Rifles and Revolvers

    Extreme Range = Snipers

    Situation Specific = Rockets.

This isn't to say that you can't use rifles and revs in close range and be lethal, it's just that it will be easier to be lethal with a shotgun or smg in close range, where the opposite would be true at long range, a shotgun or smg will have a harder time against a rifle or rev at long range.

I'll post more specific details later.

Good basis to start from, any thoughts on what the differences are going to be between single and double?

Certain doubles will be replaced with a different class of singles.
