Making a signature takes more than just put a background place a render into it and put a blending option on the render.
Please take ur time doing it, and put some effort into it.
since ur new to it i won't overjudge, but i do recommend you to go read some tutporials. go for example to www.gfxvoid.com you can find GREAT tutorials in there that will truly help you out.
