    Hi ho,

    I recently got a really shitty monitor for free: "HP 1702 15-inch monitor", i think it detates from around 2006-2007 lul. Anyways, when I plugged it in, it says "Going to sleep". Now I already searched for alot of things on the internet, but no soluting really worked.

    This is Dutch, but it's just to indicate it's not 10 years old yet, else they would've removed the product from their support thingy;

    If you're willing to help me solve this probably, simply remove "nl-nl" to "de-de" if you're German or w/e the fk u from =D

    Any help would be greatly appriciated and I'd like to thank you for your time in advance..

    Cheers.

    The connector is most likely broken. Did you try all the inputs?

    Also did you plug it in as the only monitor or as the second monitor? Does it work as a standalone monitor?

    Have you tried a HDMI cable (if it has the support for it)?

    issues with the input, either the video input slot, cable or computer.
    Going to sleep means that the monitor has nothing to display.
