Its a matter of your preferences , are you a fan of swords then you might want to consider binding block to your right mouse button and flip to shift , seeing that you'll use block a shitload more.

Think of a setup that works for you and start practicing.
Theres awesome guides on youtube on basic moves , just practice em and try to use em in battles , i actually learned my first bit of k-style ( slash shot) while swapping in factory , i went to my partner while trying to slashshot
